50 Car Pile Up In Lakeland, Fl On 1-4
LAKELAND, FL -- Authorities say at least three people have died in a 50-car pileup on Interstate 4 Wednesday morning. Nearly a 15 mile stretch of I-4 in Polk County is closed right now. Officials say thick smoke from nearby brush fires and fog made for hazardous driving conditions which may have played a role in several crashes. There are several crashes in Haines City, Polk City and near Lakeland. In the 50 vehicles pileup, officials say more than a dozen of the vehicles semi trucks. There are also overturned tankers on the road. Westbound I-4 is closed at U.S. 27. The eastbound lanes are closed at County Road 557 which is just northeast of Lakeland. Video from the scene shows several burned out semi trucks and dozens of other vehicles scattered across I-4. Several medical helicopters are continuing to land nearby to help victims. So I popped the question on Jan 4th 2008. I took her to the restuarant where we had our very first meal together. Update On My Pissed Offness Last Night
Well, sooo, ok, like, I was whining and bitching, and was gonna just go to bed, because, god... i was so freaking mad. And he called me, after like, two hours... and, that didn't do much good really... so we hung up... then I was going to go to sleep and was like, "ummmm" duh... my work clothes were at his house.... I'll be on and off sporadically because for the time being I'm stuck with my parents' computer. My monitor's been going for a few months, but yesterday we had a power failure and it's not working at all now. Fought with it all yesterday afternoon. Going backwards to go forwards again. That is what happens when you run before you an walk. 20th December 2007. Well, it is agreed and a relief really to know what a seizure will be like. This was something that had worried my Husband because he had no idea what would happen if and when I had a seizure again. It was a seizure and my husband had, unbeknown to me, recorded the part from my last black out, which I was unaware of. Following an appointment with my Neurologist it has been confirmed that it was an epileptic seizure due to how my eyes were. They seemed strange on the video when I looked at it and there was the abnormal breathing, if you could call it breathing. It was more like gasping and spluttering. Yet I remember doing that breathing but was unable to actually stop doing it. It seems that following surgery the course of a seizure can indeed change. A sad day but then reality is a good thing to check anyone. 14th December 2007 It is not a nice to admit but today could have been the first seizure in 20 months. I am not sure but my husband thinks it was although he was not present all of the time. If it was then everything has changed which is maybe what does happen, however I have no way of telling what it was like for other people in the same position when they had their first seizure after surgery. I was in the kitchen and heard my husband saying that our neighbour was walking down the drive. As I had a book to give her I called to him and asked him to bring me a copy. I went to get the undelivered card for her and opened the door. I remember her saying that she felt like Santa Claus so I told her that I had a present for her and as my husband did not come I went to fetch it. A possible earbashing. 28 November 2007. I thought it would not get better but it seems that since having my ears cleaned in India the irritation caused by the sound of rustling plastic bags in the ears has eased off. It has not totally disappeared but it is certainly easier to put up with. A gentleman who had trained for 23 years in the art of cleaning ears spent a long time cleaning mine out whilst I sat on the sunbed on a beach in Goa. He worked hard for his money and everyone was entertained by the site of a man sticking a very long needle into a woman's ear. Whatever they thought it worked and my hearing has improved and the sound of silence is not so irritating so I do not need my MP3 on all the time now. At last I am me again 17th October 2007. 1 year & 5 months after surgery. At last I am me again. Since Friday I have not been aware of barometric pressure changes so it is like being free again. Free to think and do anything, at anytime rather than when a period of static pressure allows. Also my focussing has normalised so I can tolerate something in my near vision whilst looking at something distant. Somethings, I am pleased to say will never change. For instance the confidence has not been erroded and I still no longer feel fear in the pit of the stomach. Instead of getting deja vu I just get deja jour, like I have lived through this day before, not through routine but down to the outside situation of the air and weather. It is hard to describe and not unpleasant. I have just overcome the speaking before thinking problem because that had, on occasion, landed me either in someone's black books or caused me embarassment if it was written and posted. 10 Aug 2007 A relief but an inconvenience non the less. 10th August 2007 It is now August and still no seizures so that is coming up to 1 year and 3 months. However whilst tramping around London we went into a restaraunt and I had what was thought by the owner to be a panic attack. Husband had left me alone and gone off shopping. I suddenly felt very strange like a feeling of great dread and the next thing I knew the owner was telling me to breathe slowly and relax. I was on the floor and a little perplexed. At this point husband returned thinking the worst, that I had had a seizure. The owner said not and two kind ladies at the next table told him they had sat me on the floor because I was shaking and trembling whilst sitting at the table. It was a hot day, we had walked miles and I was a little tired prior. However, I ate lunch when it finally arrived and then we dashed off the the station for the train home. Finally out of the clouds. 24th July 2007. At last there is a way around everything. The way to abolish the cotton wool or War Wound Syndrome is simple. All that is required is to have my MP3 play at almost full blare in the ears and the sound waves seem to dissipate the fog so life goes on as normal. Why the noise should clear the fog is another of life's mysteries because I am not a scientist and would not know where to begin looking. Certainly there are more important things to do than try. It really does not matter anyway. The rare headaches, which are more tension ones are easily removed using acupressure on the back of the skull - this was shown to me by my Reiki Master. Therefore now there is nothing left to heal on the physical plane. Everything else remains perfect so I am happy to have overcome these last obstacles

If I knew then what I know now then I would still have had surgery. 21 July 2007 OK. I am having the best time of my life now and it is only due to having the surgery. It has enabled me to do just as I please and with the added bonus of giving me the confidence to carry it out. At present I have not had a seizure so that is one year and three months now. Wonderful. Nothing seems to really bother me and in fact except for the war wound syndrome everything is fully healed. I appreciate so much more now and notice so much more oh but the only problem is with word recall and face recognition and maybe a little short term memory problems but these are not due to surgery because mostly these have actually improved from before surgery and were not connected to the seizures. It was all due to a problem in infanthood which is noted in the first entry and not due to suffering with epilepsy. An epic Mile Stone - Mill Stone finally gone 21 June 2007 Today I thought it worth noting that finally my book arrived from India. All that is needed is for me to ask my dear neighbour to proof-read it yet again and then all will be underway. There is not much to add except that I am still fit free which is one year and two months so that is pleasing, in fact wonderful and worth any inconvenience that may or does occur. They being that I cannot stand anyone standing and fiddling or rather fidgeting to the right hand side of me nor the sound of rustling plastic bags. Also I remember now having had the letter back from my Neuro-psychologist that I said I was having focussing problems. This is so but not bad. It is just that I cannot put up with something in front of my right eye when I am trying to do something at a hands distance, like washing food in the sink with the mixer tap in my way or field of vision. I do not sleep more than six hours a night but it has done no harm,

Feb 2007. A Surgical Update.
28th February 2007 It is time for an update. So here we are 44 weeks after surgery and now 100% again. It helped having a holiday in Goa two weeks ago and a holiday I will never forget. It was the best one ever had, everything just went like clockwork. I had many Indian Head Massages from people who knew what they were doing that is. One was a barber and the experience in the barber's chair was the closest anyone could say they came to making love legally in public with a perfect stranger. It was uplifting. The beach massage left me floating and the masseur had been fully trained in Bombay. So not only did he have the gift of the third eye he also knew all about the Chakras, meridians, how to do reflexology and how to massage a head avoiding the areas that needed avoiding without being asked. A Lonely Road It was an early spring day, when Jenny decided to skip work and take a long drive in the country. She had been really busy at work lately and felt she deserved a day to herself. A few months back, she had bought a convertible, she was eager to put the top down for a relaxing day of driving some back roads. All she had known for the last 8 months, was just the freeway and downtown traffic. She puts on shorts and a sleeveless top and tennis shoes, then headed out the door. At the edge of the city, she stopped off to fill up and grab a map. Once she was about 50 miles out of the city, she took the next exit she came to. The map said it was a scenic highway for about 60 miles or so. She pulled over and put the top down, tucking the map under the other seat belt, so it would not blow out of the car. I will try to keep this short and sweet, but I am wondering what the hell is wrong with me. For the last 2 1/2 years I have been dealing with kidney problems. At first everyone including my doctors were thinking the stones were being caused by my pregnancies. Now I'm 8 months post and still having severe kidney pain to the point I still need Percocet once or twice a week, which I hate taking!! Now we see there are no stones in there and the docs are looking at me like I'm faking it. I'm bitching at them to do more tests and to find out wtf is wrong and they still look at me stupid. Trip To The Er
Well, I just spent 2 hours in the ER tonight. My brother came and took my because my fever was 101 to 103 and I had blurred vision and balence problems. It was not fun to say the least. They drew blood and started an IV (I hate needles!!!!!). I lucked out because they were talking about admitting me but then decided that they could send me home with meds. Thank God! I hate staying in hospitals too. They decided that I had an inner ear infection adn that I could not work tomorrow. (That part doesn't bother me) :) Well, I just wanted to share my awesome day! Calling In Sick
Calling in sick to work makes me uncomfortable. No matter how legitimate my illness, I always sense my boss thinks I am lying. Well some of you are aware of the troublesome bitch of a ex-girlfriend I am involved with because of my son Daniel. Well back in November during a custody exchange I was accussed of threatening her with 'getting my tire iron and using it to get to her'. On the following Monay morning I was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff's Department at around 715am. She knowing did this in an attempt to have me arrested in front of our son. Fubar? The Anti-myspace Perhaps?
Stumbled into this site Googling something, I can't remember what. Said what the fuck, why not set up a profile. Never been a fan of Myspace and the "Happy Hour" idea of Fubar fits me a wee bit better. It's been an eventful few years. Bought a dumpy condo, rehabbed it and sold for a tiny profit with my then fiance in 2005; got engaged an subsequently married in 2006 and found out there was a 3 week old bun in the oven on the honeymoon. My Crazy Dog
My dog Sammy is a nut, he is 5 months old and weighs 52 lbs. Something is seriously wrong with him. He runs around the house all day like a retard. Copper Bottom Pots
So here goes another dumb blog. I am very Anal about my cooking utensils. I hand Hone all my stainless knives every week and I resharpen every month. For those of you that dont know, you should re-hone your knives before every time you cook. Use the Honing rod that came with your butcher block, that's right it is not a sharpener it is a Honer. Use a 22 degree angle and do 3-4 strokes on each side. So I will cut to the chase. I will only cook on copper bottom pots. The problem is they get dull fast. The copper doesn't stay shinny for long, I dont care how much you paid for your set. I was using Never dull and Brasso to keep them looking new but those cleaners smell like shit and they give your wrist a work out. Today I found the solution, Wrights copper cream. This stuff works!!! instantly transforming your tarnished copper pots into shinny new pennies..LMAO Can you tell I am bored yet? Seriously this stuff works. Entertainment by DJ Selene DJSelene Underdog Review If you grew up with the Underdog cartoon like me this is a film that if you haven't seen yet you should. Underdogs new Millenium makeover is well worth the time it takes to watch it. Full of quirky humor from beginning to end this movie had me doubled over with laughter. As we watch the adorable beagle Shoeshine(voice by Jason Lee) come into his own and save the day we might even learn a few things about ourselves and even approciate superhero taglines sometimes make themselves. Personlly I would love to kiss the casting director. Kudos this cast works perfectly for this film including Jim Belushi as the harried father and Patrick Warburton (Voice ofCronk in Emperors New Groove) as the bumbling side kick to the evil Sinister as portrayed by Peter Dinklage (Ally Mcbeal) is seemless and sublime. Voices of some of the other dogs include Brad Garret ( oh you know this one) and Amy Adams ( i have no clue but sounds familiar).

Childhood Cartoons
I miss the days of waking up early every Saturday to watch cartoons while eating donuts or a big bowl of lucky charms. Cartoons aren't the same these days. When I was 8, in my school it was cool to collect pencils. They had this vending machine out in front of the cafeteria that sold them two at a time. That's where my lunch money went.. These weren't ordinary pencils, they had things printed on them. Sometimes it would be sports teams and sometimes it would be Atari games and sometimes it would be 'funny' trucker sayings. I got addicted to this and at one point, I was skipping recess and telling the teacher I wanted to clean the blackboard - but instead of doing that I would steal everyone's pencils from their desks. Day 2
Today went as well as yesterday! I again got a very late start (up too late posting on fubar I guess). Plus a few other little projects around the factory that needed attention first. Now, without a body.... there's not much left to the car. Four bolts and the engine and trans. come off together. I used the forklift (yes, backyard again) seeing as how there isn't an engine hoist... yet. Plopped it on the ground with some support, then started making the comparisons. The new powder coated frame is off of a '61. Still a C1, but of course, a few minor changes from the previous models. Some for the better. I'll also have to make some modifications for the roll cage. Because the front took such a hard hit, the front cross member bent, which is also the part you suspend the control arms off of. Dealing With Cancer
A few years ago my Mother was diagnosed with Non-Hodgekins Lymphomia (probably didn't spell it right..who cares). My mother is my best friend, this news was really hard for me and my little sister to hear. Dealing with it has been an emotional rollercoaster. Every year we hold or breath, waiting for test results, has it grown any more or is it still a slow prgression or is it getting faster. For those of you that don't know, this type of cancer has no cure and it never really goes into what most refer to has remission. It is either slow growing or fast growing. Now I'm not looking for sympathy or anything like that. Just needed to write this down and share a little. After six years with this, my father was diagnosed with Lung cancer and three months later he died. As all of us (family) were with him when he tok his last breath, that was the absoult worst day of my life. But to tell you the truth, I would not trade those last few moments with my Dad for any thing in this world

Day 1
Day 1: So, after a few trips to Switzerland, I got sick of looking at my boss's 1956 Corvette, sitting on a lift in the garage, not having been touched since it was crashed in a race over two years ago! Background: My boss's first race car. Hit got hit at about 85mph. The frame is bent, body cracked up real bad (It's all fiber glass).... Well, put it this way. The motor shifted over about three inches.... Got to love racing. He walked away. To continue, on my last trip I found out he had another frame sitting in his other garage! I pulled it out of the rafters, stripped off the remaining parts, and sent it out for powder coating. Now the project begins. It took longer to clean off the three inches of dust that had accumulated than to get the car prepped for "separation". I figured out a way to suspend the body from the ceiling (I know, kinda backyard), then lower the frame, engine, trans, and pretty much everything else on the lift. Very surprised to find I didn'
