So. this is me. If you don't like it, there is a block button that you (or I can use). I know I am fat and ugly but you don't have to call me that. I am very insecure about my body at times. Now I have been asked why I go to the Movies and paying the money associated with it instead of waiting for it to trickle down to the delivery systems of DVD and Streaming sources. The last couple of weeks have taken a huge toll on patriotism. Just prior to Memorial Day, there was a liberal talk-show host declaring he was uncomfortable calling those who fell in battle defending our rights heroes. Then you have some teen in Houston refusing to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance because he was tired from jogging to school. Now, over the weekend, there was news from Coney Island that a principal cancelled Lee Greenwood's "God Bless The USA" from her graduation ceremony for kindergarteners. She said she was going to use Justin Bieber's "Baby" instead. She banned Greenwood's song because it was not 'age-appropriate', but a song about teen love is? These are just a few examples that made the news recently. It makes me wonder about what happened to patriotism. Home from the hospital They put in 7 screws & a plate to repair the broken right ankle. My left ankle is stronger & can bear 1/2 my weight so I can hold on & kina stand on it & pivot to get from Spot A to Spot B, but there is no "walking" yet, just stand up, pivot & sit on what I need to be on next, like the recliner or wheelchair seat. Lix can't miss work so we tried to think of everything I would need the next 12 hours before he left, and have everything within my arms' reach, but he will phone at lunch to see if he needs to come home to make any adjustments to the arrangement! It would help IMMENSELY if I wasn't a total CONTROL FREAK and could leave some things up to others to take over...but I have to do them myself so I know without doubt they are done (my way).

We forget that sometimes it takes a bit more than mere spoken words to truly reach deep inside to the person with whom we are speaking to. + We got there hella late(Missed: The Smashup, Into Eternity, and Sanctity, boo!)...arrived during Arch Enemy's set..AE churns out wonderful music, IMO, but Angela's showmanship sucks..she wasn't entertaining really, none of them were..they seemed tired. Although Im not familiar with Overkill, they were hella entertaining..the Blitz dude kept us all laughing our asses off not only between songs,but during as well..he's a fuckin comedian. Overkill wasn't just playing their songs, they were incorporating the audience, so it was a completely exuberating experience..not just us standing there listening to them play. Plus Blitz called us Oakland folks "some black-hearted muther fuckers.", yay..and he made fun of Sacramento people! My Mom
Yesterday at 1:50 PM my mom went to live with the angels. She had OCPD, and smoked for most of her life. She was alert and responsive up until thursday Morning and she knew we were all ther with her. And when I say all, Myself and my 5 kids, my sister nad her three kids and her husband and my sister closest to me in age were all there in and out most of the time. She was not in pain and never once appeared to be affraid. So although I am having a bit of a hard time dealing with her being gone, at least I know she was ready and she is no longer suffering from her illness. I've Met Some Really Cool People On Here (well Not In Person)
but it's amazing how in the mumms people seem to look down their noses at you thinking they are above the new people! Everyone on here was new here at one point in time and no one is better than others! I have been called a cunt in a mumm for posting a mumm about a child who was knocked back from a school. What's up with that? Then the same guy was putting women down in another mumm, I guess he has women issues and needs to come out of the closet! Feeling Rather Blue
I am kinda down in the dumps today. I was thinking on my way home from work this evening on my life and what I have accomplished. In some aspects it's great. I have a great job, I have money to pay my expenses, I have a car, and recently I purchased a new home. What more can I ask for? Well, a lover would be nice. I just don't understand why I don't have one. Am I too ugly? Do I deserve to have one? Am I too strong and independent? I feel like I am a good person. I try and to the right thing. Billions of dollars invested in finding little green men and we know less about our oceans than about space. Why? Glad you asked. Because space is not controversial. Alien life; exploring planets; exploring moons; naming stars. It's all pretty benign. If we explored our oceans we would have to realize that life on Earth is based on the health of the life in the ocean and we would have to protect it. Then we would have to outlaw all the pollution that is dumped into the ocean every year. We would have to pressure other countries to outlaw their dumping. This would affect industry. People couldn't get as rich. This would affect politics. People would actually have to take a stance. So, it is much easier to waste money in space than to explore our oceans and save them. Thoughts, Feelings, And My Attitude
Sometimes I get depressed. Alot of people do, esp. during the "Holiday Seasons" Nothing new there. However, November and December just suck for me. I am finlly getting my divorce, and also had to get a restraining order on my ex. This is going to be baaaaaaaaad divorce I can feel it in my bones. He has a travel trailer and a truck and a mobile trailer on his one acre land. All I want is my divorce, full custody of our two children, child support, the restraining order, and to be away from my ex. I don't want spousal support, I don't want half of his land (even though he bought it while we were married) I don't want nothing to do with him. I will let him have visitation of the girls, but it is going to be supervised visitation because of his alcohol and drug abuse addictions, and he can't be trusted. I am planning on moving out of Louisiana this comming summer permenantly, and he doesn't like that idea because he will no longer have access to me then. A Busy Day
Ok here has been my day lol its been a gr8 day so i decided to share it with all y'all :D First i had a lie in this morning but once 9 am got here i woz up and made a few moves of chess :D Then wen my kids dad got back with Ryan (my youngest) i went to my local garage and fixed Ryans bike lol (he needed the seat and handlebars putting higher as with the training wheels) then wen i got back i re coloured my hair (only the roots lmao :D ) then i went out for the aftanoon When i got back i picked my other son (6yr old Patrick) from school and took him down to the park to learn how to ride WITHOUT training wheels :D and while we woz out had a lovely dinna at the diner in the park :D Then we had a lovely evening watching a movie .... wow now lol i think just about covers it :D

Let me start this by saying that I am a huge fan of the book, 'Bringing Down the House' by Ben Mezrich. I strongly recommend that book for anyone who has been curious about card counting. And in this case, the book version which is closer to the truth than the movie, I think is actually a better story. I didn't think the Lawrence Fishburne character added much to story. If they really wanted to make this into the cat and mouse story they could have, that would have been better if they really wanted to go down that path. Overall, I think it would make a decent rental of HBO movie, but if you are really interested in this topic, check out the book and breaking vegas shows on cable (I think A&E or the History Channel), much better coverage of the topic.

Another Year Gone.....
It's amazing what a difference a day can make... I turned 35 yesterday, not a major milestone but still another year gone. It makes me think back on how much has happened in the last year. The last year was full of ups and downs. Some worse than others, some better. On my birthday last year, I was in Texas spending time with Paul and meeting Chris for the first time. About a month later, Chris and I were dating. Had a good time at the Gathering, in spite of a few hiccups. On 4th of July, I had my party as always and even more friends showed up. Mom Gravely Ill
My mom has been in the hospital for 8-9 weeks now going back and forth from ccu to the regular hospital room to the rehab center and back into ccu. This time, she hasnt awaken yet since saturday, 3-29-08 and still unresponsive. Doctor said "be prepared" Me and my brothers contacted all family and friends about this and as i walked around my house, a few things saddened me a lot. 1. Her shoes and slippers she will never see again 2. Her pocketbook that i never went into, i may have to go in soon. 3. All her medicine will have to be thrown away. 4. All pictures of her grandkids she will never recognize or see again. All of theses small thing meant a lot to her and me and now reallity is going to take place and i have to be ready for this. Those are the reasons and then some why its a very sad day for me. I HOPE IM WRONG AND A MIRACLE COMES THROUGH. 4-4-08

Last weekend my nieces entered their turtles in the turtle race at the fair. They had had them as pets all summer and had been training them for the event. Award Banquet
I couldn't be prouder than a peacock for my ESL student Lan. We have both been asked to make a presentation speech for our annual awards banquet later this month. This is in addition to the presentation we made at the orientation for new teachers two weeks ago. She has worked hard to get to this point in less than two years. She has gone from not speaking or reading a word of english in 2000 to being tested in May and acheiveing nearly a 10th grade level in reading comprehension. I was told by my supervisor that she has only one level left in our program before she will have to seek help elsewhere if she wishes to continue studying english. We are looking for additional resources to help her continue. One option is to become a tutor herself but she is not that confident right now. That will come in time.

Memory Loss
I have severe memory loss that is coming back in little pieces that I have to put together to make sense of it all. It is difficult at times to understand and I often need the help of my family to fully comprehend. I had an overload in the middle of the night last night and I am unsure if they are reality or if they are dreams coming back to me. I asked my mom and she said that they are real and I freaked out because I can't remember them ever happening. It is hard to explain to people that have never experienced this before, but it is almost like you are walking around in someone else's body, not sure who you are or where you have been. So a couple weeks ago I went to one of my peeps house, got some things, n stayed the nigh. So I woke up at like noon new I had to take off, had to make it back across Tx dirty, so I left. Some of you may have been part of a mass delete yesterday, by a certain someone....naturally it was made out to be a joke, but that's not the case. This person has some issues with a select few people around here, including me. They think they can still have control over anyone that knows them. Skeptical? Yes i am,and why shouldn't I be I've been to a few sites. Not enough to be a so called expert but enough to form an opinion on them. We expect parents to be prime examples for how children grow and mature, and to be held responsible ( re · spon · si · ble ) for their actions until the age of which legal consent is obtained by our children. Responsible by definition : 1. Having an obligation to do something as part of a job or role. 2. Being the primary cause of something and so able to be blamed or credited for it.

Aggravated Ranting
So it is 10 30 at night, I just went and picked up my airboat for work tomorrow, went to start it up and nothing. So I started working on it and found out a floater is sticking, which was bound to happen at some point. But still, it is late at night, and I gotta have it in point aux chene at 6 in the morning and I need a carberator. All because I wanted to be lazy today since I got the day off, I am in a bind. I should have gone ahead and grabbed it earlier that way it could be fixed. Goshdarn procrastination. I'm passing out now. Maybe a magic monkey will show up in the middle of the night with one and fix it for me.
