I met this Filipina lady at the Philippine airport bound for the U.S. She was feeling a bit nervous, and approached me. I kind of walked her over the procedure at the airports, immigration, etc. and we started talking for several hours. Very nice and helped me through a problem. She said she's going to meet her fiance in Colorado and gave me her address. She also said she has no relatives in the U.S. So I gave her my business card and phone number just in case there's an issue, that if anything happens and she needed help that I will drive up to that place and find her.
When I came back to the U.S. I sent her a card saying thank you. She hasn't cashed the check I gave her and she has not responded to my letter. So I am a bit worried, as I know she's the type who will respond back.
So I'm thinking of writing her again with SASE envelope enclosed. And ask her to send me a response and if she is okay. If I get a response that everything is okay, then I will leave her alone.
Do you think I should go ahead? and if I went ahead and still not get any response, should I drive up and check up on her. |
