so the year is ending... confess that in 2006 I... x ate sushi x got naked on the beach at night x drove more than 200 miles x played world of warcraft x played matchmaker x met some interesting people on myspace & cherrytap x wrote an articles for the kiteboarder magazine x had some photos published in the kiteboarder magazine x discovered "The Lake Effect" x opened my business to a very successful 1st year x learned coding x made a ton of friends under the age of 18 (skateboarders!) x created a sucessful fundraising project x gave lots of hugs x made people laugh x drank way too much at the Idler x danced a bit freaky at Wayside x went to a strip club x learned to kiteboard better x saw the hurricane damage in alabama x visited new orleans and met dan from the real world x met anthony keidis from the chili peppers @ my shop x got crushed between 70,000 people at lollapalooza x lost my grandmother x made a lot of good friends x realized that not all girls are evil x got to a point where I'm happy in life x lost weight, then gained it back (damn it!) x failed my first college class ever (the shop took priority!) x love someone so much it hurt x did a 1980's dance x sang Vanilla Ice "Ice Ice Baby" x jammed out with the boys and girls of summer "You're too tan, b#$ch" x got jealous x wished I was someplace else x needed a sabbatical x ate x drank x slept x F#$@ed (farted, what do you think I meant, dirty mind) x brushed my teeth in the shower (multi-tasking) x taught someone something new x learned something new x saw a friend from the past x ran across someone I wish I didn't x enjoyed myself thoroughly x am happy

There's not a lot of my art that I'm proud of anymore. Besides the commercial art that I create for Sharkless, it's been quite a while since I've done some work that I can acutally connect with and am willing to claim as my own. I really would like to put together a portfolio of my work that I am truly proud of. It's been several years that I have been into fine art & graphic design and I want to show what I am made of. I want to get back to the root of things, get my hands dirty with some charcoal and find my inspiration again. I miss it.

My passion in life is art & boardsports. The culmination of the two of those passions, created my business: Sharkless Boardsports. I do all the graphics and some of the coding for the site. Along with my husband, I also handle all the customer service & shipping. This is my first year, and I'm excited about the growth of my business.
