April Fools
Todays been a fun day. Before I headed to work.. I called in and told the charge nurse that I wasnt gonna be able to make it in. That my vehicle wouldn't start. Anyways.. I tricked her good. Clog Blog
I live in an apartment complex and my studio balcony overlooks the courtyard. It's a lovely complex, filled with flowering plants, palm trees, banana trees and birds. It's unseasonably warm tonight so I went to bed with the windows open, snug and warm beneath the beautiful quilt my Mother made for me, surrounded by my warm fur babies. Hurt And Don't Know What To Do
I was married for 27 years and got divorced because my ex had an affair and then I found out he got her pregnant. So I closed myself off and put up a wall. A Bird Feeder...
I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seed. What a beauty of a bird feeder it is, as I filled it lovingly with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food. But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue. Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table .. everywhere! Then some of the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. And others birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food. After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore. So I took down the bird feeder and in three days

Needing Some Feed Back.....
Ugggggg! Life is "Funny" sometimes. I have an open marriage. Well We are trying to have an open marriage anyway. so im going through my friend requests just now and i always try to rate them after i accept them. well one of them out of 52 was an invalid request and the user had blocked me. wtf? and a handful of other requests were invalid. i am confused! what did i do or not do???? people never cease to amaze me! lol

Chest Pains...
So I spent a relaxing 3 hours in the ER today. I was having chest pains accompanied by jaw pain and a bit of shortness of breath. I was sent home from work because I looked like I was dying. My primary doc wouldn't see me because I was having heart attack symptoms, so I was sent to the ER. The ER is a magical place where the doctors and nurses really don't give a shit about you unless you're bleeding profusely or can no longer breathe. They don't go the extra mile there to find out whats actually wrong with you. They run the tests they think they need to, and send you home w/ some generic disorder/disease/illness and a painkiller and tell you to follow up with your regular doctor. Well...I just spent 3 hours here, and you tell me my sternum is inflamed? After 3 rounds of nitroglycerin(a wonderful sublingual treat that gives you a headache only a bullet can heal), an ekg, an xray, 12 viles of blood, and 4 baby asprin later...My sternum is inflamed. WTF? I just feel like bitching. I know

this poem isnt published but thought I would share it. The Invitation(6/07) I check my mail daily, hoping for good news. Today I see an invitation. My Cuzzin Survives.
Two weeks ago my two year old cuzzin had a tv fall on her and crack her skull, she had severe brain damage and the doctors thought she wouldnt make it. Scalloped Potatoes
Ingredients: * 8 potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/8" slices * salt and white pepper to taste * 2-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream * 3 Tbsp. Dijon mustard * 3 garlic cloves, minced * 3 Tbsp. butter * 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese Preparation: Layer sliced potatoes in a 9x13" glass baking dish and season with salt and white pepper. Combine cream, mustard, garlic, and butter in heavy saucepan and heat just to the boiling point. Pour over potatoes. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove cover and evenly top with Parmesan cheese. Bake 30 minutes longer or until cheese is golden brown and potatoes are tender. Serve immediately. Serves 8-10

So, here we are. We were doing just fine with the old rating system, where every 150 or so rates you would get the bouncer, which if you are HUMAN you can work around. I Have A Uncle I Never Knew I Had

Deploying......Again Well another deployment has come upon us, and it seems that all is like it usually is. The endless preparation is far worse than the deployment could ever be. Just Another Week
So I managed to fry the keyboard to my computer Friday afternoon. I spilled a full glass of diet Dr. Pepper on it to find Friday afternoon it didn't work any more. So the cheapest place to buy a new one is Wal-Mart the catch is our Wal-Mart is new. The newest one and it is busy beyond belief. But super centers stay open 24 hours and I got up super early this morning and went to Biscuitville and then over to Wal-Mart by 6AM> I wandered around about 20 minutes thru what I am sure was by now another zip code entirely and found a new keyboard that is to my likeing. Forest Hill Cemetery..
Just wandering about in a light rain and I found myself drawn to an area off to the side. It was one of the older parts of the cemetery. It seemed to be mostly children, babies up to about 16 and all died within 3 or 4 years of each other. A few times I thought I felt something touch my feet when I stood still in the same place. It was near a stone marked with the name Hermina. When I got home I looked the place up on line and they have a data base. So I thought why not look for the names of the children that I was standing near. I stood in front of 2 small markers that had girls names on them. One was Hermina the other Esther. Hermina was born in 1868 and died at a little over 8 years old. Esther was born in 1894 and was nearly 4 at her passing. They were both of the same family name. Judging from the way the hands felt I'd have to say it may have been Hermina who touched me.. I'll have to return and see if it happens again..

Back From Mt
Just got back from Montana an hour or so ago. The funeral was really nice, there were a lot of people that I didn't know. They had an open casket viewing which was kind of difficult, but it was my dad's choice. During the funeral procession, it was the van carrying the palbearers, the hearse, my dads car and then my sisters car followed by several others. Was really nice that when we got part way through town getting ready to turn onto a main street a cop stop and blocked traffic so we didn't break the line of cars. Honestly, it will probably be the last time I go over there. There is nothing left there, and my dad lives in Canada on with his Sasquatch fvcked up wife. She is a bitch, and did make me uncomfortable the past few days. My dad was talking about getting more american smokes and I told him I would trade him a pack straight across and she was like, NO! Well it happened was taking the kids to meet their mom had about 60 miles to go was entering onto I-95 heading south when all of a sudden wham I hit the guard rail gashed my head open it really hurts bad still no stiches refused medical attention although I might have to go because it has been bleeding since yesterday and wont stop. Most important the kids they were all right selt belted in more scared than anything especially after seeing all the blood running down my face. Thankfully it happen at 30 miles per hour not 70 or 80, on the interstated cause I wouldnt be here writing this nor maybe neitehr my boys, my steering just went out which cause my truck to jerk left in the turn and hit the rail causing the front wheel to snap off and we went up onto the rail almost going over down the embankment. All is good we are alive and I am still here to raise my kids.

My Oldest Sister
Today is a VERY sad day for me. My oldest sister committed suicide,they think tuesday night,but just found her this morning. When Will They Understand
Ok so here i am again. This one is not as easy as it seems cause i dont open up much but here it goes. How do you get one to see that some of us carry scars you know the ones that can not be seen and when someone opens one that was closed off and almost forgotten why do they not see that old scars never heal that they are just put away for a good reason. Day 8 - Cube
Today's film was Cube. This is my first time watching it. This is a 1997 film about 6 people stuck in a giant cube shaped puzzle. In some rooms are deadlh traps and others are safe. It's basically Saw before Saw and less violent and more thinking. This film has a great concept but doesn't hold up by todays standard. The plot works. The puzzle is fun to solve and it was great when they got another clue because then I was thinking along with them. With the whole film taking place in the puzzle, it made you feel like they felt. No flashbacks or any visual backstory makes this claustrophobic. With these twists and turns the pace never slows down and that made this film fun to watch.
