What A Week
What a week it has been for me and the weather. Last Friday night John's aunt from California came in for a visit, normally she is a really uptight kind of person, but this time, it was a good and relaxing kind of visit. She kindly paid for our dinner so we took her back to her hotel. The next morning, she treated us to breakfast and handed us grocery money, which also helped us out and get the food that we needed, we then took her to the airport for her to go back home. Later that day was my grandma's 86th birthday so we went there and had a wonerful time. The weather has been great, no rain, just some cloudy skies that cleared up and so we been having 70-80 degree temperatures, but i keep even cooler in my apt with the ac on.

What A Long Day, But It Was Good.
Finally my semi-annual physical exam is over with, it seemed to have taken a lot to get it done, but, I am not complaining. Just for those that don't know but I am sure it can be guessed, all branches regularly test their members in certain phases of physical exercises which plays a factor in their ability to advance or stay in. For the Navy, it consists of four parts, Part 1 is a sit-reach (you sit on the ground and touch your toes without bending your knees) and yes, there are some that have trouble, in case anyone was wondering if that would be difficult. We all have some shortfalls. Part 2, is sit-ups (and there is a certain way your partner can hold your feet and other little rules). Part 3 is push-ups, (likewise there are certain rules that apply here as well) and then the beloved 1.5 mile run in a pre-determined amount of time. What A Morning
Well hmmm where ever shall I begin. It all started about 5 am , I had just got off of the net and was about to go to the rr one last time. What Memorial Day Is
I wanted to take a minute and say a piece of my mind. I think that its great that people are partying this weekend. But what bothers me is that we have lost the real meaning of what today is. Memorial day is a day for us to remember the fallen soilders who have given their lives to protect our country. This hits home because I lost a very dear friend nearly a year ago to the war in iraq. I'm not bitter because he gave his life to save another. But I would like to see people at least stop and say thank you to a soilder who fought for or rights and the rights of others and came back home. I would also ask that you pray to your higher power of choice for those that didn't make it home. I write this in memory of a great man that gave his life and didn't come back home to his loved ones. I get a funny feeling, it comes from deep inside. I get all mad and angry, wanting to go and hide. A doctor calls it depression, my dad says it's just me. What's For Dinner Tonight Kidd-o's
BEEF TIPS AND NOODLES 2 lb. roast beef 1/2 c. & 2 tbsp. Crisco 1 c. flour 3/4 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. black pepper Cut up meat into 1-1 1/2 inch cubes, about 4 cups. Put flour, salt and pepper in plastic bag. Put meat cubes in bag and shake. Melt Crisco on medium heat in a large skillet. I use an iron skillet. When Crisco is warm, put meat in skillet. Brown all the meat cubes. When meat is browned, take skillet off heat. Take meat out of skillet, leaving the grease. Put meat in a small dark roaster pan (11 x 7 inch). Put 6 tablespoons flour from the plastic bag in the skillet. Put back on medium heat and brown flour slowly until it is dark brown. Pour this in the roaster pan with the meat. Pour 3 1/2 cups water into the skillet and then over the meat. This will finish getting the browned flour out of the skillet. Cover with lid and cook in oven at 350 degrees for about 2 1/2 hours or until meat is tender and gravy is thick. Serve over noodles. Yumm-O

Hi all, Man it has been a Monday and a half. Last night was a rough night for me. Kyle was up and down after midnight, then was up and ready to go at 5 am!!! Asian Beef & Vegetable Stir-Fry 1 1/4 pounds boneless beef top sirloin steak, cut 1-inch thick 4 cups assorted fresh vegetables, such as sugar snap peas, broccoli florets, bell pepper strips and shredded carrot 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 cup prepared stir-fry sauce, preferably sesame-ginger flavor 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper 3 cups hot cooked rice 2 tablespoons unsalted dry-roasted peanuts (optional) 1. Cut beef steak lengthwise in half, then crosswise into 1/4-inch thick strips. 2. Combine vegetables and 3 tablespoons water in large nonstick skillet. Cover and cook over medium-high heat 4 minutes or until crisp-tender. Remove and drain. 3. Heat same pan over medium-high heat until hot. Add 1/2 of beef and 1/2 of garlic; stir-fry 1 to 2 minutes or until outside surface of beef is no longer pink. Remove. Repeat with remaining beef and garlic. 4. Return all beef and vegetables to pan. Chicken Vegetable Crockpot Recipe Ingredients 1/2 onion 8 cloves garlic 1 plum tomato 1/2 cup water 3 pounds boneless chicken breasts 1 bay leaf dash pepper tsp minced garlic 1/4 cup olive oil 1 Tbsp basil 1 zucchini 2 lb bag of broccoli / cauliflower / carrots Directions Cut up the onion, cloves and tomato into bite sized pieces. Mix them and the water in the bottom of the pot. Cut the chicken into quarters and add in. Mix in a bay leaf, dash of pepper, minced garlic and olive oil. Let sit for 4 hours on high. Add in zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots as desired. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook another 90 minutes. Note that if you want, you can add water and cream of chicken soup at the end to make it more of a 'rich chicken soup' than a stew! Makes 8 servings YUMM-O

What A Monday
Hi all, how are you all doing on this monday?? I am doing pretty well despite not getting to sleep til after 5 am. Preheat oven to 425°. Heat a large skillet over high heat. Cook hamburger until no longer pink, about 5 minutes per batch. Transfer hamburger to a colander set in a bowl; let fat drain off and discard. 2. Add 1/4 cup water to the skillet, scraping up browned bits with a wooden spoon.
