Took my 17 y/o daughter to ER....severe right side pain with chest pain and not able to breathe. They did an EKG & had them stand by for a cardiac alert as she hunted a Dr. She's had previous pericardial effusions due to her auto immune disease. They decided the EKG was ok & sent her to the waiting room...called her back pretty quick to evaluate her. Dr. says ultrasound and I will get you pain meds...she was crying. Test was done & nurse wouldn't give her pain meds that the Dr. ordered...sent her to the waiting room. She cried for 3 1/2 hours while they ran tests...sitting in the waiting room...ultrasound showed gallbladder issues! We got up and left...she is medicated and resting now, thanks to mom! I work for the hospital...should I complain? I'm takin her to the Children's hospital that knows her!
