Recently a drum forum buddy of mine was called up and leaves soon for Iraq. There was a guy there bashing away about the unrighteous war and the thousands of kids and women killed and how the United States has blood on their hands. Remember now I am from Canada. So my friend's 12 year old son loved to come swimming in our pool, BUT, he can't swim. I enjoy reading history and war seems to be a big part of the human trail. I suppose we all have our views on the activity and some can say some wars are justified. But is any first strike morally justified especially if we can't truthfully proove the reasons for the first strike before we attack? Anger, Rage, Turmoil and pain, the constant feelings that plague my brain. Darkness, Confusion, Despair and Stress, these things, they control me, my life is a mess. Lies, Deceit, Manipulation and Greed, through these things i obtain what i need. Secrets, Shame, Drugs and Drink, these things dictate the way that i think. I am tired of people bashing the war in Iraq. What I hate even more is how people say that this war is about oil. It's not about oil. We are back in Iraq to finish what we started in the first Gulf War. We've been attacked by terrorists. Still beaten soul and furious heart, blood lust for ages and cold steel hand. Death to the righteous but honor the fallen, price is pain and reward never-ending.
