Mom
Mom went to the lung Doc today. They told her and my oldest sister it was either lung cancer or an infection. They are going back in Feb to have another CAT scan and if it has grown they will do a biopsy. Her chances for cancer are high since her younger sister died of lung cancer. Maybe it's just me,but I don't get the waiting thing. Why not check it now and not months down the line? There will be no treatment for it,because she is to frail to survive that,but waiting makes no sense to me. Not my choice and I respect that.

I could have been a mom by now..,,twice but fate and medical science and poor health decided otherwise. I lost my real mom not so long ago but I am glad I am still able to celebrate Moms day 2010 with the mom who adopted me and took care of me ever since I was a baby. Love ya mom.

Her hands held us gently from the day we took our first breath. Her hands helped to guide us as we took our first steps. Her hands held us close when the tears would start to fall. Haven't done THIS in a long long time! Mom is out of hospital & in a skilled nursing facility for the time being.....let's see.....she had pneumonia, shingles & an infection in her blood. So....if I don't get to my daily rates, it's probably because I'm either at the nursing home, working or helping my daughter move, as she & her hubby split up! Alot going on in our lives right now but still thankful for life! Hugs & love to all!

I was hopitalized back in Febuary for awhole month come to find out i had a virus called sepsis and my mom is bitching saying Tim is the cause of the situatiom what fucking situation He did give me the dam virus its not contactable dam.Also She likes to judge dam people before She even gets tp know them that pisses me off bad.Also she is saying that prison is the same thing as jail it isent he is in jail and the dam envalope has the word jail on it no prison he isent sentence to there yet and wont be cause he fucking just got it for possesion of stolen property and breaking entry and assult shit.Everybody makes mistakes and hopefully learns from them.

A Mom And Her Teenage Son!
I woke up this morning, as usual I expected a fight from both of my teenagers, son 17 and daughter 13. We own 2 homes side by side and my son stays most of the time in our other home mainly when there is no school. But last night he did not return here, which was ok. All I have to do is walk next door and wake him up. Anyway, this morning he refused. He didn't want to go to school. Of course we had our mother/son banter on about why he should go and his view on why he shouldn't go this day. So yesterday, I was awakened at 6 am to the sound of a nervous sister and again at 6 30 am by a nervous brother. Well Saturday, November 10th we had Mom and Dads 50th Wedding Anniversary party down at my Elks Lodge. Was a ton-o-fun. Mom took a ride with a member on his Harley. Got pics to prove it. when Dad first met Mom all he had was a motorcycle. They rode every where till the first born, then Dad had to buy a car. So my Mom is a real Biker Mom from the 50's. We had a great time at the lodge. We watched a memories DVD dad and my sister made up. We got Mom and 3-tiered Cake. Decorated the Hall with as much 50th Gold Decorations as we could. There hasn't been much of a change. She's still confused most of the time. She pulls the tubes out at least once a day so far. Went to visit my mom and she is being released tommorrow in the morning. They did not take the other mass out yet and they are going to have her tested and see what it is. It was your typical summer's day. It was a the first Saturday since my son was out of school for the year and that meant one thing. He was going to get to go swimming. Since my husband had left, I was able to set the rules in the house, and one of them was no swimming until school was out. I was going out last night, and since it was cold I grabbed a jacket which I had not worn since early spring. As I put my keys in one of the pockets, I found a half eaten pack of Mentos. A Moment in the Laundry Room It had been a rough day. From the air-conditioner in my apartment breaking to the outside temperature of 97 degrees I’d had lost any will to keep my usually optimistic composure. I hadn’t been living here very long and it was just past my divorce papers arriving that this occurred. I was doing my usual Sunday laundry in my apartment building and was just discovering that there was a red pair of underwear in with my whites. A lovely pink shade was staring back at me and I felt like screaming and breaking something into tiny pieces. Since I could only blame myself, and wasn’t into self-flagellation, I stood there trying to maintain a small amount of restraint. A Moment Of Clearity
So there I was, sitting on the top of a hill that over looks 2200 acres of rolling farmland cascading graciously for as far as the eye can see. I'm sitting in a rocking chair on the porch of an old but gorgeous log cabin, circa 1840. The sun is floating downward as if on a slow moving chariot drawn by horses of nobiliy and I'm listening to a full band play to an audience of 5. There are deer off in the distance grazing in the twilight and further down the mile long driveway I can make out an eagle perched on the top of a well-kept rustic barn cuddling an overfilled pond. There is an apropos breeze teasing the leaves of near by cedars and when the band finishes each song, the silence screams. The scene becomes a water color painting as my eyes fill with grateful tears. My mom has been in the hospital for 8-9 weeks now going back and forth from ccu to the regular hospital room to the rehab center and back into ccu. This time, she hasnt awaken yet since saturday, 3-29-08 and still unresponsive. Doctor said "be prepared" Me and my brothers contacted all family and friends about this and as i walked around my house, a few things saddened me a lot. 1. Her shoes and slippers she will never see again 2. Her pocketbook that i never went into, i may have to go in soon. 3. All her medicine will have to be thrown away. 4. All pictures of her grandkids she will never recognize or see again. All of theses small thing meant a lot to her and me and now reallity is going to take place and i have to be ready for this. Well, I know that it has been a while since I have give an update on my mother in law. Things have been about the same for the most part, but a few weeks ago, she started having seizures. The doctors could not figure out why she was having them. She had 2 and it was over. The following week she had a mild stroke. No damage to her brain, thank goodness. Then yesterday she started seizing again. This time it was worse than the others. She was put on a ventalator. She was transfered 2 hours to Wake Forrest Baptist Medical Center in NC. For my friends and fans out there, mom is HOME! They discharged her late yesterday and I will be staying the night with her 3 nights a week. The night nurse 2 and my brother on weekends. My mom just got back from the doctors office...The mass in her lung is a blister...also called Interstitial Pneumonitis...it is left over infection of pneumonia...NOT CANCER!:-D It is treatable with antibiotics and strong decongestants....She will be on the medicine for one month...She goes back in 2 weeks for another CT of her chest.....so everything my way is copesetic...for now....relieved!:D Hope everyone is having a good day!:D

Today a little before 7am I got a call from my mom telling me to come pick up Mav so she could go to the hospital. I told her to just go that mav was 13 he could stay alone for a few min. so I can't help but think I came across as kind of bitchy in my mum about Alina's birthday. My sister and I do everything together practically every weekend...you think that this would be something that would be no different.
