Energywork References
I have been asked on several occasions for the best references for learning about energy and energywork. I was reminded recently when I rediscovered a wonderful book by Donna Eden! So I am putting out a short list of books that I personally like. There are many, many books on energywork from all sorts of perspectives available. These are the ones I have found helpful: Energy Medicine by Donna Eden. This is mainly teaching about energy for your personal healing work. But it can be used for healing others, as well. This is a fantastic resource!! Hands of Light, and the sequel, Light Emerging, both by Barbara Brennan. These two assume you will be doing healing work on others. Both give many tips for taking care of yourself and not depleting your own personal energy. Great color pics, as well. My Family
So I haven't blogged in awhile.....figured I would let y'all know what was going on in my life. We FINALLY got our internet back up and running so I'm usually on ATLEAST once a day! Well as many of you know I have been having problems with pre-cancerous cells on my cervix for over 2 years now. I went to the Dr today and I am having a hysterectomy with in the next few weeks probably on the 18th, I will keep you all informed when, when I know for sure. Have you ever pondered what a small gesture might do for someone. I dont usally think on it myself. Like most people I assume I have bigger things to worry about than simple things like a hug from a friend or a card, of a letter. Or maybe a phone call from out of the blue, no particular reason just someone had you on there mind. Now Im not saying Im unappreciative at anytime. The fact is, I sometimes take this for granted. Kind of funny how things work out at times, me and gf have been dating for going on four weeks now, and have been enjoying each other's company every time we can get together. Back Home From The Hospital...
Greetings friends and sorry for not being around. Apparently I "disappeared off the face of the earth" and wanted to let those who care and showed much love and light that I had a close call and brush (once again) with the man with the Sickle... I was out in the yard and was stung by a wasp. I went into shock, stopped breathing and heart stopped and wound up swollen and blue from an allergic reaction as well as oxygen deprivation. After several days in the cardiac ICU, I had to stay for more tests and antibiotics as well as the usual crap of IV's and getting lots of rest (yeah right - like anyone can rest when they are taking temperatures and blood pressure at 4 AM). Now I have to carry around a new sting kit since my old one was expired and didn't do squat. It's a real scary experience when the world goes dark and cold on a person and what I do remember was not all that pleasant. Got Internet Again!!
Am going to make the most of this, thanks to my son. We now have phone, cable and internet again. I am working for just above minimum wage. It does manage to pay a bill a week. Lost But Found
The clothes slid off, leaving me standing bare to the world. Or at least to the four walls of my home. Broken camera in my hand, I laid down and attempted to capture the perfect image. But with a broken lens, the camera persisted to defy me. In frustration, the camera was retired... With a thank you for all it had achieved, but with quick abandonment for a newer model. Time has passed. And the memory card that had once lived in the broken camera, found it's way once again to my hands. Curious, or perhaps needing the larger storage capacity, I placed it in to the new camera I now have. Surprised, I found a few images that had been left behind. Neglected. Perhaps I had viewed them as failures in my attempt at photography. Perhaps that was then. Today, I find a certain pleasure in them. While the images are not crystal clear, the blur somehow offers a different perspective. A form of art. Sometimes, when we love someone... We look past the imperfections.

Loseing A Loved One
i just recentaly lost someone very close to me , he was my uncle king , lost him due to brain cancer at the age of 56. he is survived by 2 daughters and a loving wife , and 5 grand children , 2 in wich he was never able to meet.my kids and my self looked up to him and my girls adored him. we all loved him very much and he will truly be missed , it is hard for my girls , one took it very hard , she is 9 years old and understands about death and it has never really botherd her untill it hit home. i know with faith and prayers our family will get through this . i thank god for ending his suffering and takeing him home , may he be at peace ....... Deception
I have a friend who is very dear to me who has a very important mission in life. There is one problem...he is being deceived. I know that I must tell him, but here's my dilemma, he is very defensive toward me right now because he wants to do what he wants to do even though he knows what he has to do, so he is not receptive to anything I tell him right now. Rescue Diver
I completed my rescue diver training this past weekend. The first step was finishing the pre-reqs. This involved taking Emergency First Responder. Its the American Heart Association class, and teaches, primary care, CPR, Oxygen use, and secondary assesment. Then we started the pool portion of the Rescue Diver Class. We had classroom sessions that involved five knowledge reviews covering different ermegency situations that occur while diving. Then in the pool we covered different rescues, and how to handle the situations covered in the book. The finale was a 50 question test. My open waters were at Chatfield Reservoir through A1 Scuba. I was suprised at the water temp, which was a balmy 65 degrees. My buddy was a 6' 2" police deputy, but there were 5 of us and we rotated being victims. The biggest challenge was searching for the missing diver in zero vis. The missing diver had silted up the water so bad that I was barely able to see the compass on my wrist. Plus there w

Reality Tv Jobs
As you've figured by now, I am a reality TV junkie. I don't waste my time with Survivor, Big Brother, crap like that. No sir...or ma'am...I love the shows showing crappier jobs than mine. So in keeping with the upcoming "Season of the Man" theme, I'm gonna review a few, and then offer a few more jobs I'd like to see shows on. My favorite is "Deadliest Catch". 4 to 10 men, on a fishing boat, on the Bering Sea, in the winter, for months at a time, what could be better? The Day That Was
Well, it was not a bad day at all. Started out, I swam 20 laps for PT. That’s a little over half a mile. I’m not an overachiever like one guy in my unit who swam 70 yesterday and 50 this morning. Then at lunch we had an OUTSTANDING lunch. We had ribs, some pasta, cornbread, garlic bread, cake (3 different types), homemade macaroni and cheese, two different kinds of homemade beans, and other foods. Let’s just say it was a crap pot load of food and I am quite stuffed still. Then, I got presented with my going away gift. Actually I got one yesterday, it’s a pretty nice looking Mexican Blanket that a couple of people transported all the way from Arizona to give to me. Cinnamon Rolls
CINNAMON ROLLS Roll Dough: 2 packages dried yeast 2 tablespoons sugar 2 teaspoons salt 1 egg 1/2 cup warm water 1/4 cup sugar 6 tablespoons melted shortening 1 cup lukewarm milk 5 cups flour Place yeast, milk and 2 tablespoons sugar in a bowl. Let stand until yeast is dissolved. Stir in everything else, except flour. Add flour and mix and knead on lightly floured board until firm and elastic, about 5 minutes. Place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise in warm place, free from drafts until doubled in bulk. Work down. Shape dough into oblong roll. Roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Spread melted butter over the top and then cover with sugar and cinnamon. Place raisins if desired on top of that. In skillet, add 1 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup white syrup to 1/2 melted butter. Stir until dissolved. Add nuts to this. Cut dough roll and place in heavy skillet or rectangular baking dish, not glass. Let rise until doubled in bulk. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden b

Ingredients Cornbread (prepared in an 8 in. round) Tomatoes (3-4) diced Cucumber (1-2) diced Green Onion (3-4) diced Bacon (1/4 to 1/2 lb.) fried and crumbled Ranch dressing Cheddar or Colby/Jack cheese (shredded) up to 2 cups Directions Fry bacon in skillet. Bake Cornbread. Crumble cornbread in a 9 by 13 inch pan/dish. Crumble bacon on top of it evenly. Drizzle Ranch dressing over the top. Add cucumber, tomatoes, and green onions in layers. Top with more Ranch dressing over the top. Then sprinkle cheddar or colby/jack shredded cheese of the top. Chill until ready to serve.

A July Update.
From July 2008 At present it seems that after an increase of medication things have evened out again. So, I am now on 250 mg AM and 250 mg PM - Lamactil. This was following a blip after seeing the Neurologist on June 17. I did start to have a hypo but stopped it by having something to eat. My hands were shaking as I tried to open the snack bar just like they did the last time I had one that I managed to stop. There is a difference between the beginnings of a seizure and the beginning of a hypo. It is a visual thing mostly because everything looks blue just before a hypo and I feel unreal or sick or like I want to faint. The start of a seizure is like a sharp jolt in the stomach which is like the second brain and it seems to have a huge surge of electricity - well that is what it feels like to me. What This Is About.
I'm sitting here, about to go to bed. I have a lot of things going on in my head and I'm thinking about how it's almost Summer. That means warm weather. Warm weather means shorts and tshirts. Now, don't get me wrong. I don't think I'm obese, I just know that I'm overweight. I also know that, no matter how much I try, I will never be like I was before I had children. I just want to lose some weight. So, since tomorrow will be Monday, I will start the diet part of it then. I'll have to find some type of exercise to do at home. I'm sure just doing simple exercises will work, but after a while, it will get boring. I'll want something that I can do that either has music or changes every so often. My goal: Lose 30 pounds. Tone up my upper arms, stomach, and thighs. At any rate, I'll be starting tomorrow and I will give updates when I can. Wish me luck!

The Burial
The picture I always said would hurt when she left is now a forgotten memory at the bottom of a box. Everything that was us, she placed in there. The movie Swing Kids was based in Nazi Germany at a time when Hitler was rapidly rising into power. The young adults who listened to underground, illegal swing music and were against the Nazi movement went through their own rebellion to resist Hitler. So I just got done watching the movie, and my 3 1/2 year old son watched it with me. At the very end, my son looked at me with tears in his eyes, completely heartbroken, and said "Mommy, this hurts my heart. Why did the bad people have to kill everybody? Hitler is a bad man." I looked at my son as he wrapped his arms around me and cried for all those people, and it made me cry too. My son's heart is amazing, and the depth of his understanding is beyond comprehension. As we sat there crying together, it made me wish that Hitler could have somehow known the heart of a child. It's amazing how much kids actually know and understand. Thank GOD my son will never have to know that kind of hatred.
