President Obama's Handling Of Mcchrystal
President Obama recently accepted 4-star General McChrystal's resignation over the comments he made to Rolling Stone magazine criticizing the administration's handling of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The comments included McChrystal accusing Obama of not being very engaged in the war and being uncomfortable around military men. Many in the media side with the president on this issue, even the pundits on fox news such as Sean Hannity and Bill O'reilly. McChrystal's comments in my opinion show an even bigger underlying problem within the relationship between the administration and the military. McChrystal is seen as a legend within the military and his comments show a level of distrust and contempt for the president within our fighting forces. Is Obama, the commander-in-cheif, not paying attention to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Obviously many in our military feel that way and even more obviously are open to dissing the president and his decisions regarding the wars.

Once again this year, I’ve had requests for my Vodka Christmas Cake recipe so here goes. Please keep in your files as I am beginning to get tired of typing this up every year! (Made mine this morning!!!!)1 cup sugar, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 cup water, 1 tsp. salt , 1 cup brown sugar, Lemon juice, 4 large eggs, Nuts, 1...bottle Vodka,2 cups dried fruit.Sample a cup of Vodka to check qualit y. Take a large bowl, check the Vodka again to be sure it is of the highest quality then Repeat.Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point, it is best to make sure the Vodka is still OK. Try another cup just in case. Broken Heart
The day is done. I cannot sleep tonight. I couldn't even look her in the eyes today. It was extremely hard to fake this attitude that life was peachy in front of JD's teachers. Took Bindi to the vet yesterday. He said she is allergic to bugs. Go figure I live in southeast texas which is probably the bug capitol of the world and I have a puppy that is allergic to bugs. So as most of you know, our female cat had babies a few months back. Well I call the animal shelter today, to see about taking them there, now in Indiana, we have a whooping 2 no kill shelters. Good News
Today my dad was discharged from the hospital and sent to a rehab facility. When I walked in there with him my heart fell in my chest. The place was disgusting. It was old, smelled and just plain gross. There was no way in hell I was letting my dad stay there! I wouldn't even leave my worst enemy there. I immediately got on the phone with my dads Dr and insurance. After a major fit on my part I got him into another one which where he went before when he had his first amputation. The administrator of the first facility wasn't too happy with me, but frankly I really don't care. So everything is going well with him and hopefully stays that way. Things are looking up for me as well. Last Monday I interviewed for a higher up position where I work and today I was notified that the job is mine. :D A few of you know what this means to me. Dad's Math !!!
Dad was completely lost in the kitchen and never ate unless someone prepared a meal for him. When mom was ill, however, he volunteered to go to the supermarket for her. Having Some Issues
I want to let everyone know that i have been going through personal stuff lately and this is why you haven't seen me online. My computer has been giving me some trouble lately that it will shut off all by itself and and you can turn it on for 2 hrs after ( thermal event it keeps saying ) Also my daughter had broke her arm last tuesday and her father didn't take her the hospital to get xrays he waited 3 days then drop her off to me for my visit with her and i took her. Also having to deal with fighting him court to get her back into my custody its a long process and the stress is getting to me so much that i just choose not be online,can't sleep or eat. I want to say sorry to all the shadow levelers that i cant be there to help out. Please give me some time to get over this little bump in life and i will be back in full force. I am not exactly sure why, but I went from being eligible to post up to 2500 photos, to now 175. watch that first step, its a doozy i had to remove so many pictures that many other fubar members seemed to enjoy. i know i found them worthy of posting. thats ok. who wants to see more than 175 pics of me or me and my dog? i would never browse 2500 pictures and cant imagine anyone has, unless it was over time. Why is it that some people assume that women in an abusive relationship or have been in one think that the women can just get out when they want to. and say ohhhhhh you dont have to put up with that crap. I had a great day. I had two awesome interviews for a job I think I might get. I bought smaller jeans. So why am I not dancing around in circles? 9-11-2001 I Remember
You know I don't write much but today I decided to share some thoughts; I ermember that morning I woke up in Maui, turned the TV on and Foxnews was showing Tower 1 falling. I couldn't believe my eyes as the tower fell. I was a young boy watching those towers go up from my front yard in New Jersey and in an instant they fell, with them fell Americas innocence. We could not only be attacked in our house but we were powerless to stop it. 6 of my HS friends lost their lives that day. Today we sit here at our computers feeling safe and secure. Politics aside we live in a country that is as safe as can be from those that would hurt us. One last thought, Remember Flight 93, it crashed in a PA field because AMERICANS said that their lives were not going to be taken in vain. Life's Many Changes!
So life has taken so many changes for me. I thought my ex and I could agree on some things about him having temp custody of our son, when he draws up papers saying he gets total custody, which is not what I agreed to. He thinks he's gettin the best of me and screwing me over and I have news for him, it's not going to happen. If my car isn't fixed or it's totaled out I'm going to have to quit my job, cuz I won't have transportation. If that happens then I know for sure I won't be able to get into the Navy now. Urine Test Or Your Out
THE JOB - URINE TEST (Whoever wrote this one deserves a HUGE pat on the back!) Like a lot of folks, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. Just some little things that are happening in my world. I'm gonna probably be looking for a new job soon. Just for weekends, because I'm really not getting the hours I want anymore. Ok, here I go. I woke up this morning and everything was normal like every day. Had my shower, got dressed for work. Logged on Fubar to leave my daily profile comments. It's 6:15 am. time to go to work. I normaly have my first cigarette with a cup of coffee when I reach work. It was just after midnight as I was driving through the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in southeastern Kentucky when I tuned in the radio to an outstanding live track of the Allman Brothers " Midnight Rider". Next to my surprise was a cover of Dylan's "Baby Blue" followed by a bluegrass spiritual from Allison Kraus and then Van Morrison "Stoned Me". Ok so just how many people on here are fakes? I am sure a bunch of you now know about the fake nc cher/dok thing but recently we have come to the realization that it was more than just those two profiles and the one person doing them. I just have to say I sat and cried all day on Thursday when I found out about one of whom I thought at the time was a very good friend to me dying. And then come to find out it was all a joke and made up, and the person isn't even REAL!!!
