Chicken Breasts With Brandied Cherry-chocolate Sauce
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons salt 4 cups water 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves 1/4 cup flour 1 1/2 tablespoons butter 1 1/2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth 1/3 cup dried cherries 1/3 cup good-quality balsamic vinegar 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate, chopped 2 tablespoons brandy 1. Mix salt into water in a large bowl or zip-top plastic bag until dissolved. Add chicken and allow to brine for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Remove breasts from brine, rinse with water, and pat dry with paper towels. 2. Preheat oven to 200°. Pour flour onto a plate or pie pan and roll each breast in flour, patting gently to lightly coat. 3. Heat butter and oil over medium-high heat in a heavy 12-inch skillet. Swirl to mix, and cook until butter begins to color. Lay breasts in pan and cook, undisturbed, until brown, about 5 minutes. I found this zany recipe online yesterday, I just had to share it!! It's the Drink of the Gods, or so the 'site I got it from says Bacon Vodka Makes up one pint Fry up three strips of bacon Add cooked bacon to a clean pint sized mason jar. Trim the ends of the bacon if they are too tall to fit in the jar. Or you could go hog wild and just pile in a bunch of fried up bacon scraps. Optional: add crushed black peppercorns. Fill the jar up with vodka. Cap and place in a dark cupboard for at least three weeks.(No need to refrigerate) At the end of the three week resting period, place the bacon vodka in the freezer to solidify the fats. Strain out the fats through a coffee filter to yield a clear filtered pale yellow bacon vodka. Decant into decorative bottles and enjoy. THis seems like a waste of bacon and perfectly good Vodka

Welcoming My Wealth
So here's the scoop. I was sitting in my class today, and I had just finished smoking my robotics final. I went to check my email and it said I need to call my contact at this place that automates buildings right away. I knew the news was going to be good, because if it isn't they will just ignore you. So I got home, gave my buddy Joe a call.. and he offered me a job programming logic controllers that will control everything in entire buildings from security, to environmental controls (heat, cooling, lights, etc..). I asked him how much.. and he made me an offer, and told me I would get a 4$/hr raise after 90 days. (As well as an all expenses paid week long trip to Chicago for some training.) So.. there's the word. Now I won't have to type it out 15 times :)

whats the point in trying to better myself. if the closer I get to achieving my goals. the more obstacles are placed in front of me. I just found out that if I leave for basic training I will be homeless upon my return. and with my business I have orders i can't fill b/c I either don't have the mold or the scent. the orders I do get barely cover the cost of my supplies. and my family doesn't want to help me get more orders. Quick Update From The Father
Its Time for an update on Chit Chat Zone and whats going on. Once again Saturday is here and as usual every Saturday morning over Coffee I kind of sit back and review and evaluate all that has gone on for the last week. This Sucks
So my 17 yr old tells me the other day that he can't find his wallet or cell phone. I am really irritated by this. He just got his license in July and has already had 3. We are in a tight budget in this house. I never splurge on things. For his b-day in Dec. I bought him a new cell phone. He and his brothers had always shared. My oldest is in college this year so I got him his own leaving the old phone to be shared by my 2 youngest. He deserved it. He never asks for anything. Just so happens that we were down south for spring break. He left his charger in his brother's dorm. Since his battery was dead he had put the sim in his old phone and was waiting for his bro to mail the charger. The Surgery
Ok, so here it is... For all you who know what is going on(and those of you that may not) it has come down to this...my doctor has decided and i have agreed, that with all the problems i have been having these last few months, that a hysterectomy is the last and only step/option left... Figured out and got the date and time and it's all official now...(didn't get the date i wanted-but oh well) Monday May 12th is the date, at a god awful 7:30am surgical time, at Fountain Valley Hospital. I am told i will be in hospital for 1 week, so i will not be online for a while...during that week at least and maybe 2... To all my friends who have been here with me and for me thru this, i cant thank you enough!! Edge Of An Abyss
I stand here teetering on the edge of an abyss The abyss I crawled out of all those years ago I crawled out and followed a dream for a better life. I held the dream for a long while. The dream has now come crashing to an end. I now stand here wondering how long before I descend into the depth of this abyss again. The whole time being pushed and attacked by the one I trusted the most to keep me from the abyss. The attacks gets harder and more forceful I slip but hold on just barely clinging by one hand. Being independance day, I have been thinking about some of the things set forth by the founding fathers of our country. It was once written : "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Dante and I broke up this morning, I'm heart broken but life goes on, I'm not going to stop doing what I plan on doing. I will grow from this and be stronger. I just did my online thingie for my GED test and have to call and set up an appointment to take the exam. I'm going forward with my dreams and goals. I wanted Dante to be by my side and come to my graduation from boot camp, but oh well, I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I still love him and care deeply for him and I would go to the ends of the earth for him still. He's a cool guy who has just got a lot on his plate. Wonder Why Some Grownups Act Like Children
i was sitting here wondering who's worse children or grown ups or is it that children really do learn how to treat others by the actions of the grown ups. I always thought that once you become adults you stop acting like a child in certain areas, but maybe what is happening is children are actually acting like adults. Hurting teasing or just plain saying rude things are the things we teach our children not to do so shouldn't we practice what we preach. PART 1 I have been sitting here trying to figure out how to write this for the last couple of hours, even been trying to figure out a name for this blog. Wow, its finally here, on Thursday Aug 21, I turned 50. I am amazed at the fact that I made it this far and I am truly excite about being 50. I feel my journey to get here has been a wonderful learning experience. I have had trials and tribulations as many do but I have tried to look at each experience as a learning tool that has made me the person I am. Although I will be 50, I know my learning is not done and I am looking forward to continuing the journey in this life. Finger 11 And Puddle Of Mudd
last night i went down to "On The Waterfront" and was with my mom and her friend. I had just gotten done playing basketball for the Rockford Chariots and was just going down to get some ethnic food from my church booth. I was going to make it a point to see my friends band play when the Verizon Wireless called me from the booth by state and wyman and said i had won tickets to see Puddle of Mudd. I hurried and ran down to pick them up and then noticed i jhad two tickets. I went down to Bar 7 looking for my friends to see if they wanted to go to the concert with me but no luck finding them so i sold one of the tickets to someone and went by myself and sat in the 3rd row from the stage. Here And There
I'm not going to be around as often over the next few weeks. My girl's having surgery next week, and I'm going to be taking some leave when she comes out of hospital. It's scheduled for next Tuesday, and I'll be off then, and probably then for a few days the following week (we're expecting her to be kept in for 3-4 days after). It's to try and realign her thigh bone which didn't heal properly the last time she broke it. I know how youse guys all rely on me to spice your days up, but you're gonna have to be big girls and boys and bear without me for a fu days. School Days 2
This was when I was 15/16. I think. One of the lessons I took at the time was sociology. Boy oh boy was that lesson a piece of piss, for me anyhow. Anyway, to the point. The lesson so was so easy and boring I had various escape routes. 1. Finish work in half an hour, then sleep for half an hour. 2. Finish work in half an hour and scribble all over my book for half an hour 3. Tell the teacher I had a headache, get excused and go home with a coupla mates who hated their lesson too. This was the most common. To this day I've never been sure why the teacher let me get away with it. And I passed the lesson, not bad considering I was hardly there.

Well I was able to find out what will happen exactly in the surgery, lumbar laminectomy, discectomy and fusion with interbody cages and pedicle screws. They will do open surgery, taking away the lamina of the L5 bone in order to get to the disc which will be removed, install synthetic polymer cages, either BMP(bone growth stimulating material, which will include the ground up lamina from vertebrae(L5) or synthetic bone (calcium hydroxyapetite or allograft[fake bone] or Cadaver bone[dead person]) the last part it is pedicle (IDK) screws and rods that will also extend up to L4 and maybe L3. Ingredients burger mixture: 1½-3 cups walnut pieces 2 cups rolled oats ½ cup breadcrumbs 3 or 4 eggs, slightly beaten ½ cup skim milk 1 large onion, chopped fine 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp sage 1 tsp salt freshly ground black pepper to taste for cooking burgers: oil to brown patties 3 cups vegetable stock for serving: hamburger buns and any desired burger fixings Directions Grind walnuts in blender and combine with the rest of the burger mixture ingredients. My Reality
In life you experience pain and it is something no one can avoid. Pain is normally a thing that goes away so it only effect your life for a brief period yah it sucks but you know it will pass. For me is it a content thing, sleepless night after night so many tears pushing me to the point of just wanting to end it,these are the bad days and they are hard on me, not only the pain but the disappointment in myself of not being able to take care of myself let alone my home and my children and as if that isn't enough stress I have to be strong in front of my children so they don't have to see that it is too much on me, if I show I am weak in front of them then it effects their lives. Skillet Pork Hash
1 pound boneless pork loin, cut into 1/2-inch cubes 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 (16-ounce) package refrigerated cooked, peeled and diced potato 1 cup chopped onion 1 cup chopped green bell pepper 1 clove garlic, crushed 1/3 cup chicken broth 1 teaspoon dried thyme 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley 1. Heat oil in large ovenproof skillet over medium high heat. 2. Cook pork 3 to 4 minutes, until slightly brown. Stir in potatoes, onion, green pepper, garlic, broth, thyme, salt and pepper, cover, lower heat and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes. 3. Place skillet under broiler 4 to 5 inches from heat source. Broil until surface of hash is crisp and golden brown, about 2 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley.

I will be at the hospital in the A.M. with my sister while my mother has a heart catherization to check her quad-bypass and her aortic bypass. This is to see if there are any leaks or anything of the such. I will tell you this,my mother will not survie a full blown operation of any kind and be normal. I'm sure this is entire posting is gonna sound messed up, but please bear with me! I'm willing to bet that there are a lot of people reading this who have had nights where they were dreaming, ended up getting hurt in the dream (physically), and after they wake up they still feel the pain that they endured in that dream. I know I have dreams where I do feel what is going on, but rarely wake up with so much of such an after-effect, but it does happen! Since I have suffered through physical and psychological trauma in my life (which I won't get into here), I do have dreams that are more of memories of the most painful and traumatic times and events from my past. Can This Year Get Any Worse?
been a while since I've posted, actually it's been a while since I've done anything on here.. been really busy lately, and today is the first time I've had to myself... my year has started off just wonderful.. my van was towed to the shop yesterday after leaving me stranded for a few hours.. I had a few errands to run, but didn't get to the first one. the temperature in the van went from feelin-damn-good hot, to freezing-my-sorry-ass-off cold.. then the engine temperature guage started to climb fast. so I pull over right away and got out to check under the hood. as soon as I opened the door, I could hear a loud hissing noise. when I got the hood open, there was a LOT of steam coming out from behind the alternator. it took 5 minutes for the steam to stop, when it did, I could easily see the problem, the intake manifold gasket failed. so now I'm sitting here, bored, tired, and pissed off. it's going to be an even worse day tomorrow when I go to pick the rust bucket up.. to get it fix

This has been an interesting start of a new year. And while I have not made any new year’s resolutions, I have been working on me lately. First of all, of course is my humility. It is hard for people to notice because I am so awesome, but I have been working on it. Another main thing I have been working on is how I have to have everyone taken care of. I have decided that is not my responsibility anymore. I used to have to try and have every angle covered, know where all the pieces are and make sure everyone is in the loop. Now, not so much. For example when I used to get together with friends I would call everyone and coordinate everything. I was always checking on where people wanted to go and it was just a big hassle. Now I get a time and place and don’t worry about it. If someone is late, I don’t sweat it and if the first place is packed, I can now move to a new place without waiting for everyone to make sure everyone is taken care of. For a while there, my life was an insane asylum. My home was in constant turmoil and I was at a loss as to what to do. I didn't have anyone to talk to, really. What's Going On?
Hello Friends I just figured I would write a blog in an effort to "catch up" a bit. This week has been incredulous!! Monday I worked a normal 8.5 hour day for the last time at our old store. Tuesday was an 11 hour work day spent packing up our entire store, loading up the trucks, going to our new store, unpacking the trucks and attempting some sort of organization. Yesterday, Wednesday, was a 15 hour work day spent unpacking about a zillion boxes. Since our store quadrupled in size, we added an additional 32 boxes of product (lube, adult toys, lingerie, smoke items, etc) that all got processed by yours truly. We added an additional 3 display cases to our smoke shop for MORE of your tobacco smoking pleasure! (hehe) We added an entire new Lingerie line (the ladies are going to LOVE this). I have regreted this since the day my little boy was born . The fact of knowing that my pride & joy would grow up & leave the nest . More Then A Picture Frame
The polish smoothed wood contained a golden tinted plate that spelled out the word family. Beneath the shiny plate was a glass square that contained a picture of the two brightest things in my life.
