No, this is not a post about Grady Little. Tony La Russa was found at a traffic light, asleep at the wheel, last night. He was charged with misdemeanor DUI. Now, for a public service announcement: hire a car, get a cab, have a friend, hell, pass out on the floor wherever you are. There is no excuse for a DUI. None. Look, I drink as much as the next guy. OK, more. I have also been able to put myself in a position to have a ride or to stay where I am when I am drinking and I haven't got the resources that a guy like La Russa has. Apple-ham Grilled Cheese
INGREDIENTS * 1 cup chopped tart apples * 1/3 cup mayonnaise * 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts * 8 slices process American cheese * 8 slices sourdough bread * 4 slices fully cooked ham * 1/4 cup butter, softened SERVINGS 4 CATEGORY Main Dish METHOD Other stovetop PREP 10 min. COOK 10 min. TOTAL 20 min. DIRECTIONS Combine apples, mayonnaise and walnuts. Place a slice of cheese on four slices of bread. Layer each with 1/3 cup of the apple mixture, a slice of ham and another slice of cheese; cover with remaining bread. Butter the outsides of the sandwiches. The combination of savory pork, sweet onions, sharp cheddar and refreshing cilantro is just irresistible. Credit: Nancy's Cookbooks Inc. Biopsy Results.
The results are in... (warning.. icky feminine stuff below) I dont have cancer (yet). We may have caught it early enough, but my family history(uterine cancer) is definately catching up to me quick. My Doctor is refering me to an oncologist and a surgan. I'll probably be having surgery to remove the polyps and surrounding tissue. From there, more biopsys. Or, I could opt to have a total hysterectomy. I'll know more once I meet with the specialists. It really is going to be up to me and what I want. Do I just go for the hysterectomy and be done like my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother did? Or do I have the cells removed and end up having to go back for rechecks and more D&C's like my sister has been doing for the last three years? I have had problems with CherryTap freezing up; shoutbox malfunctions, messages that seem to repeat themselves. I give people 11's only to find the next day I never rated their profile - ? I know I need more Ram for my puter and that is in the works. This takes money which is marked for vacation. I will take care of my PC more in June. My Son Received His Pre-orders
Well here we go again.....My son received his pre-orders for deployment this last weekend. According to the pre-order the guys have been instructed to get all of their affairs in order, so that they can ship out sometime in June or July. I have already been through this once. Yesterday I went to the range for what should be my last annual qualification with an M16/M4. Out of forty shots, I got... 39. Seems to me that qualifies as Expert, but it feels kind of trivial, considering that I'll be leaving the Army as soon as this deployment's done with. Well I have enjoyed myself today. I did my yard sale today and made $41.00 total. I was so happy but I'm also sending ten dollars in on a bill :) My little brother bought stakes and brought them down and we grilled out. I had steak baked potato salad sweet tea and a brownie. Loneliness
So many things have been going on in my life as of late. I can't seem to shake this feeling of loneliness from my shoulders. I have no friends to really speak about. I FINALLY received the court order from the child support modification hearing that was held back on March 29th,2007.I am getting a little more than double what I was originally getting to start with!!!!!!!!!!!! Now just hours later she had been aneasatised, had x-rays and surgery cause the cut severed all the tendons in her leg and all the nerves, which cannot be fixed, and theres a possibility that her leg may get amputated if she doesn't adapt to it or if it doesnt heal well. Now some people might say its just a cat and blah blah blah, but she's not, she's a friend, a part of the family and may never be the same again. Where The Hell Have I Been?
Sorry I haven't been around in 12 days. I was admitted to the hospital with an asthma Attack but I am home now and feling better. Army Wife Blues.
I know that I have not put in a blog yet but I dont like to babble on about nothing. But here is a vent... My husband joined the Army shortly after we got married and now we are still in the States as he traines to go over to Iraq. He is gone for a wekk at a time and I know that they are doing this to get the guys and the wives ready for the sepertaion but it still sucks. He got his orders that he is leaving in Dec which means he will at least be able to see our child born in Aug. But then he will be gone for 15 months. The waiting is unreal. I know that he is not gone yet but at times I feel like he is. I can feel him wanting to pull away from me in a way so that maybe I will miss him less. I am so scared that when he leaves I will never see him again. I cry myself to sleep sometimes becasue I can't seem to get the thoughts out of my head. I know that they are training him to do things that he will never talk to me about but I wish he could in some way.

The Long Journey
Be forwarned, this is long. I am the mother of an autistic son, Luke. When Luke was very young I always felt blessed because my baby was so well behaved...he almost never cried, he played quietly, and was never any problem at all. The terrible two's came and I, once again, felt blessed because there really wasn't anything terrible about them. It was at this time, though, that I began to notice differences in Luke. He was not progressing as he should. There had to have been some sort of denial prior to me noticing these differences...because I know that he was banging his head and rocking violently from at least 11 months or so. Anyway, Luke’s grandfather approached me one day very cautiously...I think he knew how defensive parents can be about their children. It took him a while, but eventually he got to the point...'we think that something is wrong with Luke.' He explained that he had been researching some of Luke's symptoms and that he believed Luke may be autistic. S

Well if you read the last blog, you know what I went through with my mom the past week and a half. Well, on top of all that, I had other issues to deal with. My son, He will be 18 in June and He is out of controll. My husband came on home Sunday to find that someone had broken a window to get into our bedroom (I have to keep my bedroom locked at all times to keep things from getting stolen) They took about $450 in coins and a Nintendo Wii. We suspected my son but there was no proof. Well, Thrusday he decided to steal my husbands truck and go joy riding. He has no drivers licences and was high. He got pulled and searched and they found pot and a crack stem (whatever that is) on him and got him for drugs but not for stealing the truck. The police officer told us we would have to get a warrent for him for unlawful possition of a moter vehicle. After I got home this Sunday everything hit me all at once. How utterly pointless are competitions on this site? If you have a tattoo contest or a beauty one or whatever it is, it is not down to the person who has the best tattoo/llooks/whatever, it is merely down to the person who has the most friends who will bomb the comments for them to win. The passing of my father......... It was very hard for me I must say. He passed away in his sleep during the night. My mother went in to wake him and noticed he was cold. For the last 5 years he was in ill health. Had a bad heart and diabetic besides. I remember talking to him on the phone the day before and him telling me ..."I don't know"..think he knew his time was nearing. I had no grieving time with his death really. Their was no funeral just his cremation. And feeling so helpless because I was 31 miles away with no car. I didn't have the chance to say goodbye to him. Superficial Stuff
Don't get me wrong, I'm not one to care much about how other people look.. But I did this to myself feel better the other day. My husband (This was when we were going to split up)was going to move to be in a poly relationship with a guy and two women. That fell through (I'll post a bigger story on it later).
