Photography

I am sleepy as I write this blog, but I thought I would wrap up the night by updating my blogs. I don't get to write online as much as I used to, but this is one thing I love. A lot of my work now is wrapped up in photographing people at work places, buildings for their web sites, and even real estate for the real estate webs...so I thought I would do this just for fun. I am still an intermediate photographer, but the best way to become a better photographer is to practice, so I thought I would see if anyone is interested.

I do a lot of business 'stuff', and my true passion is in the art of photography. I don't care if people are naked, clothed, climbing ropes, in a dungeon, hitting a baseball...it is the true reason I love photography. It is the moment in time when a scene is frozen forever...and printed or put on a web page for eternity. I am still working at getting better, so I just got some new gear, read a whole lot of technical stuff on the "what if" and I think I am ready to apply that knowledge. So...I am going to say I am interested in working in r/l with people that are interested in the creating of a photograph or series of photographs. You can use them on fubar/my space/facebook...and give me the credit and the experience. I am in Columbus...and I am available to work with people for almost free. Here is the catch...if you want to work in a studio...you would have to pay the fee for the rental...but we might be able to get a few people together...and share the cost. I do, however, live near a few metro parks...and their are some awesome waterfalls, flower gardens, bike paths...etc. if you want to do it the cheap way. I also can be bribed with pizza. Anyhow, I would be happy to provide my "models" copies of the edited pics...on DVD. I am game for most scenes....so goths, alternative lifestyles, nudes, lingerie/boudoir...I am willing to work with you. Just jot me a note...and I am also very willing to travel to sunny/warm climates if the travel is paid and I have someone's floor I can crash on:)

Vacation

I once was fortunate to live ONE block from the Atlantic Ocean, in Florida. I mean, I didn't have the best living conditions...the building was older and made of concrete blocks, with multimillion dollar houses and condos all around, but it was a COOL living environment. Every day was like vacation. I would love to get up at 5am...put on my sweats and running shoes...and hit the beach. Every morning, after you've lived at the beach for a while, you start to see the regulars...the people that are the runners, the dog walkers, even the yoga instructor. I was fortunate enough to be able to run far enough to be in a national park within a two mile run, so I would stop at the point along the beach, catch my breath, and watch the ocean. There always is something therapeutic about the ocean...no matter what ails you...if you stare long enough at the water and the horizon, eventually you will find some sort of cure. Anyhow, one October morning(the wind was starting to turn cold), I was staring out at the horizon, and I saw a pod of  bottleneck dolphins up near the beach...swimming south. It was really cool, and sort of made my entire week. They were probably heading south to warmer waters in the Caribbean. Anyhow, I loved the beach.

I was almost always on vacation the minute I got off work. I was that lucky to have lived that close to the beach. Now, I have to drive 1000 miles, pay nearly five hundred dollars for a mere week to do that. Of course, I don't have to worry about missing the changing of the seasons...I get a reality check every December in Ohio...the weather nearly always changes daily from late August to March. I just have to remember all the good things I experienced at the beach. Of course, I could always fish...year around...which was one of the main reasons I moved to Florida to begin with:)

I have always wondered what it would be like to live on the other coast. San Diego is too big a city..I am thinking about closer to the border of Mexico...near the shark infested waters. What would the fishing be like? I know I would love the surfing...and it could be a great sport....hmmm...something to think about.

I just got my fuzzy/soft/loose plaid pajamas out of the drawer..and as I was putting them on tonight, realized I would probably never have worn anything like these when I was still in a serious relationship. I guess I grew up without any serious hangups about body image...or I just like my body to stay cool at night. I don't know...anyhow...I remember one Christmas trying to figure out what to get my girlfriend at the time...and she wanted a pajama set. Now, being a typical guy in a typical relationship...I automatically assumed she wanted lingerie. Of coure, there are drawbacks to getting to what I want at two am when it includes garter belts and hose and all that jazz...so I realized that maybe I should play it safe...and get one sexy outfit...and one baby doll like Heather wears on the show with Hugh Heffner....a pink number. The baby doll won out..and to be honest with you, fellas(and ladies) it was a LOT easier to get to things when I wanted them<WINK> when the time came. Of course, it replaced the wool granny flannel outfit she wore all the time(she was ultra conservative...and always cold)...so I guess I won in some respects. I personally love a little eye candy when I am getting ready to sleep..a peek at maybe a little boobie bouncing around in there...you know...so I guess I won in more ways than one:)

My neighborhood is pretty conservative and on the brink of white collar...and I guess most of the people here wear formal pajamas? I don't know...I know I grew up with tighty whities...before the boxer thing caught on. Then, after a little time living in California...most of the clothes I wore weren't really that important..since they came off the instant I hit the beach...I had some hellacious sunburns at first...but it was worth it. I think that I slept in sweats most of the time I was in college...but after I got my own apartment...it was back to the nudist for me. I guess it is just the feeling of cool air on my skin at night...I love it.

I dated a lady that was conservative as well...and she wore almost always a silk pair of pajamas to bed every night...pant and shirt type....but I think that she liked to be naked as much as me when it was just us in the house....maybe it is just the way we see ourselves. I know from my experiences at the beach...that sometimes..the big guys with the big beer bellies tried to wear the speedos...and they probably were the main habitants on the nude beaches. (I just looked down...and sadly...I am getting one of those things)...

I dated a model once...and she had the best self-image of anyone I have ever met...she loved to be naked...and she could easily stand there talking to you in a grocery store...or someplace public and not break a sweat even if she was naked. She could also get off her dress the fastest I have ever seen. Of course, I think Hugh Heffner has the right idea...I would LOVE to live in a house of just ladies that wore pink doll babies that barely covered their butts....with a slumber party every night....one can dream...can't one? I think it boils down to the person's self-image..and the amount of privacy...if you have kids..you understand that(the two year old that can't sleep) Anyhow...what do people out there think? Do most people wear just underwear? or do they still wear pajamas? Lingerie?
