Well, for starters I just moved to Las Cruces from California not to long ago. Mostly to get out of a state with a horrible economy and a bunch of yuppie ass hats who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. Anyway, aside from that I'm currently just kickin back looking for a job. Don't really care what it is at this point, anything is better than nothing and I like to learn new things. So something different than the other jobs I've had the past few years would be awesome. Usually I like to go out a lot and kick it at the bar, have a few drinks and meet some cool people (no matter how drunk either of us might be, even if we don't remember one another in the morning at least we'll share some laughs). When I'm not out and about, I kick it at home watching movies, listening to music, gaming, reading, or just tinkering with computers. If it's fun, I do it. Simple. I'll try most anything once. I am 70 and have been married for 47 years. I am happy with my life. We traveled full time in a motor home for 10 years and enjoyed every minuet of it. Last week, while traveling to Chicago on business, I noticed a Marine sergeant traveling with a folded flag, but did not put two and two together.. After we boarded our flight, I turned to the sergeant, who'd been invited to sit in First Class (across from me), and inquired if he was heading home. No, he responded. Heading out I asked? No. I'm escorting a soldier home. Going to pick him up? No. He is with me right now. He was killed in Iraq , I'm taking him home to his family. The realization of what he had been asked to do hit me like a punch to the gut. It was an honor for him. He told me that, although he didn't know the soldier, he had delivered the news of his passing to the soldier's family and felt as if he knew them after many conversations in so few days.
