I had my surgery today and so far so good.
For those who don't know I tore my rotator cuff back in July.
Today I had an arthroscopic procedure to sew up the tear, insert an anchor, and reattach the bicep.
Doc said the tear in the labrum was not as bad as the MRI showed, but the tear in the cuff was worse than expected.
So now I'm resting somewhat comfortably with percocet and this nifty cold water circulating device wrapped around my shoulder.
Thank you Nancy for being my helper today so my wife could tend to the kids and make the day as normal as possible for them (and her).
Days like this remind me of what a wonderful family I have. They are doing everything they can to make me comfortable.
A long rehab is ahead of me but with the family and friends I am fortunate to have, it will be a breeze.
