Thanksgiving Turkey
Last year at Thanksgiving, my mom went to my sister's house for the traditional holiday feast. Knowing how gullible my sister is, my mom decided to play a trick. She told my sister that she needed something from the store and asked if my sister wouldn't mind going out to get it. When my sister left the house, mom took the turkey out of the oven, removed the mixed stuffing, stuffed a Cornish hen, and inserted it into the turkey. then re-stuffed the turkey. She then placed the bird(s) back into the oven. When it was time for dinner, my sister pulled the turkey out of the oven and proceeded to remove the stuffing. When her serving spoon hit something, she reached in and pulled out the little bird. With a look of total shock on her face, my mother exclaimed, "Barbara, you've cooked a pregnant bird!" I had the day off yesterday so I went to go check my mail on Myspace, I don't really get on as much as I use to because off work and being so tired so it was nice.. I decided to check out LC that I had been hearing about, after signing up for it you can do so many more things on here then you could with Myspace.. I knew about the red light on cars, but not the *77. It was about 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon, and Lauren was driving to visit a friend. An UNMARKED police car pulled up behind her and put his lights on. Lauren's parents have always told her never to pull over for an unmarked car on the side of the road, but rather to wait until they get to a gas station, etc. Lauren had actually listened to her parents advice, and promptly called *77 on her cell phone to tell the police dispatcher that she would not pull over right away. She proceeded to tell the dispatcher that there was an unmarked police car with a flashing red light on his rooftop behind her. The dispatcher checked to see if there were police cars where she was and there weren't, and he told her to keep driving, remain calm and that he had back up already on the way. Ten minutes later 4 cop cars surrounded her and the unmarked car behind her. One policeman went to her side and the others surrounded the car behind.

Most people on here just add friends simply to gain rank and points but if anyone actually gives a crap... I locked all my photos (with exception of one) of myself and friends into FRIENDS ONLY galleries. Today someone took it upon themselves to rip one of my photos (one of me in uniform, when I was in the Navy) without MY PERMISSION and now has it as their only photo in their gallery. This not only ticks me off but makes me wonder why they would choose that photo. Two years ago, I had an incident with this girl who stole all my pics from SWYDM.com, a dirty rating/dating website and pretended to be me on myspace.com, ratemybody.com, ratemyface.com, hotornot.com, thedilly.com, and many other sites... The scary thing is that she used my last name (which is very obscure, the only ppl I know that have it are related to me) as the log on name. I just wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for my Grandmother's death. I really appreciated it. I took a 10 hour bus ride with my 3 yr old last week to get up to Cleveland, Ohio to go to the funeral. I didn't do so great, but it was a really nice funeral. I think Grandma would have been pleased with it. It was also so nice to get to visit with all of my family while I was up there. I did end up falling after the burial on the edge of the sidewalk and seriously spraining my ankle, so I came home on the bus with crutches....btw....I don't recommend doing this! lol It is so great to be home, and I will try to catch up with everyone as soon as possible! Thanks again to all who sent their love. It really meant a lot to me.

If you see someone wearing a Veteran's hat, a shirt with his/her Navy ship on it, or especially someone in uniform etc, take a second out of your day to stop, thank them for what they have done and shake their hand. These are all typical holidays in which you attend either a family or friends dinner. Is it just my family or me that anytime these happen that it's never what you really want. I imagine a real nice sit down dinner or heck it doesn't have to be nice you just all have to get along. So, I was pondering if I should write a blog and if so, what about. I read bulletins and blogs on here and I read a lot of jokes, complaints, rules, patriotic items, and lots of stuff in between. I love Thanksgiving. Guess what? It almost is Thanksgiving. It is the day in the year that my entire family stops whatever mischief or work they are doing and converge at one lucky family's house. The toddlers all end up in the floor in the kitchen, tripping the adult ladies fixing the food. The men, of course, somehow, end up in the family room in front of the biggest television we can find with ESPN or some football game on. It makes me wonder if that was what Thanksgiving was like the first year. Were the men resting and telling stories around the fireplace after a day of hunting turkeys or deer in the nearby forest, while the women fixed the biscuits or bread? I know from countless childhood reunions that my family was exactly like that. The men were still cleaning the deer one year in the garage from that week's hunt, and the women were fixing the pies and the breads in the kitchen. Well here I sit reading blogs about how people are spending their Thanksgivings and where they are going or not going and a thought occurs to me that maybe I should share what I'm doing. The holidays have become a little different for me now that my parents have died. I was planning on just having dinner with me and my children since,I didn't really have anywhere to be until my brother called yesterday. I had wanted to invite him, his wife and son over because I knew he just had major back surgery but I just didn't know how to ask. Now, that statement may seem strange to some people so let me try to explain things. First of all, my dad comes from a huge family and my grandpa used to demand that the family show up at gatherings. Whether it be for a family reunion with the extended family that immigrated here from Germany after Texas became The Republic of Texas or just his kids at Christmas time. So I had a pretty good Thanksgiving, ate a lot of course. Which brings me to my next point... I went to my other grandmother's house to visit and happened to look up at a picture she had of my brother and I. It was taken awhile ago, like when I was 16 and a size 1. So here's how my Thanksgiving went down. I came over to my folks' house, but only the dog responded. It turned out that they were in the back garden. Once we had met up, Mom "directed" me and Dad in preparing those portions of the meals which we had not previously prepared yesterday. Some of the family arrived before the hors d'oeuvres were ready, but this possible setback turned into extra assistance in the kitchen. Okay so i had to celebrate thanksgiving 3 TIMES!! The first thanksgiving took place at my moms around noon. My mom was really peeved because noone else showed up and/ i only ate a half of plate of food but thats because I knew what i had to do next. I just got back from a lengthy trip to see the relatives in another state last Monday, so this week has been playing catch-up. I am behind on my blogging, but that isn't as important as catching up on emails. I can't believe that I got 293 emails in my personal email account. It takes me almost 3 hours to read all my emails. Most of it seems to be junk mail. I am currently looking at getting a job or two for some quick Christmas cash...anyone got any ideas. I already have some work at home going on. I am so thankful that my recovery has gone so smoothly and quickly. Throughout my bout with Bell's Palsy I talked to many many people that has had it or knows some one who has had it. It is far more common than I ever realized. As some of you might know, there is no rhyme nor reason to it. It can aflict anyone at anytime. I think my total time of facial paralysis was close to 2 months. I've heard some say it lasted a couple of weeks to some that said theirs lasted 6 months or longer. So, I consider myself fortunate for only suffering 2 months. There was a lot of pain involved and there was a lot of mental anguish as well. I honestly wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. I've also heard it can reoccur too. I'm not looking forward to that day if it ever comes. There's really no treatment, just pain control and possible symptom control. It basically just has to run it's course. Ugh. I am at about 90% usage of my face now. I can smile again - YAY! But I can't blink my left eye indep

For those that don't know, my brother passed away the day after Thanksgiving after a long illness. We had to take him off life support and were able to be at his side as he took his last breath. I just wanted to say Thank you to all the people that sent me get well wishes. To be told you have to have blood is not the most comforting feeling in the world and then to be in a hospital room where you can’t move and to have people take care of you and you have no control over your body functions because you are so doped up is downright embarrassing. My blood level only went up to 10 from 8. So I have to take iron pills twice a day for two weeks and then I have to go back for another checkup to see if I my levels are going up or if I need to be admitted again. I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone that voted for me. I came in 2ND PLACE....which is totally cool. I won a pair of diamond earrings :) Plus I was only 30 votes away from 1st place. Once again I have seen something hear that makes me proud to be a member of the military. It’s all (of you) the people who support US the troops that are the real heroes. If it just saying a prayer for those who are in harms way or who do more such as the one who sent this to me. As a member of the armed forces (US) I salute you all. It is you who let US the troops know that we do have the support we need at home to do the job that we must do. As for me I don’t care what branch of the military your in you are my brother or sister. We all need to remember that right now it US united and all the other stuff doesn’t mean anything, and when there is peace then we can have our (This branch is better than that). I know that there are those out there who don’t agree with what’s going on in the world and that’s fine but even you need to support the troops because it them the troops who give you the right to disagree. RECEIVED AS AN EMAIL.....ENJOY!! Last year at Christmas time, my mom went to my sister's house for the traditional holiday feast. Knowing how gullible my sister is, my mom decided to play a trick. She told my sister that she needed something from the store and asked if my sister wouldn't mind going out to get it. When my sister left the house, my mom took the turkey out of the oven, removed the mixed stuffing, stuffed a Cornish hen, and inserted it into the turkey... then re-stuffed the turkey. She then placed the bird(s) back into the oven. When it was time for dinner, my sister pulled the turkey out of the oven and proceeded to remove the stuffing.
