I have been a member of fubar for about 5 years on and off. This is my fourth account. I would get all gung ho about the site to either get pissed off by the asshats or burnt out, and delete my account only to regret it later. I have seen a lot of things on this site that piss me the fuck off, but I have met enough amazing people on here to make me see that this site isn't all bad. Reading the article I read earlier and then watching a show I'm watching really has me in a state. Need to write. Need to share. I don't "miss" war. I don't "miss" the violence and fear. Yes, fear. I'm kinda sad today...I don't know why. Oh my gosh, what a trip :) I had a wonderful time away from everything. I needed it so very much! I left early on the 6th with the plan of not thinking about home or anything I was leaving behind. 2 (1 1/4-pound) lobsters 8 ounces Newburg Sauce, recipe follows 8 ounces sea scallops 1/2 pound small shrimp, peeled and deveined 4 medium mushrooms, sliced 10 slices aged provolone 2 whole roasted red peppers, sliced 2 whole roasted green peppers, sliced 4 ounces Parmesan, grated Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F. Take the lobster, place it stomach side down on the counter, and with a heavy knife cut the lobster in half starting behind the head. This kills the lobster by severing its spine. If you are not comfortable ask your local fish market to cut it for you. In a large saucepan add about 4 ounces of Newburg Sauce and put on low heat. Add the scallops, shrimp and sliced mushrooms. Cook until seafood is halfway cooked, about 5 minutes. Place scallop and shrimp sauce over each half of the lobster and top with slices of provolone. Add slices of roasted peppers and top with fresh grated Parmesan. Cook until golden brown, about 18 minutes. Newburg Sauce:

hello all. in class again.. well on a break any way. i thought i would get online and check things out. all seems to be working well on here as usual. not to say i have anything to do with it. anyway, here i am. bored by microeconomics. i just got my new class schedule that starts after thanksgiving. i am not too thrilled about taking accounting II. groan... i also have a class called professional presentation and another called composition II. i've heard that accounting II is hard and easy. different opinions, i guess. i hope the easy people are right. i don't know anything about the presentation class, but i do like the instructor. the third class shouldn't be too hard, but i heard tonight the instructor is mean. i am hoping that isn't the case. hopefully that is just heresay. in any case, i will do my best and hope to pass.

Christmas Day
Well here it is Christmas Day and I thought I was gonna handle everything pretty well. The first part of the day went pretty well, then everything emotionally went down hill. Scary Moments
Yesterday didn't start out the way I was hoping. But ended pretty good I think. Okay yesterday was the Emerson Drive concert in Green Bay. I left my house to get Jenny. My car was running fine. It's Been A Week
Well the kids have been here a week. Seven days today. They seem to be ajusting to life in the south just fine. They love it here. of course havent heard from their dad in about 5 days either. Lace Cookies
LACE COOKIES 1 cup flour 1 cup coconut (or nuts) 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup karo 1/2 cup margarine 1 tsp. vanilla Preheat to 350. Mix flour with coconut. Combine karo, sugar and margarine in sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Remove from stove. Add flour mixture and vanilla. Stir well. Drop by spoon on a foil covered cookie sheet, 3 inches apart. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool at least 3-4 minutes. Peel off foil. Place on absorbent paper. Gets limp if made on a humid day.

Very Busy But Fun Weekend
Well where do I begin..Friday is payday so first of all im happy about that. After I deposit my check and take care of the bills, Im invited to a concert in Colorado Springs. Performing was the band Xiren. Xiren are very dear friends of mine and athough the music is different than what I normally play, it's the fact that I support bands and plus they're great friends of mine. Saturday, I was gonna go to the slayer concert here in Colorado but because it was an outdoor venue and it started to rain, I sold the tickets and got a new tatt with the money..lol. I got some pics of the tatts up in my photos. Sunday evening I was invited to cover the Poison concert here in Colorado. Doggy A Nervous Wreck
Ive had my chocolate lab ( Kodiak) since he was 8 pounds,at 8 weeks old. We have always treated him as our baby. Really love him and treat him as our child. Two years ago we got another female Lab. She was a puppy but not as young as Kodiak was when we got him. They got along great until just recently, he is whimpering and crying when she is in the hallway blocking his way. She growls at him when he comes inside and gets too close to the shared water bowl. Since Kodiak had a vets visit last week i told the Vet about his behavior. He suggested some antidepressents... Kinda feel bad about giving him drugs... its too soon to see a difference. Anyway anyone experience this, I guess Lola ( the Female dog is the Alpha dog) and Kodiak is scared of her. HELP... I been out of the hospital for 6 days.. after the loooooooong 12 days I was just in for.. ugh!!! Things seem to have gotten worse with me. been going ot the hospital like every other day now.. Just waiting to get the o.k. to ship me down to Boston... I believe I will be at TUFTS Medical center in Boston where they will be doing a blodd transfusion... I could be up In Boston Docs said possible up tp 2-3 weeks.... :UGH!!!!! Not looking forward to that.... Still in lots of chronic body pain and stomach pain losing more wait... couldnt even hold a hot chocolate down... lol... Go figure... Things haven't been so great recently. I'm not gonna go into details. I don't wanna depress anyone (or depress them further if I already have). I am always surprised at people. No matter where I meet you I am still going to be protective of myself until I know you better. Important...
Ok for those that were wondering, I went to Court Yesterday for the custody case. I WON!!! Sole, Legal and Physical Custody!!! He was still locked up, and apparently facing state prison. In fact, he knows the system, AND knows that in order to be at a court date (other then those appointed for crimes charged,) he has to arrange it. He didn't even take the time to do that. I guess he doesnt care as much as he says he does. January 3rd we set up visitation. So thats good, one less thing for me to worry about. Now that I have full custody and I know that my girls are safe and wont be fucked with, I've made a decision. On Monday the 4th I'm going into the Army Recruiters office. If things go well I'm going to re-enlist. I'll be leaving my daughters with their grandma while I go off to basic. For All Who Care
I spent most of the day today in the hospital and the doctors office. I'm stuck in a wrist brace for 6 weeks. Seems I have a couple of fractured wrist bones that have pinched a nerve in my right hand... bad pert isthat I'm right dominant...also I have carple tunnel in it. My thyroid is underactive and I'm scheduled for more tests in January. So i'll still try and do pics but it's gonna take awhile since i have to do the left handed and I'm slower with that hand. Looked for, couldn't find, looked for, thought I found, ... hrm, what's this?... nope, it wasn't... looked for, found something else, used it... erm... anyway, I ran "Disk Utility" on my Mac to see if things were working right because I started having trouble installing the newest version of a program. Disk Utility does a verification of my hard drive and found several problems, of which the most serious was "Invalid volume free block count (It should be 36413940 instead of 36235151)" Now to repair one's boot drive on a recent Mac (with operating system "earlier than 10.5"), one needs to get out the boot CD the computer comes with, put it in, restart it with the button C held down... and run Disk Utility again, this time from the copy of Disk Utility that's on the CD, not on your computer, basically. (So that it can repair your your hard drive without having any programs - including itself - on the hard drive running and changing things on it, I think...) ... The

Good Morning all.... Well, last night at work was one of the toughest that a nurse has to face. We had a patient whose health was declining for about 5 days. She lived a good life though, she was 100 years old. It was a very difficult night to say the least. It was my first work realted death. No one ever prepares or teaches you how to deal with this when you are training to be a nurse. No one tells you how best to deal with the patient or the family or your peers for that matter. The lonliness I felt for this woman was almost overwhelming. I notified family, but suprisingly no one wanted to come and be with her in her final moments. So, who does that leave....ME. I stayed with this woman all night and made her as comfortable as possible. Really, how comfortable can you make one who is facing death?
