Hey to all my new friends that have been missing me that past couple of days. Went for what was supposed to - oh about a six or seven hour trip - and it turned into a two day event lol We headed out to Brandon (about 2 1/2 hrs outta Winnipeg) for a family event and left pretty much on time as planned ...was near the end of the day ...dusk. By the time night fell completely we couldn't see a thing on the highway. Snowing and blowing snow ...I swear couldn't see a foot in front of the car. The driver said, nope, not driving in this - which was good - cuz I woulda suggested we stop if he didn't. My boys were in the car, no reason to risk anything. So we stopped in a nearby one-horse kinda town. This was a novelty to my boys who haven't been any where remotely so small lol ...was a town with a main street and a few more jutting off of that ...not much more else. Was interesting listening to their comments and questions ...most of which I don't remember now but had me laughing at the time ;) Anyway, spent the night in MacGregor (get to list that as one more place I've been lol). The motel rooms were all right, clean with comfy beds, but it wasn't home and I still didn't sleep all that well. Got up in the morning and nothing was better than it had been all night, only difference was it was daylight and we could see lol ...so off we headed back home. I shoulda slept when I got home but didn't ...had to get online and see if my luv was around ...and when he wasn't, sit around and wait for him to be lol ...gawd, I was soooooooo tired. I was in bed early for me ;) Anyway ...was thinking about that ONE night away from home in a different bed and how little sleep I got and the sore back I woke up with despite a really comfy bed. I think about it cuz I got a four week vacation planned coming up and thinking ...hmmm, 4 weeks without proper sleep! Not gonna let that stop me though lol ...eventually I'll get tired enough to sleep right???? Lanie
