It's been one of those 2 weeks and its still not over have 2 days to go. At the mo i am on Gateway to work and I DON'T LIKE IT, I DON'T WANT TO GO, but if i dont i dont get any money so have to suffer the living hell. Well it's not all that bad only Monday of this week was the worse day the IDIOT we had in did not have a clue on how to do a motivational course to 20 19 - 25 yr olds on how to get work and how you can improve your chances to get work. We already know how it's just where we live there aren't many jobs goin for peeps who dont drive and guess what non of us do, plus we live in the back of beyond so that does not help. So far i have sent 2 applycation forms and 15 spec letters, heard nothing from the applycation form jobs and had 2 letters back from the spec letters sayin that they have no positions available at the mo. Will I ever get a job. :(

I want to say Hello and much Luv to my blog readers. With the ride to the Redwoods over the time has come for me to head back to Florida. With my Harley loaded into my pickup I left from my Brother in Law's house up the 880 to I-80 east. What a drive it was driving up to Donner Pass, altitude 7200'. With just over 500 miles behind me I'm spending the night in Elko, Nevada. After a nights sleep I hope to make it past Cheyenne, Wyoming on Tuesday.

Ok, so here's the story. My best friend's brother and him moved to Alabama about 3 weeks ago. The brother has been in the hospital the past week. Was due to be discharged today. This morning at 9:30 am he called his brother and said to hurry up and get there they were trying to kill him. My friend arrived at the hospital,at 10:30 am to find his brother outside, slumped down in a wheelchair, with blood pouring from his mouth and arm. The nurses inside looked at him like he was crazy, but it was too late, Vick was already gone. This is about as much of the story as I got before the tears and hysterics started. I'll be leaving Thursday evening on a 15 hour car ride to get there, and try to help clean up this mess. Please keep us in your prayers.

I finally took a vacation. I shut off my work phone, I powered off my blackberry, and I did not log into my VPN access on my laptop to check in on my team and how they were doing. I packed the dog away in the car and drove off to visit my friends and family in Chicago. It was the pup's first road trip. It was refreshing and relaxing. I feel re-charged. I even had time to come on here and get caught up on everything! Today begins my long trip home to Florida... It's been a long time since I've been so relaxed. Headaches
I have had severe migraines for as long as I can remember. I have tried several different meds but nothing has worked. They often get so bad I have to go to my doctor's office/hospital and get a pain shot and sleep it off. I went to see my doctor last month when I had a migraine for a solid week and had taken three pain shots in three days and nothing would make this headache go away. They put me on Topamax 50mg twice a day to help with the frequency of the headaches (which hasn't helped) and Zoloft well because I'm not the most emaotionaly stable person. =D I also was scheduled for an MRI which showed no brain bleeds or abnormaliaties. I do have an appointment with a neurologist who specilizes in headaches on Thursday (1-10-08) so hopefully we can get a handle on this. Love to all my Fubar Family and friends

There is a difference but I will not argue with an expert specialist - and I do not mean that in a facetious manner either, just stating a fact. Aparently I have to phone him or email him to let him know that I had a seizure. Well I do not particularly wish to do that at present because for one he cannot really do anythoing about it and two we are going on holiday to India in under two weeks so I do not wish to go on any further medication at present. Morning, folks! Just listened to Morning Colors go down here in Norfolk. Time to get packing and head up to Ft. Lee. The Navy gave our group of 10 3 SUV's to haul all of us and our gear up there. Check out of the barracks at 11am this morning, and then we hit the road for the 2 hour drive. No barracks for us this time. We'll be living in high style at the Hampton Inn (woo hoo!). Classes start tomorrow and should go on for the next 3 weeks. I cannot imagine that it's going to take 3 weeks to teach us all about how the Army deals with fuel. Is there REALLY that much to learn? As of now, we're planning on a trip to the coast this weekend. We had originally planned for last weekend but changed it so we could have 3 days of fun and sun instead. This is getting totally rediculous now , I have been fighting a sever headache for over a month now and can't get rid of it . My family says it's stress but I am willing to disagree on that that point on certain degree, I only get them when I am around my roommantes family . I know this sounds rediculous. I care to differ the point, I don't get them till I am around her family and all . I can go to run errands aor I go to work I don't get them , maybe it is all in my head . It seems as of late there are more and more going wrong with my head . My husband and I had to leave our friends' farm and truly head for home today. We rode just under 400 miles and are resting in a comfy hotel right now. Tomorrow's goal is our oldest daughter's house where we plan to spoil our granddaughter as much as possible in the few hours we will be there. We rode interstate today and it was UGLY. I miss twisty farm roads but we are on the home stretch so from now on we are all about speed. We are in the midst of a heat wave so we're drinking a lot of water and stopping every 150 miles or so to stretch, eat, gas up, and rest a bit. 1 Bunch Broccoli Rabe 2 Cloves Garlic Finely Minced 1-2 Tablespoons Olive Oil 6 Ripe Plum Tomatoes Skinned, Cored And Cut Into Dice Salt And Pepper To Taste Red Pepper Flakes 500 Gram Package Of Your Short Pasta Of Choice Grated Parmesan Cheese To Serve (Optional) Begin by washing the broccoli rabe, and cutting it into 1 inch pieces. If the stems aren't too thick and woody, peel these and cut them also. Put a pot of water on to boil for the pasta. In a small saucepan, heat the oil and add the garlic. As soon as it sizzles, but before it takes on color, add the tomato pieces. Cook just until heated, and remove the pot from the burner. Season with salt and pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook the pasta in boiling water, and during the last 3-4 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli rabe to the pot. Drain both the pasta and broccoli rabe, keeping a small cup of pasta water set aside. A friend of mine has mentioned that he has recently learned that he has diabetes. He now has his head screwed on right after the after shock of the initial impact of the news; however, I did remind him that, just because he has diabetes, it isn't the end of the world. Both of my grandparents had diabetes and lived well into their late 80's, which if you are in your 40's now, it means that you have roughly another 40 years to go, at least!! Health Update: Test Results/new Diagnosis
Yep, yet another medical blog. But, that's the story of my life. If it's not one body part having issues, it's another! ;) Well, today was the day for my re-check with my GI doctor about the results of all the tests he did. Since I've been sick since November, it's quite obvious that whatever was going on wasn't going to go away on it's own. He had the chance to go over all my test results by now. The ultrasound did show gallstones, but at the moment that is the LEAST of my problems. My gallbladder, while screwed up obviously, is NOT what's making me stay sick. The endoscopy shows major signs of GERD (gastrointestinal reflux disease) which is no suprise since they diagnosed me with stress related ulcers wayyyy back when I was 14. But that's not the problem itself, just a "side-effect" of what's really going on. As fas as my GI system is concerned, I'm a freaking mess. Ok it has been no secert that I have been sick alot this year and I suppose some of you are being to wonder WTF. So here ya go First have asthma which I have had for some 24 years now for awhile it masked itself and the need for medications were not needed. But this year is different, perhaps it is the abnormal winter we had but I have had pneumonia twice... the last time being the worst. I have also been battle with anemia and a pretty severe b-12 deficency for which now I take large doses of iron and biweekly b-12 shots. So as I said in an earlier blog I am finally very happy. What really sucks about all this is that when I wasn't happy I was a very healthy person. Just one month after meeting Wayne I start having back pain. Went to the dr thinking it was a pinched nerve. Took xrays and gave me pain meds. Called and told me nothing wrong. Said then why am I always in constant pain? So sent me to orthopedic. He took more xrays and said I had arthritis in my back. Gave me some more meds. Sent me to physical therapy. Went back for 6 week follow up and still in lots of pain. Also swollen ankles and feet. Turns out one of the meds caused a reaction. Was sent to take mri and a nerve test. Nerve test not very fun. Yesterday I went to the doctor for my yearly physical. My blood pressure was high, my cholesterol was high, I'd gained some weight, and I didn't feel so hot. My doctor said eating right doesn't have to be complicated and it would solve my physical problems. He said just think in colors; Fill your plate with bright colors; greens, yellows, reds, etc. I went right home and ate an entire bowl of M&M's and sure enough, I felt better immediately. I never knew eating right could be so easy.

A Health Update
Well after my holiday visiting Dee, I decided to go to the docs because my legs were causing a lot of problems. I had an idea what it could be because I was getting certain symptoms but not all at once. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Not such a great shock. Then last week my eyes started to play up. At first I couldn't read anything, so a visit to the opticians found that I needed glasses. A pic is in my album if anyone is interested :) Everyone who has seen me in glasses have said they suit me, but i still feel like they are temporary, though i know they are for life. I supose i could go for contacts but to be honest I am happy with glasses. What are the benefits though, apart from not wearing glasses?

1 lb package of stew beef, thawed 1 - 2 bell peppers, chopped grapeseed oil brown rice 1 can Cream of Mushroom soup 1 cup sour cream 1/8 cup Worcestershire sauce garlic salt pepper 3 teaspoons ketchup butter Start rice 45 minutes prior to meal time. Begin by sautéing the peppers in Pam until slightly tender. Add meat cubes and cook until meat is slightly pink in center. Add garlic and sauté briefly. Add sour cream, Cream of Mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer until the rice is done. When rice is done, add 3 tablespoons butter and stir. Hello one and all. Yes you all know that I am still breathing. Many of you know that I went in today to h ave a couple of procedures done. They didn't find what they were hoping to find. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing just yet. On Tuesday I have to go back and have a YET ANOTHER test done. Hopefully this will give a clearer picture of what we are working with. They took biopsies today and the pathology won't be back on those until the middle of next week sometime. So far now this is all I know. And now you are up dated.

Yesterday I visited the doctors surgery twice. One in the morning to see about my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome problems. I have now been referred for decompression surgery at my local hospital. I have been informed that the waiting time for this kind of procedure should not be long. In this case I may well be looking at surgery before Christmas this year. The recovery time differs for each patient but I have been informed that for me this will be somewhere between two weeks and three months, quite a wide time-scale! From my point of view the sooner the better as I may be requiring time off work around this time. I have increasing problems with my arms so I would very much like to have my surgery and get back to normal now as soon as possible. Later in the day I saw my other doctor regarding my blood pressure. I had been suffering from a constant dry throat from August until the start of October. This was diagnosed as being caused by a water tablet which I take to accompany my bloo

So, as most of you know I've been battling a seriously severe headache for the better part of a month. It started with a pain at the base of my neck and spread to my forehead. Step 1 - Saw a GP, was told it was a sinus infection and given antibiotics Step 2 - Saw Neurologist, told it was a migraine and was given blood pressure meds and migraine meds. Still no relief. Step 3 - Went for MRI. Those are scary. Step 4 - MRI reveals abnormal mass at the base of my earbone next to my brain. Step 5 - Today I saw a specialist ENT who has determined that the "mass" is sitting on a nerve and that's what's causing the headaches. He gave me a cortisone shot IN THE FUCKING FOREHEAD. Let me tell you, that shit hurts. Gave me Imitrex, Ultracets, and Neurontin for pain and such, and decided the "mass" is one of 3 things. Either a -sever- infection, a cyst which will have to be drained, or a TUMOR. I get to go for a Cat scan next Friday. I'm sorta worried.

Also, I had an endoscopy done today to check for ulcers. Luckily, tht came back clear...so thts good...but I'm not out of the woods yet. I have been to my local hospital to see my consultant today for the first time regarding my carpal tunnel syndrome. I had various tests on my arms and hands, but I have been referred for nerve conductivity tests because my consultant could not say 100% that my problems are carpal tunnel related. There is a slight doubt that it could be caused by arthritis though even this he could not be sure about. I have been told that I will have to wait between 2 – 8 weeks for my latest tests, but would be able to have decompression surgery on my wrists if that what is needed fairly soon afterwards. My operations will not take place at my local hospital but in Hexham. This will mean that instead of travelling 2 miles, I will have to travel 25 miles for my ops. To be honest I am not bothered about the distance rather I would have them sooner than later.

Well I am not dying but might as well with a fucking diet. I went to the hospital on Friday to get copies of my medical records there so I can get the fucking referal to a military facility in Bremerton, WA. I looked at the information and I wasn't to pleased. My cholestrol is at 248/200 and my glucose was slightly only 5 points though. Some other numbers were abnormal but with the sheet not in front of me i cant think of them. So for now I cant have any more red meat, cheese, no beer. The last one I can live with surprisingly because I have retired my middleweight championship for some time. I drink from time to time maybe at dinner, but I can definitely live without booze. . .shock to me too. So no taco bell, no pizza hut. I did find out last night that Veggie Burgers aren't that bad. Just wanted to let all my friends know that I am having some very bad health issues. I Have had diabetes for about 25 years and it has not been very controlled. I am now facing kidney failure and may have to start dialysis and I will have to have a kidney transplant and possibly a pancreas transplant. I just thought that my friends here might like to know and I would appreciate any prayers and thoughts that neone might have. So in my city there has been an eruption of news stories for the past few weeks about malpractice in 5 different medical facilities. Apparently the head of these southern Nevada endoscopy centers has ordered staff to re-use needles and viles. There have been many cases of hepatitis and HIV reported following the investigation. At least one class action civil lawsuit has been filed thus far for second degree murder for a patient who died in 2006 due to a hepatitis exposure as a result of this neglegence however most people can't prove in court that their diseases were a direct result of this scandal. I moved here recently and am not affected by the outbreak but it seems like we as a community ought to grab a pitchfork and a torch and go to the mothref*cker's house who's responsible, drag him into the street, and publicly execute him. bruises are ugly. I am not very good at the whole "lay down and rest" thing. there is too much to be done. the house is not packed yet and I need to do some grocery shopping. well hair story again.. so i got more opinions on bleaching my hair.. and talked with one of my high school friends.. who is a hair stylist... she gave me a more professional opinion.. and i decided not to go that route.. bleaching ruins and kills your hair.. and i like my natural pretty hair as is..lmao so in order not to ruin my hair i didn't bleach it..instead my friend, the hairstylist, lightened my hair and did the pink..for some reason that turqoise would make my hair darker..so we decided to hold off on that color till later. pink came out darker than expected but i can live with that..lol just as long as my hair stays as healthy as she has been...lol i wanna do the colors but i'm not risking my healthy hair basically..lol so i'll take pics later when i'm in the mood:P ~dina

Health
I had a shock yesterday morning . Besides having a slight seizure , I also may have suffered a slight stroke. The funny thing is I never felt either one of them come on. I know I had been feeling tired and worn out , but I just kept on a going ninety to nothing and not slowing down any , This slowed me down a little but not all the way as of yet. I am still a bit drained from both of them as I figured I would be. I know my health at times isn't the greatest, but I am trying to improve it . I have alot of friends who are watching out for me and I appreciate it .

Health
I do know this much though , I need to slow my ass down. I must of pushed my body past the envelope last night and this morning. Part is my fault and part is my roommates fault , the reason I say this is because she thinks her medicines and health are more important than mine . I am on a seizure and chemical imbalance medication , at I have been out of for months and as usual I have to wait. And I have made myself so sick I am tired .

Healing Memories
How blessed are the good memories, Lord! In fact, I am beginning to see that my happiness can consist largely in the looking back. For that I an thankful, as I lay here, unable for the moment to be active.

Healing Failure

Health Update.
So a brief update on my status with the seizure. As of right now, I have had two tests done. An EKG, which was done at the time of my initial visit, and an EEG. I'm uncertain of the results of the EEG, but guessing normal as my doctor has not called me to tell me otherwise. In about 9 hours I have an MRI scheduled, and then I'm done with tests, unless something comes back, or my doctor decides to try and convince my insurance I need an MRA...it's an MRI that is focused on blood vessels as I understand it. For the most part my health is decent. I've had a few passing moments where I thought I might faint, but have had the good fortune not to. In all, I'd wager that whatever is wrong is probably a circulatory thing, but we will see.

Healing
They say time heals all wounds....I don't believe that....Physical wounds will heal in time...The bruises fade....The cuts become scabbed and healed over...But the wounds on the inside....only heal half way....It's the memories of cuts so deep that continue on with us....It's those wounds that define any relationship that you might be in after....If there even is one....
