For so long now i've felt empty inside
Watching my life pass me by like some sad movie
Each day i open my eyes, my heart filled with hope
That this will be the day love finally finds me
I've looked into so many eyes, searching.....hoping
Only to be denied once again
And as the days go by
I grow weary of looking
My eyes rarely meet anyone's anymore
For fear of rejection yet again
If i found love now, i'm not sure i'd trust it
I hope i would
Not sure i'd even recognize it
No man that has ever touched me has loved me
But my heart and mind still dream of the day
A man will lift my head
Look into my eyes
And love me
