I am a 48 year old Paraplegic, paralized from the chest down (nipple level), both legs amputated. I have been disbaled since I was 20. in 85 (i think) i threw everything i owned in the back of my truck and rolled out to Cali only knowing 2 people (who i would stay with for a short while) When i got there i picked up the want ads right away and learned fast that guitar players were a dime a dozen out there, so i switched to Bass so i could quickly get into a band..Sideshow , my first band was located in Orange California..we rehearsed for what seemed like forever and finally got a few shows at the Troubador..funny thing about the troubadore, you have to buy and sell your own tickets..they do not pay a penny to bands, but with over a 1000 bands chasing the dream, it was a real easy scam to pull off on us..we played a handful of shows around Hollywood (Troub, Gazzarris, Rainbow, Whisky) all of which were pay to play..i soon learned all these magical places i read about in Creem magazine, were just like the same dives i played in AZ with the same sticky beer and puke mix on the floor, but it was Hollywood, and i felt like
