You can only expect so much from someone wither it be your child or parent. But the only thing that you can do is say I love you and go on. For they will be there when you need them.
But when it comes time for God to take them home, you need to be there for them. Atleast to say I love you.
I never got the chance to say I love you to my father when he passed away 26 years ago. I wish that I could have been there for him to tell him that. I have lived these 26 years regretting that I did not get to tell him. Anyone can say that he knew that I loved him but that does not help what is inside of me.
I fought with him but he was my best friend in whole wide world and I miss him very much. There is a big whole in my heart that belongs to him. I wish that I could tell you everything that happened on the day that he died but that only brings back the tears in full force for me.
So please anyone that has lost a loved one or is about too please tell them that you love them from the bottom of your heart.
They will be watching over you and trying to keep you safe even when you least suspect it.
