The day has once again come to a close. And this time with a few obstacles that came my way. But nothing that I do not put my faith in being resolved. I am thankful for all of those that I touched today. For a simple smile that made someone stop for a moment and smile back even if they were having a bad day. For the night breeze that has cooled things down, and for friends and family.
Someday, all will be seen as it should be and not as it is seen now.
I came across a woman today that was so filled with anger, that nothing seemed to give her even the smallest bit of happiness. When I spoke to her and her anger was strong, I stopped and listened, and said not another word. Then she stopped in her words for a moment and wondered. She asked me what my problem was, and I said I am sorry that she was having such a bad day and perhaps she needed a hug. The woman looked at me dazed and confused. I walked out from behind the counter and gave her a hug, and although she resisted for a moment, she gave me one back...and walked away a bit calmer.
The simpliest things in life such as a hug can bring even the smallest bit of happiness if only for a moment. I am sure she will be as she was with us all, again tomorrow, but she will look back now and remember that some stranger gave her a hug for no apparent reason!!!!
