I am the proud Mom of a beautiful 18 year old daughter who is the centre of my life. I live by the rule- "Treat others like you would like to be treated." Turning the big 50 was a real eye-opener for me. I learned the hard way that, unfortunately, you can't trust people immediately, they have to earn trust. After being taken advantage of because I reached out to help someone, I discovered that some people are genuinely twisted in their way of thinking. From here on in, I'll be more careful, because the shock and pain it caused me is something I'll never forget. I'll still help someone but will be sure they are genuinely in need of assistance, and not have any hidden motives.
