SYSmark 2007 Results
SYSsmark 2007 attempts to simulate real life workloads during its run. The benchmark consists of four workloads based around E-Learning, Video Creation, Productivity and 3D content creation.

Curiously, the QX9770 running on an X48 motherboard outperforms the eight cores on Skulltrail in this test. Skulltrail does eke out a narrow win on the 3D content creation, which isn't entirely unexpected. As it turns out, in many applications, memory bandwidth is a better performance indicator than the number of cores, particularly when applications aren't robustly multithreaded. This also suggests that heavy multitasking scenarios see limited benefit beyond four cores, while faster memory helps more. Continued...
