Updating My Life's Story
Just a snippet of information on my present situation. I have been living with my sister for six months now and I can honestly say that it has been a worthwhile experience. The original premise for moving in with her was so that we could support each other during our own little pitfalls; she suffers from depression and recently attempted suicide, myself I was recently diagnosed with a second cancer in addition to another operative cancer I was already dealing with. We get along so well, which suprises me, since we had not really seen each other for a number of years. We lived four hours apart and never really made a strong attempt to see one another. Sad. Anyway, she is seeing a therapist and is at least stable. She amazes me. No matter how down she gets, she throws her concentration to me if I am having any down time myself. Vacation 8/4-8/12
Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be offline from Saturday 8/4 through Sunday 8/12. Now, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, "Gee, Tanya, last time you said that, you were online all the time!" Well, this time I'm reasonably positive about it. While last time I planned to be offline more to avoid ignoring my friends and relatives, this time I will be offline due to no internet connection. I cannot imagine anyone in the vacation home area of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, has invested in both an internet connection and an unsecured wireless connection and would thus happily allow me to connect. And there are no trendy coffee shops with wireless in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, thank you very much. They can't even manage a decent bowling alley. For those that are curious, I will be spending a wonderful, relaxing week with my family. We stay in vacation homes on the lakes. We read a lot, swim, boat, water ski, fish, and generally relax and enjoy ourselves for the week.

Weekend Getaway, Part 3

Another Free Lunch? Or Supper Anyway
Yet another free dinner in Vegas... Many casinos, especially the locals casinos will bribe you to cash your pay check at their cashier. I have my pay divided into several parts, the 401K and other deductions, a direct deposit and between $100 and $200 just to take into a casino on pay day. I went to Fiesta Henderson. Cashed my check and because I have a player's club card I just a free spin on the electronic wheel. Gott free club points. Got a lot of free club points even. Took my players card over to the buffet and had a free dinner. Fiesta Henderson isn't my favorite casino but its a lot better then the Fiesta Rancho. Too many old people but I don't feel like I'l get mugge in the parking lot.

In a way I never imagined possible I opened myself up to her. She took me for all that I am, and showed me more then I ever knew was possible. Forgive me as a readjust to modern society again over the next several days. At Pennsic, people are very blunt about compliments and flirtation. Modern social morés see these as pickups. Friday Night..
Went to hoops with some friends and got super drunk. Kim picked me up so I didnt have to drive. We drank many pitchers.. a few shots and a couple bottles of beer.. Today Aug 14, 2007 is my son's birthday. My baby is a man. A very good man. He has a new wife(old girlfriend) they have 3 kids,a house and mortgage, a dog, a camper on a lake for getaways,4 wheelers to get into serious fun, and the whole future ahead of him. It's Been Going Well. It's A Nice Change.
Wow. Things have been getting better. It's inexplicable. So very unexpected. But I welcome a small retreat to normalcy, or as close as I ever get to it... Computer Program
I've been doing a web search for a certain computer program for my 15 yr old son. He wants a program where he can take car and truck body styles, chaises and tires and create his own that he can paint and add decals. You know I get a lot of friggin whiney-assed moaning and bitching about my gun pics! I even had a bouncer rate my default pic NSFW once and a friend of mine switched it right back. What the hell is the problem here? This site allows to to see peoples' interests ahead of time and you damn well aren't required to rate/comment pics if you don't want to! If you don't like guns then don't look at them! Damn sure don't ever pick one up because if you don't treat them with care and respect they won't serve you when you need them. Funny cat story: I've owned cats for 25 years now. The other morning while taking care of my morning wakeup duties (ie whizzing) Silver (who is the kitten I'm holding in my profile pic) came flying into the bathroom and leaped into the toilet bowl! Since I was in the middle of peeing, it was hard to shut off and he was in the bowl! Yeah I peed on him!!! I recently met what I thought was a nice person. We had what seemed to be many common interests. We began talking on yahoo i/m but then BAM ! I mean, it was instantaneous friendship for a week or so then one day with no warning....I was falsley accused of checking her site and spying on her ? A Wonderful Ride!
I had a great chance Saturday 10/6/07 to ride on a motorcycle with a wonderful man who like myself supports all that our troops do for this country and helps out out homeless veterans....if it were up to me there would be NO homeless vets! These guys put their life on the line for people they don't even know and we treat them as if they were second class citizens when they come back from war. Everyone is entitled to their opinion so here is mine....the fact that so many treat our soldiers like that is a disgrace! Everyone who knows me knows that I would go to the ends of the earth for a veteran! When there was a threat that the Vietnam Memorial in DC was in danger of being harmed by protestors...I was there! Surgery...

Feeling Trapped.....
I feel so damned trapped anymore. I don't love my husband. I haven't for a long time. I figured that out while I was still pregnant for our daughter and he was like " i want a paternity test". This Past Weekend Oct 19 To 21
Got a room right here at home but got a Parlor Suite at Executive Inn from Friday about 5pm till today Sunday at 12pm. Had a big whirlpool tub to fit 2 or 3 & a guest room with 2 chairs, tv & couch. How We Interact
In a flash everything changes, that which you though you knew changes. In my own humble assessment I believe there is a certain hierarchy to human relationships. It goes something like this. Familiarity, Desired, Wanted, Needed. This may be confusing to some so I’ll break it down a bit. Familiarity- Something that you gain after talking to someone, coming to a certain comfort level with them. Desired- What you gain in the next step, someone prefers to spend time with you rather than others. Wanted- What happens when someone actively seeks you out for whatever reason. Another real 'rock star' night on the road for me in good ol' Muskogee, Oklahoma - first of all, you know it's bad when the hotel has you staying in a Motel 6. Tee Time
I have a 8 am Tee time with an associate this morning. He and I like to swing at (and sometimes hit) the ball at least once a month. We are terrible... but it is fun. Disappointment
So I have realized again today that no matter how badly you want something to go smoothly it never does. People will repeatedly disappoint you and there is really nothing that can be done about it unless you wish to give up on it all. Why is it that people have to make up lame excuses, it doesn't matter what it is because it all leads to the same thing in the end, one person ends up feeling badly because they put faith into someone else and were let down. I'm not saying that I was hurt but this, more pissed off then anything, but I would like just once for someone to prove me wrong. I don't expect anything out of people, therefore I don't have to be let down in the end when someone tries to screw me over. Japanese Whale & Dolphin Hunt
The Japanese have begun their annual whale hunt which will last thru April 2008. They plan to kill over 400 protected humpback whales and thousands more minke whales during this time period under the guise of scientific research which is total bullshit. Earlier this year they killed over 20,000 dolphins by rounding them up into a cove, then sending divers to stab them to death. They harpoon the whales then drag them for hours until they bleed to death. This tragedy has got to stop!!! Dolphins are the second most intelligent creature on earth besides humans and are known to protect humans from sharks by surrounding them. Whales are also wonderful, peaceful mammals with high intelligence and should not be killed for any reason. Problems are caused when there is an incongruence between perception and reality. Competing contrast within yourself and your personalities causes increased misjudged perception. I Got Bad News From The Dr Friday
as most women know who have either had kids or do their yearly exams, they run a bunch of tests and what not to check for any thing that could possibly be wrong. well i got the results back from my ob/gyn friday and the test was alarming, showing changes in cells that were taken during the exam. there is a possibility that it could be cervical cancer, or something else. im scared to death to find out the results, and they sent me the letter on a day that the office wasnt open, and on a weekend no less, so now i have to play the waiting game and find out whats happening. so far everyone i know is turning their backs on me now that ive told them the news, so i have no support system at all. i'll update when i can, but i have to go for now i dont want my crying to wake up my 2 kids.

Today And Stuff
Today I got ready for tomorrow night's events. Hubby's work is having their winter ball....basically a Christmas party. An excuse to dress up like you're going to a prom, too. Which is fun for a change. I got a manicure and pedicure today, which is something I normally never do. My son got in trouble twice at school today that resulted in two phone calls home, one referral, and one detention. I am not pleased with him at the moment. I need a night out...tomorrow should be fun. Tonight we made a trip to Edwards and hubby got a cigar..I also got some small cigars called Acid Cigars which smell exactly like Edge City in Five Points...if you've been there, you know the smell I speak of. Not quite incense, but a mix of cloth, leather, and incense...that's a good way to describe it. Still having fun on here-checking out some of the lounges tonight.

RECIPE INGREDIENTS: 2 egg whites, at room temperature 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup sugar Red colored sugar 1. Heat the oven to 200° F. With an electric mixer, beat the egg whites until soft peaks start to form. Beating all the while, add the cream of tartar and vanilla extract, then slowly add the 1/2 cup of sugar. Continue to beat until the peaks stiffen. 2. Spoon the meringue into a quart-size plastic bag. Snip off a corner and pipe 2 dozen 1 1/2-inch-tall Santa hat triangles onto a parchment-lined baking sheet (you should have about 1/4 of the meringue left). 3. Sprinkle the triangles with the red sugar, then use the remaining meringue to give each one a pom-pom and trim. Bake the hats until they're hard but not browned, about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Turn off the oven and leave the hats in it for an hour to crisp before removing.

Hump Day Blues
Yeah this hasn't been a good week for me so far. It all started this past weekend. My son has been sick with a cold, and Saturday he developed a viral infection in his hip. I know that now, but at the time I didn't know what was wrong. So after a trip to the ER, they weren't sure what was wrong so we scheduled an appointment with his pediatrician. She got worried that he might have a bacterial infection, i.e. staph infection, and wanted us to see a specialist, so we had to drive about 60 miles to go see the specialist. So after all of this, we found out he has a viral infection, it should pass on its own, and we shouldn't worry. But keep an eye on him. Which leads us to today. He started throwing up this morning. I'm stuck here at school instead of being able to be home with him, and I'm worried to death. Cheese and Chicken Enchiladas 1 small onion, chopped 1 1/2 cups cooked shredded chicken breast meat 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided use 1 (16-ounce) jar ORTEGA Salsa - Homestyle Recipe, divided use 1/2 of an 8-ounce package cream cheese 8 (7 or 8-incj) soft taco-size flour tortillas 1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Spray large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Add onion; cook over medium-high heat for 4 to 5 minutes or until tender. Add chicken, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, 3/4 cup salsa and cream cheese. Heat and stir for 2 to 3 minutes or until cheeses are melted. 2. Spoon a scant 1/3 cup chicken mixture down center of each tortilla; roll up. Place in 13 x 9-inch (3-quart rectangular) baking dish; drizzle with remaining salsa. 2 cups prepared mashed potatoes 1 (1.25-ounce) package ORTEGA® Taco Seasoning Mix, divided use 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 pound ground chicken or turkey 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 small red bell pepper, seeded and chopped 1 (16-ounce) can ORTEGA® Refried Beans 1/2 cup ORTEGA Salsa - Homestyle Recipe (Mild) 1/4 cup water 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 13x9x2-inch ovenproof baking dish. 2. Combine potatoes and 2 tablespoons seasoning mix in medium bowl; spoon into prepared pie plate to form crust. Heat oil in medium skillet; add chicken, onion and bell pepper. Cook until chicken is cooked through and no longer pink. Stir in beans, salsa, water and remaining seasoning mix; cook until heated through. Pour into potato crust. 3. Bake for 30 minutes; top with lettuce, cheese and olives, if desired. Makes 6 servings.

Christmas
This holiday was not as bad as I thought it would be. My roomie did not go away, instead her Grandma came here. She is a very nice lady and nice to have around. We had a big dinner last night with my son, his wife and my ex-hubby. So we had 8 people in our little house... LOL It was very nice though. Not much fussing or anything. Today was more or less a lazy day. The boys got there presents this morning, Heather got hers, Grandma got her and I even got a present from Heather. This turned out to be a very nice time, the only way it would have been better is IF a certain guy was around. Hopefully I will get to spend some time with him soon. I miss him alot! I hope everyone had a great time and hope we have a great New year coming up!! HUGGG to you all!

Fear
Some people say life isnt something to fear, only death is. For me death isnt something I worry too much about. Its what leading up to death that I fear. Life is the hard part, learning to accept what is, fixing what you can and praying you just make it.
