The night that night was very dark. There were no stars in the sky. Just darkness everywhere. I sit in my room with candles glowing. Wondering where you are. I feel a cold chill run up and down my spine. Wanting you are there next to me but, knowing I can't have you til you are ready. I start to take a walk. Watching, listening, thinking. and wishing that you were there with me. I am so tired of being alone and wondering when I will find you. So I just keep walking and looking. I go back to my room feeling better from the walk but, knowing that when it is my time you will find me and come to me. I know what I want but, knowing and getting is two different things. So I sit here alone knowing that tomorrow will come and one you will be that tomorrow. You have to follow your heart. No matter where it takes you. Taking one day at a time guarding who and what you are. Til that time when you come to me and accept me for who I am.

You walk outside one spring nite. The air is cool, the sky is filled with a million of stars, and all is quiet around you. You look up into the sky and see the stars. Little ones, big ones, dull ones, and bright ones all unique in there own way. The wind kicks up and sends a chill up your spin. At that very moment you know that that someone special who you have in your heart is thinking about you. Maybe he is looking up at the same stars as you right now. You close your eyes and start to dream that he is standing beside you. Keeping you close and not letting go of you. You understand each other without any words being said. You know that when you are together nothing is impossile. As you stand there and you can feel nothing but the two of you. A smile comes across your face because at that moment you realize you have found your Best Friend. You open your eyes and you realize that you are all alone. No one standing beside you, no one going through the thick and thin with you, no one holding your hand, and no one standing there enjoying the stars wtih you. You realize it is just you taking every day one day at a time. So it is just you wishing on the stars above that he will come into your life. I wonder how many nights I will have to stand outside, under the stars wishing for you to come to me. Wondering if you are out there.....Are you?

I can see your shadow but, not your face. You have gentle ways, kind words, and you are very caring. You want to make me happy. I pass you by on the street, in the store, and I have no idea you are there. You smile like you do and I smile back thinking that you are nice and friendly person. However, I keep walking away. Always wondering if I have missed you. Wondering if I haven't taken the time to stop and see you for who you really are. I keep wondering around looking for you. Then I realize if I stop looking maybe you will show yourself to me. So I go about my day by day after day. Smiling, laughing, talking to my friends. Then all of a sudden you are there. We see each other for who and what we are. Friends. You have been there all along. Listening to me, to my problems, my troubles, my success, and my joys. You have supported me when I didn't have anyone else to support me. You stood by me in my grief, and you rolled on the ground laughing with me. We have talked at all hours of the day and night. You are my best friend. The one that I can't live without. The one that makes me laugh, makes me smile, makes me cry and make me remember what love is all about.. You know who you are. Thank you for coming into my life when I needed you and not leaving me when I was down. I'm greatful to call you my Best Friend. You know who you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The rain is coming down, the thunder is loud, and the sky is bright from all the lighting. However, I stand here alone. The rain is hitting me soft, wet, and cold and I stand looking up into the sky. I stand here wonder what it would be like to have you with me. Waking every morning with you beside me and going to sleep at night with you next to me. Listening to you talk about your day, what you did, how work was, and most of all how much you love me. But, before that can happen, a step must be made. You must first realize that I am the one you want. The one you can't live with but, yet can't live without. You get scared and turn away. But, I stand my ground because I know you and what you are..My Best Friend. The one that I have been looking and waiting for. So I will wait for you. For you to realize that I am what you want and need in your life. You are the brightest star in the night, the warmth from the sun, the fullness of the moon, and the love that everyone dreams of. You are the one that is ment for me.. The one that will stand beside me through life. Not behind me or in front of me but, right by my side. For this I will always love you. You are strength, kind, caring, loving, breath taking, and most of all...You are mine and you have my heart.
