To All My Pittsburgh Area Friends
In an effort to help us get through the loss of my brother, PJ, the family has adopted Rt. 28 from the Heinz Plant to the 31st Street Bridge. Within the next few months PennDOT will install signs, approaching Heinz on the northbound and Lambro’s on the southbound. The signs will say: Adopt a Highway In Memory of Paul “PJ” Shepherd Jr. In return, we will be cleaning up litter from the sidewalk and the hillsides four times per year. We invite you to join us in remembering PJ while making a positive impact on the community. We will be meeting on Sunday July 29, 2007 (two days after his 37th Birthday) at the Penn Brewery parking lot on Troy Hill Rd at 9:30 am. Life Officially Sucks
I'm nearing my breaking point lately... I feel as though all I do is planned around what others need me to do, want me to do, or expect me to do... Here is my typical day.. I wake up at 7AM usually because there are 3 crazy kids upstairs with obviously no adult supervision jumping off the couches, or dumping canisters of blocks onto the floor.. mind you I'm living in an unfinished basement right now.. right below the living room and hallway, with paper thin ceilings apparently.. I get my clothes out.. get dressed.. and then wake up my 8 month old son, Micah.. I try to feed him but he usually needs an hour orso to wake up.. I leave arounf 745am to bring my Mom to work.. it's a 30 minute drive.. so we get there by 820.. then I drive around and wait for 830.. to drop off my brother at school. he cant be dropped of until the teacher is outside.. and she obviously doesnt leave her room til 830 to meet the kids and let them in.. so I drop him of and then head home.. My Sister
We found out a year and a half ago, that my sister had cancer. By the time they found out she had it, they gave her 6 months to live. She has been fighting, but getting weaker. It has spread throughout her body. Last night she was rushed to the hospital, they say she has pneumonia. That on top of her weakened condition, they say she may not pull through. Please everyone, pray for her. I thank you all for your time. Love and hugs to you all, ~V~ Nov.2 Went to see my sister yesterday, she is in the final stages. They said she should have been gone by now, but she is a fighter. According to HOSPICE...she has just a few weeks. They have a hospital bed set up at her home, and she can't go anywhere now. It is hard to see someone you love going through so much pain. Nov.25th 2007 My sister, Donna Louise Sapp, died at 12:48 p.m. She is no longer in pain, but will be missed more than she knows. Its important to me, and I feel I need to get this out, so I can just get on with my life. Back in May, I met someone. He came to my page, "stalked me", as we used to say, and I started talking to him. Well, daily, our friendship grew stronger and stronger. I was well aware of the fact that he had a girlfriend, and tried to help him out in any "situations" that he was unsure how to deal with. Everything that went wrong, did, and I finally had to get out of there for my well being, as well as to take care of my mom and sister, out here in Florida. About The Album Maintenance
Was there any note in that bulletin which has now vanished whether we would be responsible for resetting our album permissions ourselves? I've begun to do so - and will finish doing so in an hour once I've finished about a gig of file transfer - but if the information was saved beforehand (assuming it wasn't an unexpected problem and data loss in the first place) and will be restored by admins - I do have quite a few photo folders myself all of which now have the same permission level (private), I'll have to remember (I don't have it written down) what each one had originally :) - well, that would be better still.

You know I bet no one has changed a major as much as I have in the past year. I went from Computer Science, to Business Management, and now to Accounting Technology. Man, can a woman ever make up her mind? Well, hopefully this one should be the one for me. The fall quarter is almost over. Mike is not doing so well in Spanish, but he is sticking it out. I try my best to help him. Geology not for sure yet. Finally, in Social Work he has an A or B. Winter is just a few more months away. Here is what I am going to be taking this winter: UC 116, Psy 101. BMT 115, and ATCH 103. Not in that order but who cares. Well until then, I will update this when winter quarter gets here.

Listening to the sound of my breath as I wait for the water to creep in. Slowly feeling the pain of all these years rise to the surface. So last weekend was pretty sweet. Saturday was the errand run about then kick back zen day full of hiking and puzzle games after the taskage was complete. Sunday was my favorite day (even though I had to work that night). Slept in. Boo made an awesome breakfast of French toast, and bacon. Yummy-yumms. Long lazy shower, then we road tripped to Silverman Farm in Easton (http://www.silvermansfarm.com/ ) to go apple picking and other mad nonsense (to be more specific Silverman's has a pretty awesome petting zoo, and I have goat issues as well as cow love...) I cracked open the change jar and liberated a firm fistful of quarters to buy corn for the animals (oh-cloven hoofage) The trip was fun- the kids being ham & cheese, and the last 10 minutes chanting a Liz song in ode to the apples & goats-yeah! I think the song bit wore on my man, but being hard core he smiled benevolently at his encompassing chaos. We meet up with our friends Mike, Angie, and their little girl Zoe. Deepest of ironies

Starting Over
As we head into the last two months of 07, I look back at the year thats gone by.. November 22 will be 1 year to the day I left a very bad realtionship. R.i.p Dad
Well, my dad passed away today, Thanksgiving at 3:25 P.M. I am thankful that he was saved and knew he would be going to heaven. And am thankful that he is no longer hurting or sick. He is better off than any of the rest of us at this moment. However, I am human so am very sad to have lost my daddy. Thanks to all who have been here for me and supported me the last few weeks. Luckily it was just that, a few weeks instead of months or years of suffering. One last thing I am grateful for is my friends who kept me going through all of this. Had Enough!
I try to believe that there really are no bad people out there but once again the mother of myh boys has proven me wrong again. Today I found out that for over a year that I have had custody of my sons, she has been collecting social security checks against my older son and his special needs but couldn't even buy diapers for the boys let alone pay the child support she owes, but if you're heading out to the bars she'll lead the way. Well, here I sit. I ususally write my blogs on MySpace, but thinking of changing them to Fubar instead. It's Sunday afternoon, raining and cold. This is the 8th weekend in a row that I have stayed home all weekend...not a record, but working on it. My Pets Part 1
How I got my pets is a story in it self. They are both throw away dogs. Each was 4 years old when I got them. The first one I got was my little terrier Buddy. I got him and his brother, Kipper, they were 4 years old and not used to human touch. I rescue them before they got to the animal shelter, the owners daughter-in-law was bring them in after work and I worked with her. The owner had them in their yard and fed them cat food, but never handled them. It took me two months for them to even let me touch them. Found out later that the previous owner was pet breeder and could not sell them so that was the reason they were like that. Then one day someone stole Kipper from my yard. Poor Buddy was hiding at the back of the dog house I bought for them. It took another two months for him to come out of his shell and trust me. I had to train him to become a inside dog. Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb
Ok, so I consider myself smarter than most, but I am beginning to believe otherwise. This morning is a direct reflection of how dumb a single man can be. I will blame this one on my mom for not teaching me this when I was younger. Thanks MOM. So all was well beginning this morning. My son and I both woke up on the right side of the bed. A year ago today.. exactly, I bought an Xbox360/w/extended warranty and a JVC camcorder @ Best Buy in Findlay. The next day we had to exchange the xbox because it wouldn't work, and I also exchanged the JVC Camcorder for a Cannon mini DV one. Well yesterday when we were in Findlay we went to the BestBuy to exchange the xbox because its f'd up .. well they didn't have any.. so I asked them to check if Toledo BestBuy did.. they did. So today I called them told them to hold one because we had an exchange. Most of my family on here knows I've had a sick puppy for a few days ...Finally got him to the vet and they told us it was Demodex mange a type of dermatitis prob that is given to the pup from it's mother ... there are 2 types of this kinda mange sarcoptic(contagious) and Demodex (non contagious)with the demodex however there is 2 stages 1st local it can occur on their faces paws and lower backs and the kind my puppy has which is the severest Generalized his entire body is infested by demodex mites ... as the dogs immune system is lowered the mites take over the eating at the flesh it starts in the hair foliclies and eats its way out on to the skin which can also lead to the killer of the dog A secondary skin infection .. only a good vet can tell right off the kinda mange your dog may have if not they do a skin scraping. The Next Trip

Going Away For Surgery
Okay guys my 8 month old baby is going in for surgery tommorrow morning. This wil be surgery number 6 for him. Those of you close to me know the deal with everything. Those of you who arnt he has a detached retina and glaucoma in the left eye which has made him blind. And he has a heart murmer and seizure disorder. He has a hard time with surgerys and being put to sleep. This is the last of the surgerys and the most intense and important. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Feelings And Thoughts
Okay here goes, this is how I am feeling right now and feel I need to get it out of my head but don't want to bother Jeremy with it cause he has enough on his plate worrying about the racecar. They say god puts on you what you can take, and I believe that and I feel that god must think I am really strong cause I don't think I can do this. All I want in life is a home of my own, and Jeremy to be able to race. Every time I think we are getting on track we get slapped in the face. I think I should get a second job to help pay things off and save money, but I am afraid that we will spend the money if I earn extra. empathy is very interesting. since it acts like a double edged sword. a person with empathy can be there for their loved ones. b/c they know that something is wrong. they may not always know what exactly is wrong. but yet its very difficult to focus on ones own feelings. with the feelings of everyone else getting in the way. me and someone i'm close to. were talking about it recently. and it made me realize just how difficult being an empath really is. my first empathic experience was when I was 3yrs old. My Favorite Brownie Recipe
Best Brownies 1 stick margarine or butter, melted 1 cup of sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup plain flour ( all purpose) 1/3 cup Hershey's cocoa 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/3 cup nuts (optional) 1/2 cup white chocolate chips 1/2 cup plain chocolate chips Set oven to 350. Spray or grease a 9 inch square pan. ( I use Pam and and 13 by 9 glass casserole dish.) Melt butter in microwave for 30 seconds. Blend butter, sugar, vanilla in large bowl. Add eggs using a wooden spoon, beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually blend into egg mixture. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Spread in greased pan or dish. Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes or until brownie begins go to pull away from edges. ( good test it stick in a tooth pick and if it comes out clean its done.) Cool and slice in whatever size square you want.

Time deals us no warning in life. It is the one constant we all must endure, from birth till our everlasting rest. How do you go about telling someone you love them? It's that wierd conversation that you can never know the outcome of. You say to yourself every day since you realized, just keep it to youself, that it's not time, he's not ready to hear it. Is it really just because your afraid to hear it, or scared of it? That your not ready for it? You can say to yourself not to say those words ever and keep them from coming out for only oh so long before it slips. When it does slip you pay extra attention to make sure you don't do it again. Sometimes even lashing out on that person for petty lil' shit just because you want an excuse not to say those words. ~ Close to Home ~ Hi everyone. I have come across a video of an Extraordinary man who is dying. I hope you take the time to view this in it's entire presentation as I feel it will enrich everyone with the patience to watch it. I pay it forward because it strikes close to home with me. You see, I too have a battle that I am fighting minute by minute. I blew out two discs working as a medic and when an MRI was done, a tumor was found growing on my spine at L-1, shocked me beyond words and left me numb. The discs blown were L-5 and S-1. I am going thru treatment and accept injections in my back four at at time....I have to tip my hat to ladies that get epidurals. Not a pleasant experience. I tell you my journery because of the bravery of the man in the lecture. This too is why I chose to place blogs mostly about Love. I do not wish pity on me. How To Spot A Liar..hmm
So last night I asked Adam if he brushed his teeth as I instructed him to do, he stands there and purposely looks upwards as if he is struggling to do so..and says yah I did..and I looked at him and said you are lying to me, now get in there and brush your teeth. He said "Mom how did you know, I was looking up like your are supposed to do when you are telling the truth, I wasn't looking down like when people lie." Needless to say I was at loss for words, but managed to pull out "Adam how do you know about that?" and he said "I heard you telling someone how to tell if they are lying or not..." So my 6 yr old now knows how to spot a liar..and how to tell if someone is telling the truth..I kind of think this is bizarre and advanced behavior for a child..what do you guys think?

OK, so i don't really post blogs that often ,but i just have a lot on my mind so i was told to do this to see if it helps. well my life has been so hectic lately. It's kind of driving me nuts. so many emotions running through me to the point where i just want to scream. very close family members that love a lot are moving. That's kind of sad for me. They have been around in my life since i was born. I'm going to be sad if we lose contacts. my aunt who babysat me when i was little has cancer again. she is not going to have any treatment. She says "I've lived a long enough life."i understand what she is talking about she is 87. I'm just tired of losing people in my life. I've lost so many people already . I'm finally 21 my birthday was Monday June 16th . honestly was the worst birthday I've ever had. none of my friends called me no one said happy birthday to me besides the one person i love with all my heart. she knows who she is :D. she's pretty much the only thing that m

So Far...so Good
I started changing the way I eat some time ago but since I need to pass a PT test to get back in the Army I have to loose about 40 pounds give or take. I also have to be able to run 2 miles in about 16 and a half minutes then do sit ups and push ups. I have the sit ups and push ups down but the run is what worrys me. I started an exercise program almost two weeks ago after I put out a mumm on whether I should start slow and walk then run or just start running. I weigh a little over 250 so I started walking a mile every night, after several days of that it was getting too easy so I moved it up to a mile and a half. I have been doing two miles the last couple days. I will finish out the week with two miles and then on Monday I will run a lap and walk a lap. The running is complimented by lunges, pushups, situps....and LOTS and LOTS of stretching. I am also taking pictures once a week and keeping a food journal. I hope that it's enough.

Just wanted to bitch for a minute . how come when u try to be everything for some one they don't want you , but when u treat them like shit they love you to deth . Osteopenia - Early Detection!
Yesterday's doctor's visit revealed that I have, as a result from the bone density test I had a couple weeks ago, osteopenia which is the early stages of osteoporis. Thankfully, early stages also mean that it might be quite reversable, although I have to take Fosomax once a week and get another bone density test done in a year. The addage, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" is indeed something that might have to become a sort of motto/reminder that this might not have to be a for-ever type of thing! :)
