Memories Of Childhood

Pain Of Losing My Child
In March of 1997, I was pregnant with twins and one twin was pushed against my spine cause the other one absorbed in my uterus but the amniotic sack didn't. They never realized it until it was too late to do anything about it. Piercing Update And Other News

Ok, so things have taken a right angle turn since my blog entry earlier anbout moving on. I decided I'd go and try meditation. I've tried it in the past with mixed results, but today for some reason it seemed really appropriate. So I turned everything off, stripped naked (don't ask me why, it just felt right for some reason) and sat in the center of my bed with my legs crossed and arms draped outstretched across my knees. I go to a College of Technology, and well, there are certain rules that are to be adhered to. Two major ones I see as something EVERY student should understand and follow are: 1) Professional Dress. This is a school preparring students for the business world. Business casual should be the standard. No hats, sandals, skater shoes, thug wear... it's crap. It's in a business environment, dress the part fuckers! 2) Turn OFF YOUR GOD DAMNED CELL PHONES IN CLASS. It's rude, and if I were your boss and your phone interrupted me in a meeting, your ass would be toast! Are two simple things like that so hard?

Can't complain about the weekend one bit. It was the clam I needed after a tense week at KSEX. So, today was my day to shop for Thanksgiving dinner, I had money set aside for the occasion, all nestled away in the zipper pouch of my purse. Every six months or so my team is asked to brief the soldiers we serve on the programs that are in our charge. For the most part, it is pretty routine. We get up there and talk about the tests that have been run and the results that we have been seeing and what our expectations are for the next six months. Seared Fingers Of Striped Bass
INGREDIENTS * 3 teaspoons olive oil * 1-1/2 teaspoons ground coriander * 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin * 2 garlic cloves, crushed * Pinch of crushed red pepper * Zest and juice of 1/2 lemon * 1 pound striped bass or tilapia fillets, cut into 8 strips * Salt and freshly ground black pepper * 1 teaspoon unsalted butter (optional) METHOD Combine 1 teaspoon of the olive oil, the coriander, cumin, garlic, red pepper, and lemon zest. Coat the fish with this mixture; marinate, refrigerated, 45 minutes. Scrape excess marinade from the fillets; season with salt and pepper. Heat a nonstick skillet over high heat. Add the remaining 2 teaspoons olive oil (it should shimmer, but not smoke). Add the fish to the pan skin side up. Add the butter (if using) to aid in browning. Sear the fillets without moving them, until browned, about 2 minutes. Turn; cook until done, about 1 minute more. Remove from heat; splash in the lemon juice.Serves: 4 as a l

Baby Clams & Shrimp In A Coconut-curry Brodetto
INGREDIENTS * 1 tablespoon olive oil * 1 small shallot, minced * 2 cloves garlic, minced * 1 (15-ounce) can coconut milk * 2 cups bottled clam juice * Juice of 1 lime * 1 tablespoon Madras curry powder * Salt and freshly ground black pepper * 2 pounds baby clams in the shell * 1 pound large shrimp (21 to 30 per pound), peeled and deveined, tails on * 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved * 1 small bunch cilantro, stemmed and coarsely chopped METHOD In a large cast-iron skillet, heat he olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the shallot and garlic and saute for about 5 minutes, or until golden brown. Add the coconut milk, clam juice, and lime juice, stirring to combine thoroughly. Heat until bubble and thick, about 10 minutes, then add the curry powder and season with salt and pepper. Add the clams. When they begin to open, about 2 to 3 minutes, add the shrimp. I think it's a break down on everyone's part. People pointing fingers at the parents. Parents pointing fingers at the system. The Stranger
It was a very hot and sweaty day as I sit on the rocks with the waves crashing around me. What a beautiful site to add to my art collection. The waves, the blue water, and the miles of rocks that I can see from where I set. It seemed like hours had passed since I started my drawing, and I needed a break. Fire In My Hometwown.
Hi People, Thursday 27-12-2006 at 04.00am there was a fire in the center of my hometown. A kebabrestaurant, a cafe and a real dutch coffeeshop went up in flames. Luckely no one was injured but 19 people became homeless. The local goverment took care and the well have a new place to live in a few weeks. I heard the sirenes off the firebrigade, police and ambulances but had no idea what was going on. If I had known that one of hour local coffeeshops went up in flames I would have gone watch the fire cause I never smoked a spliff that big. Anyway I wnet today and I shot thoose pictures for ya. INGREDIENTS: * 8 chicken breast halves, skinned & boned * salt and pepper * 1 cup dry herb stuffing mix * 1 egg, beaten * 1 can cream of mushroom soup * 1/4 cup chopped green pepper * 1 tablespoon lemon juice * 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce * 1 teaspoon prepared mustard * 1/2 teaspoon salt * 1 can crabmeat, (6oz) picked over * 1/4 cup salad oil * 1/2 teaspoon onion powder * salt and pepper, to taste PREPARATION: Flatten chicken breasts, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix herb stuffing with egg, half or soup, green pepper, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and crabmeat. Spoon some of the mixture onto each chicken breast, roll, secure with toothpicks. Saute breasts in butter. Arrange in a greased baking dish; bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. I finally got a new job! I moved home a little over a year ago and I started looking for work as soon as I got here. I worked for a couple weeks selling scrubs at a store near the hospital, but that place sucked! As of monday I will be employed full time as an admin. assistant at Imperial Supply in Huntsvegas! On The Road Again With Ozzfest 2007

Life In General Is On Hold Til Tomo
Anyone else tired of working, sleeping, working, sleeping, cleaning, working, sleeping?? I know i am!! I need some darn excitement in my life!! It seems like i spend every moment of EVERY day doing for others and never doing for me...when is the me time?? I guess i really should'nt complain...i have it very good but there is always that lil something thats out of reach that we all want and need. That something that seems like it will never happen, arrive, become reality or whatever the case may be. Can you tell its been a long day?? I think i will take the longest hottest shower, curl up with a good book, a hot tea and just.... Talk you tomo my cherry peeps!! Going to say my nighttime prayer now... x0x0x0x

Imbolc Meditation Make yourself comfortable and relax. Breathe slowly and deeply. You are about to go on a sacred journey to Ireland. Close your eyes and let go of the there and now, you are traveling to a place in the Other World. Slowly, with your eyes still closed, become aware of what's around you. You are walking through a pristine white, snowy wood just before dawn. The dark nights are beginning to lessen now, so near to Imbolc. The stars are bright in the black sky and you are very cold and weary. You crunch through a snow crusted path, and notice the first buds of snowdrops and primrose pushing up through the snow along the way. Ahead, beyond the dark pines, you see a light, and hoping for the sanctuary of warmth, you pick up speed and travel toward it. I am just an old Hippy in some ways but I am also a veteran that left blood on the ground in the past. So I wanted to put to type my opinion on my country’s condition and positions in the war we find our selves. And make no mistake we are in the early stages of World War 3. This is a war that has been waged for 1500 years on and off . Now these words come from a atheist so it can’t be said I have a religious bend to my views. If we take 5% of the worlds Islamic population , and that’s the percentage that has been verified many times to having sworn to give their lives to kill all non Muslims and in some cases Muslims also, we have an enemy force larger than all the military we fought during WW1, WW2 and Viet Nam combined. Beautiful Weather The Last Two Days!
This has been the snowiest winter I've seen here on Fort Carson, Colorado in the 10 years that I've lived here. But the last two day it's been rather nice. Temps have reached up into the low 50s and that has allowed me and several of my fellow bikers to ride! I was the first though..I broke my bike out of the snow and ice three days ago, shoveled a path to our street and rode to work! It's still to cold to do any serious riding but it's so nice to be back on the bike. I have ridden year round since I got my bike, a 2003 Harley Davidson Softail, but this winter it's been too snowy to do much riding.

Tequila! A Mexican is strolling down the street in Mexico City and kicks a bottle lying in the street. Suddenly out of the bottle pops out a Genie. So I was just thinking... as I drive the same route almost every day, and every day I pass this restaraunt. It never seems to do very well, as a matter of fact it's changed names 3 times is the past 2 years. It doesn't matter what the name is, people are never gonna frequent there. I wonder what each owner is thinking when they decide to buy the place. I mean, who wants to eat in a building that's conjoined with a crematorium? Anyways, I was just thinking...
