Yesssss!
It's finally snowing here!!!!!!
Okay, sure it's a litte early for snow, but the weather guy said a few days ago that the average 1st snowfall for the Twin Cities is October 15th, so we're only a few days ahead of that!
But it's so nice! It's even staying on the graound for a litte while, not melting right away like it usually does. I can't wait for a big snowstorm. One of my friends said he heard a news report that the weather conditions are exactly the same this year as they were in 1991 when we had the Megastorm! And that was 3+ feet of snow on Halloween! Ha, only a couple of weeks for that!
Of course, some people don't like it. My friend from Colorado, who moved here (well, actually Duluth, so a couple hours further north) a month ago, partially on my advice, called me up yesterday. "WHAT THE F*** IS THIS????!!!" She screams at me. I told her it meant the ski season would start early. "Oh...Ok."
But still, I know it's not much, only three days in a row of the stuff, none of it's going to last, yet I'm still glad to see it, it portends good things for the months to come.
...though, most of you will probably think me crazy....
