Awoken by screams and shots fired seemingly into nowhere.
We are told it is all in our head.
Yet we see the signs all around.
The bum on the street begging for change.
Fights in the streets.
Misplaced anger all over.
Is this my imagination?
Or is it real?
That is how they want us to think.
Everything is under control they say.
Deep down we feel it is not.
Yet chose to ignore it.
When will we learn the truth.
Maybe never.
Until then she screams and shots in our dreams will haunt us for eternity.
