So I have totally been inactive on CT which I guess is now Fubar. In the 8 months I have been back at school I have by far exceeded my own expectations. Lining up for 5 more classes this fall I should have my AA in another year or so. School comes first has been my mentality and with the workload I have received this summer from English and Math I have completely kept myself busy... haven't even been able to draw. The little spare time I do have has been going to my homies Kenny and Dub who are finally out of jail while they continue their trial. I had my surgery on my arm about 3 weeks ago, then about a week ago they had to go in a 2nd time because the staples got infected so they had to clean it out, so now....im on the road to recovery, been moving my arm and hand some, so odd having use of one hand, dont think I could ever get used to this, I really feel for people who are like this perm. My kids are doing as good to be expected, trying to get used to the fact that their gramma isnt here anymore, sill feels like a bad dream to me, havent fully grieved yet, so much going on with my arm etc....I'll be back when I can, miss u all....xoxox

Went to the bone specialist today, got my stitches out, everything looked good on my arm he said, only thing that wasnt was my xrays, still have a big gap between my bone, only thing holding it together is the plate and 6 screws that are drilled into my bone, go back to him Nov 24th, hes gonna see if my bone stimulator works, if not we have talked about the next step, which is for him to go back in (surgery) remove all the hardware, use a bone substance to fill in the gap between my bone (I broke my largest bone, the humurous)I pray the stimulator works, but at the same time I want this hardware out, hurts alot. Seems like I havent fully grieved over losing my mom, with all this going on with my arm, so crazy to think the 15th of this month she has been gone 4 months already :( please keep my family and myself in ur thoughts and prayers, tysm xox

I pray this year is a better one for me..thats for sure, I am having my 4th surgery on my arm next Tuesday The 6th my doc is removing the hardware, fusing the bone together, then putting new metal in to hold the bone together, then that hardware will come out for good in 2 months, arm will be back in a soft cast, the picc line I've gotten used to, the new antibiotic is doing me a world of good, can move my hand and arm more being on it, which is a huge bonus, been over 6 months since I broke my arm..I'm ready to get back to norm. I have also met the most amazing man on here..Dale, I came back to life, when he came into my life, I am a very lucky lady to be with him, hes caring, loving, supportive, great father..all around awesome man! Well The other day at work, I started having chest pains, sweating, dizzieness and a fainting type feelin' So, I went to the hospital After 2 EKG's, 1 CT Scan and 2 Things of Blood work done They concluded that it was'nt a Heart Attack or a Blood Clot in my Lungs Infact, they have no fucking clue what's wrong with me so, I have to see a Cardiologist on the 15th of July to find out but my memory seems shotty, I feel weak, light headed all the time .. this sucks .. 375-bar finale (Rondo: Allegro) to the 1840-or-so piano trio (no. 11, in A minor) by Carl Gottlob Reißiger (1798-1859) has now been transcribed from published score and collated from parts into a full-score PDF using LilyPond. Some tweaking still to do but the no more type 6 errors, bars missing (I think :) ), etc. Will load the whole PDF (380 kb) to my stash soon if you'd like to download it (will upload corrected versions occasionally, but this is basically it.) (Edit: since 2000 downloads in a month- fortunately not a likely number, though back when my site hosted AHA-AS-PDD, erf!...- will, I think, put me above my bandwidth limit, I may see if I can gzip it... probably not...)

Working on making a PDF of the Allegro second movement of Benjamin Frankel's symphony no. 6 (1969), using the program LilyPond (www.lilypond.org) (version 2.0.1, nothing more recent works with my machine and OS). So far: have of the flute 1/2, first violin, second violin, violas, cellos lines have 94 bars done (and nothing else for this movement. The first movement and third movement- out of five in all- are pretty substantially "transcribed" except for, well, a whole lot of retouching and a few lines- mostly percussion- not yet added- but are mostly done... I think... well, maybe "first or second draft" applies.) (Yes, I'm enjoying this a lot. The result of another such project, also not quite done, is the finale of a 1838(?) piano trio by Carl Gottlob Reißiger (1798-1859) (making him a near-contemporary of Franz Schubert, born 1797), the PDF from which is in my "stash" and some pages of which in various stages of progress are in my image gallery.)

I am still in waiting in limbo about the grant to recieve counseling.... I have met with my caseworker here, trying to map out goals and things, and the first thing of course is counseling so I can get my mind back straight, or at least attempt it. I have an appointment tomorrow to find out if they think my felony can be expunged, which in the long run would cost me $200 but would open a lot more doors for me. The felony was a drug charge from 2003. I am also gonna do an application to volunteer at the cop shop so it can take some of my time and I would be giving to the community... I hope that goes through, the lady mailed me the application today. Next week on the 4th is 6 years clean for me, I am very proud of that!! Not a whole lot going on in life right now besides the waiting in limbo so I can get a jump on that. I have been reading a lot, read 3 books in under 2 weeks and am on my 4th now, so thats a positive change for me :) Ok enough babbling!

Lina's Hospital Recovery
Just a quick note to bring everyone up to date. One day short of three months in Intensive Care, Lina was able to get well enough to be transported to a new hospital that specializes in long term rehabilitation. Here she will work on getting rid of her trach in her throat, speech therapy and getting her muscles to regrow. As of yesterday, her first day, she moved her neck a couple of times and her fingers on her right hand several times. She mouthed some words, but none of us could make them out. The new hospital is very nice and homey and less clinical looking, which will help her in the long run. She has a lovely window and a bed that actually faces a television (and vcr, she watched part of SINGING IN THE RAIN last night before falling asleep). She will be at this hospital for several weeks (I'm guessing about two months or more from what I could gather). She will then go to another facility for long term physical therapy where she will learn motor skills and finge

Firefighter Dies Fighting Harborcreek Fire Reported by: Karla Mullenax Tuesday, Apr 8, 2008 @05:02pm EST Firefighter Mike Crotty was killed today at the scene of a fire at Port Erie Plastics. Officials say a pipe that carries water up a tower truck broke off and fell on Crotty, killing him. The fire broke out at about 4:00 p.m. when a pile of wood and plastic pallets went up in flames. At the peak of this incident, flames and smoke could be seen as high as 40 feet above the building. Crews from several different fire departments around the area responded. No plant workers were hurt in the incident. Damage to the plant is said to be contained to the north side of the building. 250 employees who work at the plant have been sent home. My prayers go out to the family and friends of Mike Crotty. He died doing what he loved doing and he answered one last bell. He did his job and he did it well.
