i find it funny how friends say they are friend. But they are friend only when its convient for them. They want to talk and be a friend when they arent busy with somene else or that someone else is gone to bed or not on to talk to. I always thought being a friend ment always being there, Am I wrong?

Duke Needs Help
Alright I'm way out there on this one but I'm asking for help from anyone who can. My dog is 5 months old. He is a Jack Russell Terrier named Duke. Last weekend he got out and ran off. When he did finally come home he had broken his leg. Unfortunetly this is not a cheap fix. After a visit to his vet we found out it was broke between the hip and knee on the growth plate. The surgery to fix it requires a pin to be placed on the bone to help it heal right. The cost of this surgery is over $700. I live on a very limited income as I am the only means of support for my family right now. Normally I would never ask strangers....but this is for a good cause. I am working with a fundraising group called IMOM. They help pets in need to get surgery of other life threating illness funds. They do not pay for regular visits to the vet. Ahh I cant decide on a accent color for my new numbers. The background will be black, the numbers white, but the accent color I'm stumped on. Finals This Past Weekend
Well I turned in my psyche final Friday but haven't heard about my grade yet. The instructor has until Sunday but I'm not worried that she won't get it done in time. My other class, business law, has already been graded. I aced my final bringing my final grade to a B! Sunday was my last day of class until July which is when I will start on my Bachelor in Business Administration. I graduate from Western International University on July 6th in Phoenix so it's going to be one hell of a good time. It has taken me too long to decide on a career and then to finally get this far! I'm on cloud nine right now even if I feel shitty from this damn sinus infection lol!

Speaking for a large portion of the population here, at least the ones I know, it’s almost impossible to live within your means. Every time you get a yearly raise in pay, and feel good about it, it takes about three months for commerce to catch up and pass you once again. It’s almost ridiculous. Lessons And Tears
It's early morning, and I'm sitting here as I usually do, listening to the chickens, watching the shadows slip into sunlight in the wooded area outside my office window. Almost A Month Now!
It has been almost a month now since Jerry died. After two attempts of calling the VA and nothing happening on the insurance claim, a family member suggested filing on line and she would fax it to them. Daughter added me to their checking account for direct deposit, and three days later, the money was here. First call to the VA was on the 5th. Second call was on the 16th. The day I got the money--almost three weeks later--the claim forms I called for finally arrived in the mail. LOL!!! Step daughter is constantly inviting me to stay over her place, taking me shopping, paying bills, just hanging out, etc. I know her efforts is to keep me from becoming a shut in. Just not ready to do anything. Friends I met on line and are local are attempting the same thing. Cleaned out Jerrys clothes. When we met, there was no way I could fit into his jeans! So many roads, which one to choose. For the first time in my life I truly don’t know…. Yet to stand still is death of another kind, and moving too slowly my own private hell. Well at 10pm last night my dog went into labor. She had the second one an hour and a half after the first one. 12 hours later she still hadn't had the other ones so we took her to the vet. Chicken Fried Steak
TO PREPARE THE STEAK: Use 2 pound round steak, 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Ask butcher to tenderize or pound it thoroughly on both sides with meat-tenderizing mallet. Trim off fat. Cut into pieces 5 to 6 inches in diameter. Flour each piece thoroughly and shake off excess. Dip in Chicken Fried Steak Batter (see below for recipe), drain, then flour it again. Use deep fry pan half-filled with a good brand of vegetable oil. Preheat oil to 325 degrees. Cook meat 7 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. TO PREPARE CHICKEN FRIED STEAK BATTER: 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 2 eggs 1 tbsp. baking powder 1 c. milk Mix the first four ingredients with half the milk and stir until smooth. Jack wakes up with a huge hangover after attending his company Christmas Party. Jack is not normally a drinker, but the drinks didn't taste like alcohol at all. Why is that I can get hurt no matter what I am doing? So today I am helping my aunt vacuum out the truck I am vacuuming out the back floorboards and the middle seat belt is in the way (you the kind of belts that you adjust by moving the buckle? the ones that don't go back into the seat) ok so any ways I grab the belt and swing it up into the seat and when I do that the buckle hits me right in the forehead so now I have a big knot there. So fastforward to later tonight I decide my car needs vacuuming so on the way home I stop to vacuum my car and when I am done I slam the back door and the edge hits me right on my knot. I don't know how my head got in the way of a closing car door, I guess my head is bigger then I think...... I think?

IDIOT SIGHTING: Hubby and I had to have the garage door repaired. The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a "large" enough motor on the opener. I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower. He shook his head and said, "Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower." I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He said, "NO, it's not. Four is larger than two." So a while ago I heard his new theory about black holes. From what I knew about it, I thought it was bullshit. Since personally I hate the people who make their minds up about something with little information to go on, and even worse are the people who will argue with you when they don’t really know or understand the information. My intentions were to make sure I understood the information before calling it crap. To do that I had to understand not just the information, but the information that led up to it. I bought a couple of his books, A Briefer History of Time and Black Holes and Baby Universes. I tried to approach the information with an open mind. My Surgery!
Well I had emergency surgery on Saturday night to repair what they thought was a hernia. It ended up being a triple hernia which was strangulating my bowels and killing them painfully and slowly. i am an educator. Through my daily life i ger to talk to all sorts of troubled youth. I am lucky they seem to respond to me. This is due in part to the fact that came from auspicious beginnings myself. I am the product of a major housing projects and a life lived in poverty during my childhood, ain't too much better now, lol. As a child when asked what we wanted to due when we grew up, we usually responded with a career that would bring us good income and that was legal. We had dreams, hope, and faith in the future and what we could do. I ask so many of my students what it is they want to do with their lives, and so many not only say i don't know, they have never even given it any consideration. They have no clue it seems about possible options and careers. My Ex Husband
i cant believe that my ex husband came and got my daughter this weekend. im glad he did cause she loves him so much. and i know that they had fun too. they went and bought her some new clothes and shoes for school. which is good cause i couldnt afford it really i did get her some clothes and a couple of shoes though. but the other thing that amazes me it that he keep her till after 6:00pm yesterday and he always want to bring her home early. and then he stay over here for at least a hour and chatted with me and my brother. well im just glad that they got to spend some time together cause lord knows when he will come back and get her again.

I Feel Like The Biggest Idiot In The World
So I recently (this week) started a new job and I closed tonight (at midnight) when about 10 minutes before I'm ready to close I get a phone call from I assume my boss (sounded like him and he said it was) asking me to wait about 10-15 for him to come by because he had to pick one of his tools up. So like any good employee I did. Then about 10 minutes later I get a call from someone who wasn't my boss (I think it was his cousin [who happens to be someone I've been told not to trust on numerous occasions]) asking me to put a box of tools on the roof (see where I'm going with this). After I did that the handyman comes in asking for my boss. He waits around with me until almost 12:40 (a full forty minutes after I am supposed to have gone) Finally I relay the two phone conversations to him and we come to the conclusion that I was duped by the cousin. Carzy Week Or So
The past few days have been hell. Last week I got T-boned by a man shooting out of a parking lot. I'm ok but I couldn't get my car into a body shop until this past Monday. Fall Off The Earth
Just wanted to let everyone know that if I suddenly seem to have fallen off the face of the earth, not to panic, I haven't....or at least I hope not :) This semester I am taking College writing,Intro to Sociology, and Intro. to Human Services. Weakness For Animals
Thai people really love animals. This is "Moo Ping". It means BBQ'd pork on a stick. Don't know who named her that. This 7-11 was built in my neighborhood about 6 months ago and Moo Ping has been in front of the door from day one. She's there in the daytime to get the blast of air conditioning when people walk in and out of the automatic doors. She's there at night to give you sad looks so you'll buy her something to eat. (usually works) The thing is, is she's there, 24/7 just like 7-11. We Thais think it's normal, but my BF thinks it's hilarious that no one tries to move her from in front of the door. Yesterday at work, I saw that an elderly woman needed assisance! She was trying to wheel out a full shopping cart of grocery to her cab that was waiting! I was on my break anyway so I decided to help her load her belongings! Grateful, she reached into her purse and attempted to give me a tip! Bethany Beach
Well folks, we had a great time. Spent 4 days in Bethany at the National Guard Training Site. Compliments of the the US ARMY. Thank You. We had a trailer to ourselves. We had a couple of socials with the bosses they were great. We played poker, horseshoes, drank like fishes and had a great time. It was a bit different partying with the Colonel. He was actually very cool. We spent a few hours on the beach, I love the beach! Walked the boardwalk, drove to Ocean city did the boardwalk, and we ate at Phillips the all you can eat seafood place. Its great! On the way home we stopped at Dover Air Force base, at the PX i picked up new sneakers, a pair of jeans and cigs. We had a great time.

My Phone...
Ok... a few months ago (when I was unemployed and BROKE) my sister couldn't make up my half of the phone bill so she borrowed the money from our mom. Sore Muscles
So I went to the gym again yesterday and did the circuit and cardio and some stretching.. I took a break this morning from the circuit and this evening I am going up there to do cardio and step aerobics.. I wonder how I'll feel after that.. My abs are really sore right now from yesterday but I guess that's a good soreness.. I will have to let ya know how I am doing after my class tonight though..I haven't ever done a class yet.. so we'll see how it goes. Charlie Horses..woohoo!
So I have been totally slacking on my blog, but not on working out..thankfully..I wasn't able to go to the gym since last Wednesday.. until this morning, because my parents were in Vegas and everybody else has been sick, or I didn't have money at the time to pay a sitter... but I have been working out at home so I didn't slack off TOOO much.. I definately made up for it in the gym today though.. did 40 minutes of cardio / 20 on bike, 20 on treadmill and then I did circuit training and cruches, and then did my first step aerobics basics class... yowza.. I got charlie horses in both calves and got really dizzy.. so I didn't complete the hour long class, just 30 minutes of it.. but it was definately fun and could feel the burn after just a couple minutes, so I am going to have to make sure I am there every Wednesday to work my way up to doing more. I am eating Healthy and making sure I avoid the aisles with all the junk at the grocery store and the over processed foods and even working

Other Thoughts
Other things that have been on my mind are not nearly as important as school, but might be part of the reason that I'm just not being myself. I've been feeling sort of lonely lately, and it's really bugging me. I don't know why either, because I seem to always be surrounded by friends. Sure it's not all the time, but the majority of it. I'm not sure but it's just annoying to feel lonely when at the same time I'm thinking that there's no reason that I should be feeling this way. It might just be me getting homesick again. I did last year, and this is only my second year away form home. Lately I've really been missing my nieces so that could be a big part of it. So i woke up to the cat throwing a potted plant around my office, getting potting soil everything, etc. I took a shower, ate my eggo sandwitch, and did my hair[which looks hella cute btw] and went to let the dog in so we coudl leave to go out to my moms to work. The dog decided right then, right after i get out of the shower, to roll in poop. So now, i have to change out of my clean clothes, and bathe the dog. Which means, no matter what i do, Im going to smell like poop today. Unless of course I take another shower, which seems pointless considering Im going to work, which is a housecleaning job, hence scrubbing toilets.
