Well tomorrow is the first part of my surgery at 12:45. Not sure if they are keeping me or not but even if they don't i'll be home for a few days the go back for the second part of the surgery. Well, dunno really how to begin this. I am thinking about leaving this place. I had some great fun here for quite a while and happened to meet a couple of wonderful people. What Else Can Happen?
I went to the DR and just had bloodwork done and she marked it urgent as to have the results in a couple hours. Plus I have to have another cat scan done to make sure the emergency surgery they did back in August actually repaired everything. She thinks there is a block in the circulation to my kidneys that is draining my potassium and causing my BP to sky rocket again. It was 189/133 an hour ago. And Im on meds that usually control it. If there is a block then I need more surgery and Im scared. Im tired of being poked and prodded and sliced and diced. I eat right, I excercise and take good care of myself and my family. Im at a loss right now.

End Of Turkey Day, Friday, And Such.
Hello again my Peaches!! So after the flood, and maintenance putting in a new water heater, we had a HUGE mess to clean up. Then it was back to Thanksgiving cooking. My husband was talking about putting stuff together at the store the other night. Another guy was back there and they decided he should help with assembling, especially since he liked putting things together. The tables had to have screws put into them but the holes had little plastic coverings to protect them during shipment. The coverings had to be removed before you put the screws in. The other guy didn’t remove the plastic before trying to insert the screw. As he told this story, the double entendres got deep. Or not deep, perhaps, since the other guy could not get the screw to go in. My son (16) was listening and he started laughing at some of it. Update On Knee
Well its been 52 days since my surgery and my therapist is extremely pleased with my progress. My goal is to be able to bend my knee the same as my left knee which is 140 degrees. Today on my own I was able to bend my knee 130 degrees. Last Wednesday when I had therapy with help from the therapist I was able to bend my knee to 116 degrees laying on my stomach and today without help was able to do that on my own :). Hopefully that means only a few weeks more therapy left

Hi...sorry it's been a while since I've written, but here I am...well, most of me, anyway. Three mornings ago, I had oral surgery. Nothing life threatening, obviously, but moderately traumatic to me personally. Those who know me know I talk for a living, so any surgery in that general area could certainly damage a rather lukewarm career in broadcasting. As it stands now, three days later, I cannot speak any "s" sounds clearly and my chin is still numb. That may last quite a while, I've been told, as I had some nerve damage in my jaw. I've also noticed some swelling in my face, making me look like Tim Allen in "The Santa Clause". This movie was actually better than I had previously thought. Acting was good, the story line was alright. It could have been better of course. ****Spoiler Alert!!!!!**** In the movie, about not even half way in, they reveal the identity of the killer to the audience. Not the motive though. I thought that it should have been kept secret longer. The movie itself kinda followed suit with the Saw movies in such a way that the people were tortured then killed. They were not however offered life as in Saw. But I think that it shouldn't have been let known so soon. This is basically how I think they should have wrote it: Starts out the same, killing small animals then moves on to bigger and better prey, humans. It's Been A While, But This Is What's Up ...
I've been to 3 dental appt's in within the last 30days.... There were 2 points of interest in my mouth. 1 is being treated with antibiotics at the moment. The other was biopsied and it will be a week or 2 before the lab results come in. I have been informed that, tho possible not cancer in and of itself, this growth could very well be a manifestation of HPV.. Human Papaloma Virus... Which, even tho it is a growth inside my mouth, may or may not be indicative of cervical cancer.. There are MANY strains of HPV and only a few are linked to cervical cancer, so I've got my head up high. I just need to wait for the biopsy results and in the meantime, see my ObGyn for related tests...(Ladies, you know whata I am talking about) Last but not least, I have what looks like a birthmark/mole on my right temple. Kentucky Hot Brown
From Chef Nick Sundberg: This is a regional favorite that originated at Louisville's Brown Hotel earlier in this century. Many variations can be found, most commonly country ham is added and a cheddar sauce is substituted. This is our version which I feel is closer to the original recipe. It is offered on our lunch menu. INGREDIENTS: 3 ounces turkey breast, roasted, sliced 1 slice toasted white bread 2 slices tomato 2 slices bacon, cooked and drained Sauce: 2 ounces butter 3 ounces flour 3/4 cup cream 1/4 cup milk 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, grated salt and white pepper to taste PREPARATION: Heat butter and add flour. Whisk and slowly cook for 5 minutes. Whisk in cream and milk and heat. Whisk in cheese until melted. Season. Simmer for 30 minutes. Sauce should be very thick. Quarter toast and place in an oven safe dish. Top with turkey and tomatoes. Cover well with sauce. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Garnish with bacon.

Promotions In The National Guard
I was able to download what we call the EPS List (Enlisted Promotion System) about 30 minutes ago. It lists every soldier by rank and their eligibility for promotion, how many points they have, etc. I'm not on either promotable OR non-promotable list. Other soldiers in my unit are, especially the favorites. That basically means that my paperwork was purposely left out.... and people wonder why so many soldiers leave the military disgusted. I'm definitely getting out when my contract expires. It is really bad when you get screwed out of your promotion because some jackass wants his buddy to get the promotion instead. So much for all the hard work I put in on this deployment...

Letter to family written Dec 9, 2005 Hopefully, tomorrow will be the last day I am without heat in the house. It never seemed to bother me much in August, and never crossed my mind in July, but lately it is something I think of often, between sneezes. Uncontrolable Thoughts.
Does life always seem uncontrolable? Can someone really hold your heart in there hands with care or will they eventually break it some how. Do we hold ourself's responsible for anything anymore or is everyone else to blame, why cant we all live in peace instead of hiding in shame. To often one can't see what is staring them in the eyes, holding it far away they feel safe but make you feel pain, never knowing they took your heart and breath away. Love's a word we use to often without understanding what makes it work, hold back the word until you know for sure this way pain is no more.

Working World
ok yes i'll give it's nice that the minimum wage went up to a whole $7.15 an hour in this great state of pennsylvania, but after taxes from STATE (now sitting 5% higher than when we got $5.15 an hour.) and local (which charges a privlige to work tax as well as going up 3%) i'm still only making roughly $4.50 an hour if i'm lucky. some one tell me how to survive on $4.50 an hour. even if i would be lucky enough to find a job willing to give me 40 hrs a week. come on ppl what $4.50 X 40? it's 180, ok now on that 180 a week i have to set back money for rent, car isurance, utilitys, plus the phone, cable, and internet bills. ok rent is $600 a month so that alone is $150 a week. then utilities we'll say $15 a week. car insurance can be any where from $50 a month to $150 a month (depending on your record) but mine is $80 so theres another $20. and the extra package is $50 a month (thank you comcast triple play) so thats roughtly $13. ok now lets do the math. the basics is $198 a month alone.

Odd Feelings
I dont really understand the feelings that are flying through my head and my heart. I watch a sappy love movie and I bawl my eyes out. Starting The Blog
I guess if I'm going to do this I might as well do this right. Blogging isn't what I normally do to express my feelings, I just say what's on my mind...and try to do it in a way that is encouraging instead of discouraging. I've learned to use discretion and tact as a tool for being able to effectively communicate my ideas or opinions to another without making a scene or a difficult situation. I've learned that timing is everything. So.... I don't think I really need a blog, but I guess if I started this thing I might as well entertain myself with the weird musings that cross my gray matter from time to time, and give you the reader confirmation that you are not as messed up in the head as you might think!

Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies
Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies 2 1/4 cup all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 3/4 tsp salt 3/4 cup butter, room temperature 1 1/4 cups brown sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 large egg 1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light, about 2 minutes. Beat in vanilla extract and egg until smooth. With the mixer on low speed, gradually add in all the flour mixture, stopping when the dough has just come together and no streaks of flour remain. Stir in chocolate chips. Place slightly rounded tablespoons of dough on baking sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes, until just golden around the edges. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Makes 3 dozen.

Just In A Down Mood
Another update. I have the neurologist appointment on the 22nd so I have a wait. I been feel a lot better physically and lot worse mentally. My weight is still up. I can't seem to get it off. When he moved to London he joined the British Airways Groovers a steelpan band that travelled internationally for five years. so i realized today that i havent written anything here lately.....actually i havent done much of anything lately...its depressing as hell. day in and day out its the same routine. not something i'm unaccustomed to but something that i dont enjoy when the routine is left to the whim of my own boredom. well i've decided to try to change that along with a few other things in my life. first and foremost theres a 98% chance i'm going to re-enlist with military this month. which means i'm headin for MP school in september. i have annual training coming up in august which should be fun. i must say as much as i've hated the military at times and wanted to get out now that the time has come that my enlistment is ending i realize that the military actually helped me in ways i couldnt see until now. it gave me structure to my life. something to do. help when i needed it. and at this point if i do re-enlist and they want to send me back overseas well fuck it i'll go in a heartbeat.

Settling Down
After 5 years of rebelious behavior towards my family I think I'm finally starting to settle down. The past couple of years I felt like I needed a man to settle down with, but I've realized that I have to settle down with myself before I can settle down with someone else. I think subconsiously I've always known this, but it's hard to fight that lonely feeling, especially when you see all your friends getting married and starting thier lives. I hate that it took a dui for me to finally realize it was time to slow down, but after almost 6 months thru probation and not having a license and all the other life changing events that have gone on I've finally realized that I'm almost 24 years old, I need to grow up and start my own life as well. I've quit smoking, I don't drink NEAR as much as I used to, and I've finally gotten signed up for college. I start back in January, and I'm excited to see where this new road takes me.

DRUGS: What are they? We need drugs for pain, sickness, or even pleasure. I was at a dilemma today about drugs. All drugs are addictive, teenagers are now looking for the better high. Now they are using perscription drugs to get their fix. I found out today that one of my good friends was back on the stuff. It scared me, I did let this person know how I felt about it. I don't like drugs perscribed or otherwise. I've had to many friends lose their lives and families to drugs. Can this be stopped? Im Bursting
You all know I have my own business ... usually personal details and such I keep very close to myself. However I am bursting and the details I cant share with people here because I have promised not to. Since I moved the store and have had to deal with losing my older customer base due to them falling away I have been dealing with a pretty good debt owed to one of my suppliers. They have been fantastic to me and helped me fight to get from under it. The owner has watched me hang on carry on and do what I have to do but its a slow painful and stressful crawl. I was having a conversation last night with a good friend on this site. We both just received Auto 11s from a giveaway that she had entered both of us in. We had decided that we weren't going to activate them at the same time. She told me she wanted me to do mine first because she was ready to see me Godmother. Last Politics Stance And Then Off The Soapbox
I have noticed a lot of drama and bloodshed during this election, it is all over even Fubar, in our MuMMs, on our scrolls, and people changing their names and status to reflect their views. I only ask that as it is SUCH a big election, PLEASE PLEASE utilize your being able to vote and DO SO. Chocolate Pie
CHOCOLATE PIE 1 cup cocoa 1/4 cup corn starch 3 separated eggs 1 1/2 cups sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 cups milk 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 baked pie shell Mix cocoa and cornstarch. Ad beaten egg yolks, sugar and salt. Add milk gradually, stirring constantly. Cook until thick. Add vanilla and pour into a baked pie shell. Beat egg whites frothy, add sugar and beat until stiff. Spread on pie and bake in slow 275 degree oven for 30 minutes. ( You may use whipped cream as topping instead of egg, of course.)

Updates To My Life
Well the last time I wrote here it was around Valentines day. This last one that passed he sent flowers. Yes I did get something from him and a promise to be better next time. Ok well we are no longer together. I was asked not to wait for him to get back from a 9 month cruise. Even tho I have already waited a year and nine months for him. Anyway I am single. No it hasnt sunk in yet that I wont have him when he gets back. I am still waiting for him even if he doesnt want me to. I guess I still have hope. Is that so bad? Ticker Update
Hi All! I just wanted to let you know what's going on with my heart. I wrote a blog about what happened called, *Had A Little Scare Tonight*. You might want to read that one first. It's been about a month since the hard PVC's started. PVC's are premature ventricular contractions. Basically the bottom part of your heart throws in an extra heartbeat between the regular ones. Sometimes they are so strong that my chest hurts and my head aches. Last Thursday, I spent 24 hours wearing a Holter monitor. The little recorder is attached to your body by 5 leads that are similar to EKG leads. It records your heartbeat for 24 hours, and that information is uploaaded to a computer for a doctor to review. The results of that were that I have an occasional elevated heartbeat with pvc's and I don't need medication unless I'm uncomfortable. My doc is waiting on the other test results to make a decision on that. Today I had an echocardiogram. It's a sonogram that checks all the v

Hit a doghouse on the freeway 2 days ago. That in itself was odd. I mean, come on now who but me. I let my dogs out this morning, shut the gate to the back yard... Christmas Cookiie Recipe
Christmas Cookies 1 cup water 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup sugar 1 tsp salt 1 cup brown sugar 1 tbsp lemon juice 4 large eggs 1 cup nuts 2 cups dried fruit 1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila Sample the Cuervo to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo Again to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and Drink. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy Bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point it's best to make sure the Cuervo is still OK. Try Another cup just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy.
