I've come to the conclusion that I hate alcohol for many reasons. I know that hate is a strong word but I really truely hate it...here is 25 reasons why...
1) I hate how everything has to revolve around drinking.
2) I hate listening to people talk about how drunk they need to be to deal with life.
3) I hate that people who do not drink get labeled as "a person who has no fun in their life."
4) I hate that in order for people to feel there is a connection we need to drink to share a bond/be part of a group.
5) I hate that people in my age range who don't drink at all/ or a lot to get drunk are a minority
6) I hate drunk drivers and alcoholism
7) I hate the fact that governments think that alcohol is fine, but smoking and taking drugs is bad… When its been proven over and over again, there are more alcohol related deaths than deaths of all types of drugs combined, and also more than smoking.
8) I hate how there is an alcohol related death every 30 minutes
9) I hate alcohol and how it takes over people's lives.
10) I hate when people are drunk and how they act.
11) I hate the stupid adults that let their kids see them act like drunken fools only for their children to repeat the cycle.
12) Alcohol destroys families and I hate that it seems like I'm the only person in the world who thinks this
13) I hate alcohol….because I think it does nothing for anyone but make life worse even though it is fun at the moment.
14) I hate how I'm like the only one in my 20s who acts and thinks this way
15) I hate how people cannot have a party without it revolving around alcohol and drinking games to have a good time…I guess maybe you have to wait until your older to have a more mature party like that
16) I hate how people feel they can't have a good time without alcohol in their lives
17) I hate how people's definition of a good time is putting a toxin in their body to trick their mind into feeling happy because that is the only way they know how.
18) I hate how it smells and tastes
19) I hate all alcohol related games... it is just a quick way for friends to encourage each other to get drunk
20) I hate how people think they are real friends encouraging someone to drink more and calling them a pussy if they don't
21) I hate how guys feel they need to prove how manly they are by being able to hold their liquor
22) I hate how some people pretend they are actually drinking a lot around friends instead of saying I've had enough tonight
23) I hate how some people can't say no and give in to peer pressure and end up with alcohol poisoning.
24) I hate all drinking games like beer pong, flippy cup, and card games where you are ordered by others to drink…with rules that are made up to get you drunk as quick as possible....that is what I call being a true friend...hopefully you are sober enough to drive them to the hospital
25) I hate how when you don't drink everyone asks you why you are not drinking like it is so abnormal
By the way these are by no means directed towards anyone I just needed to vent my frustration. I do not expect everyone to think the way I think about this. And I know that not everyone who drinks abuses it and that some people know their limits. I just needed somewhere to voice this because it has been bugging me for sometime.
