He3: Just in case anybody asks ... It seems that there has been a breakthrough in "Fusion" technology. Unlike the current "Fusion" that requires a hydrogen reaction, to create "clean" energy, which creates damaging "neutrinos" that, because of the heat that is produced, can damage or destroy reactor walls. (A fusion reaction takes extremely high heat) There is a new technology that uses a substance called "Helium 3" which can be harvested from decommissioned nuclear weapons. The three crewmembers were able to reach shore without assistance; two are hospitalized, one sustaining serious injury in the crash. So, I've been on Lost Cherry for a few days, and I just noticed, after reading a blog from a friend, that you can blog on here. I was in a wonderful deep slumber when a noise outside my room woke me with a start. To my surprize a light had been turned on outside of the room. Soft footsteps could be heard slowly creeping down the hall. With each step, my heart rate increased. Why did I not just jump out of the bed and go out the window to safety? One of my sons serves in the military. He is still stateside, here in California. He called me yesterday to let me know how warm and welcoming people were to him, and his troops, everywhere he goes . But he also told me about an incident in the grocery store he stopped at yesterday, on his way home from the base. "Hellboy" makes his debut on the big screen! The film is based off the Dark Horse comic character about a demon from hell, trained by the government to fight the supernatural forces of the Earth. Along with his other two mutant friends, Hellboy fights the forces of hell. The special effects were good as expected, but the story was somewhat mediocre at best. However, "Hellboy" does serve as a palatable film for the family to enjoy. Although the visuals aren't going to be pushing the envelope of special effects, the visual effects' artists do a pretty good job for the film by animating all the demons and fire perfectly. Alas, the story, though, is mediocre at best. The film tries to make "Hellboy" into another X-Men film where Hellboy has to protect a world that both hates and fears him, and the love story was never fleshed out. The love story for Hellboy seemed like it was a bit rushed, and viewers never saw how the relationship started. However, despite this flaw, "Hellboy"

OMG, I SO need to blog for a minute to release some of my inner "cobwebs". Just wnated to write a blog, to get myself started, of course. :) Today, i got my hair cut, cause it needed it, and because Greg's sister needed a hair model for this new job (to demostrate her skillz!) so, i'm happy i got my dead ends all cut off! cause my hair was getting nappy. haha. Anyway, after that i went to my second job, and played with the kids. (My second job is this program at the elementary schools called "Adventure Club"...it's a before and after school daycare.)....it was pretty fun today...we made these paintings...with bats...and played bingo, and what not. it was great. I love playing halloween games with the kids...and we did that in the gym! :) They're so much fun, and sooo cute! Some of them are a handful, but i still enjoy watching them all. There are 51 in total! Anyway My first job (which i only work like 4 times a week)....is a waitress job at First Watch (it's a breakfast/brunch/lunch place)....open from 7-2:30. Soo, yea, that's kinda a little about me.

It's deployment time again here. The time when I find out just how weak or strong I am. The time when I question all I believe in. Last night was another one of those times. An EOD group from Ft. Carson spent Tuesday night here. They were hooking up with another EOD group from Ft. Stewart to all fly to Iraq together. Usually on deployments we don't get to spend much one on one time with soldiers. It's very hectic and they are in and out in less than two hours. We really don't get to talk and socialize much. But because the group from Ft. Carson had already done all the "official" stuff, like briefings etc. they were free to roam around and do whatever. This gave us four hours to talk to them. In this four hours one soldier and I became what I hope to be life long friends. He is the assistant to the Chaplain and it was his first deployment. I think his nerves had the best of him because for those four hours he was my shadow. Wherever I went he went..whatever I did he did. Including hel

This will bring a little Magic into your lives. I had a very sick little kitten that mother had abandoned. My decision on this was weather I should let nature take its course or try and give this little runt kitten a home. The logical thing to do was let the kitten die because its chances of survival were slim. My moral reasoning was to prevent this poor little kitten from starving and freezing to death. In the end my moral decision won out and I took the little kitten home. I nursed and feed it kitten formula though a dropper until little Magic was on solid food. Magic never meowed and never purred. I believe because she was abandoned before she learned these things. She did make little noises that sounded more human like then cat.
