The Calm Before The Storm
Right now I am all alone. Long Fork Campground is having its annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner at 4 pm. Guess who gets to cook? That's right, ME! It doesn't bother me. I enjoy doing things like this. I'm not sure how many people will be here, but there will be plenty of food. We are providing a ham and turkey, potatoes, gravey, dressing, and several other things. Our guests are bringing other dishes. Most of the time, that's a good thing. Just thought I would take this oppritunity to wish all my friends a Happy Thanksgiving.

Good morning. I have been watching the news and they are talking about a major storm coming! They are talking winds of 50 mph and rain and snow. They say expect power outages all over and to prepare for it. I guess it is going to hit us this afternoon and go through tomorrow afternoon? I hope we don't lose power like the last time. I've noticed a lot of late a rather menacing amount of anger perforating my brain. Small little things get in there and fester and all I can think about is tearing heads off. Easy, cheap, fat free, and super low calorie. Ingredients (use vegan versions): 1 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup sugar free applesauce 1/2 cup sugar substitute, to taste 1/2 cup water Directions: Spray 12 cup muffin tin and preheat oven to 350. Mix flour, soda, cinnamon and salt together. Add applesauce, sugar substitute and water, mix until just blended. Bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes or until tops have lightly browned. You could make these with soymilk and diced apples and nuts mixed in, but it will alter the calorie content (which is approximate). I have also made these with half a mashed banana instead of applesauce, but again, that alters the calories. (8 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese 1/2 lb. stick pepperoni (sliced lengthwise at deli) 1/2 lb. boiled ham 1 egg Roll out bread dough (approximately 12" x 12"). Mix and spread on dough: spinach, oil, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Layer on spinach mixture: pepperoni, boiled ham, Mozzarella cheese. 2010 Camaro Pics And Details Leaked.
GM has scheduled a media event for Monday afternoon to release Camaro details and show off the production car, but many of the photos and details were leaked today. Two of the engines have been confirmed. The V6 model will have the LLT 3.6L DI V6 from the Cadillac CTS pushing 296 horsepower. The 6.2 liter V8 SS model will be 416 horsepower. Both engines will feature cylinder deactivation when paired with automatic transmissions for increased fuel economy. Weight distribution is stated to be 52/48. Base weight given is a little over 3700lbs. It will have 4 wheel independent suspension stability control. Also giving quite a distinctive look is the blue LED instrument lighting.

Well its still got snow on the ground here in the greater Denver area. BUT! the grass is peaking thru the white stuff and the temps are in the 40s... CAMPING STARTS SOON! The camping trip was excellently relaxing, just what the doctor ordered. On the first day we got there and set up, the site was great and right on the lake. Then we went swimming and the water had to have been 70-80 and clear... very relaxing. I like just floating there and not having to hear any noise, stare up at the sky. Good day to all!! Well.....week one dow at Camp McCready. It's been a busy and eventful week. We had our "in Brief" last Sunday. Monday morning was gear issue and a few class room sessions regarding battle field care, radio communications, MEDIVAC procedures, and what not. Tuesday was weapons draw and then training on how to tear down and clean the M9 service pistol (Beretta 92S pistol) and the M-16A2 rifle. we also got to wear our "Battle Rattle" (Integrated Battle Armour or IBA) for the first time. Folks....I gotta tell you, I have a new found respect for my brothers in green after wearing that gear all week. My IBA weighs 62 pounds!!
