Happy Weekend My Friend!
Hope all is well on your
side of the screen today.
Me? I'm just a glowing ...
Oh, wait ... it's my WORDS
that happen to be glowing,
I'm just G R O W I N G !
(out of idea's for blogs)
So I resorted to just making
this all flashy in attempts to
distract you from my lack of
substance and useful meaning.
Other words, I've got writers block!
So I guess I'll get out of writing ...
And hopefully get YOU writing
and reply to my ...
What's the 1st lesson that mom taught you
That you can remember at least?
Meaning the one life's lesson ...
From your youth that you smacked
yourself upside the head and thought:
"Mom told me about that"
In honor of moms everywhere - They most generally
are a child's first teacher, mentor and disciplinarian.
I remember so many little things up to large &
painful thingsthat happen in my life happening ...
That probably could of been avoided if I would of
listened to my mothers advice. Those little stories
or fables that she tell - with a moral to each ...
Things like:
"Treat people as you like to be treated"
"Be careful of who gives you advice
what might be their motive behind it"
I'd listen but not take the 'lesson' preached to heart,
But obviously entertained by them to remember.
So day, months - years - decades even later ...
I'll find myself in a predicament and hear
her little voice warning me of the possible
dangers that could be avoided if you paid attention.
These days I'll watch her tell my youngest
or have a flash back when I hear her warning
my granddaughter of something.
It just reminds me how wise our elders are
and the way they direct a story and mention
a tale that has a deep meaning.
I hope that those youngsters she tells today
listens better than I did in my youth.
So any words of your mothers wisdom you want to share?
Today's comment was a remake
I added some FX effects from Slide.com
Probably the 5th or 6th way
I used my original graphic differently.
If you ever come across site I might
enjoy - please share ... I like to give
different looks each day - and my
sites are starting to get stale.
So I leave you with my stale old greeting
and best wishes for an enjoyable holiday weekend!
