How To Give A Cat A Pill 1. Pick up cat and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. reflection is one of my most favorite pass times... and I have reflected upon the last year with a smile upon my face as the new year is off to a good start. Tis time to part ways with people I have collected. People i find important to me but have had very little contact with. A good portion of the lack of communication is my own fault. Week From Hell
I am sitting here here reflecting. This week was sent to me as torture. First off I am sleeping too much and feel as if i am not sleeping enough still. I talked to my dr and it turns out i have lost weight and i was advised to go on mega strong vitamins. The excessive sleeping has caused problems in a perfect relationship. This morning I find out that the stepson of one of my best friends was murdered. It was in front of a restaurant in daylight. The murderer was caught but my friend and his wife are going through hell. The stepson had 2 children with another one on the way. His oldest son has already been asking for his daddy and crying because he is not there. So, I cry.

The other night I was at work when it happens, I looked like a complete ass in front of everyone. We were on a roof trying to talk down a suicidal patient. When some other medic decides to call my phone. Well I had my phone set to vibrate earlier and had no clue that it had some how gone to loud mode. Well as I am right behind the patient telling him that things will be fine and that I am here to help him, my phone rings and all you hear is the funeral march. Well damn that just made everyone stop and turn, they all had the look of horror on their faces. We thought for sure the patient would freak out, well he didn't and we were able to talk him down after 6 hours on the roof. Good thing he had a sense of humor and wasn't offended, and we were all able to get a laugh after all was said and done. I just don't think I will ever live this one down, and no I am not Death contrary to popular beliefs folks! *Note to self Turn off cell when on scene*

What Is It About Vampire Movies?
I love vampire movies. The neck biting just TURNS ME ON!! I have really been into them today for some reason. As a matter of fact, I am watching blade right now. So this really blows. Me and hubby have our own place - a two story house that's a half double but really don't look like it. It's beautiful on the inside, lol. Looks Like Countdown Has Started
Will hopefully know later today or tomorrow if house has sold. The past two weeks have been especially hard on me. Listing my home for the past nearly 30 years because we lost it, ending a marriage of nearly 30 years(been together over 30 1/2), and having the man I fell in love with stop talking to me. Packing up and tossing 30 years of things accumulated with love because the love is gone on both our parts, is harder than I expected. With no help from my children its as if they either can't wait for me to be gone or are hoping it isn't going to happen, makes it even harder. To lose a blossoming love just was the kicker that has me even in more of a funk. We used to talk for hours and its now been over a week since he told me goodbye because he thinks this is what is best for me is killing me. There are days I don't even want to go on.

A Plea For Prayer
Ok for all the inquiring minds, it's easier to post here then to answer the emails of how im doing , or what the DR said today ! First off I'll start from the beginning, I went to the ER last Sunday night was there 7 hours. I went home , and straight to my DR. office the next day. He immediately called the hospital and had me admitted ! Thru a CT they determined that there is 7 VISIBLE gal stones, and my gal bladder needs removed . But they were confident there was more. So in them 5 days I went thru many tests, many xrays, ultra sounds, EKG'S , I seen a surgeon and 2 other specialists. Plus my family DR. None of which was really able to determine where exactly the pain was coming from other than they knew there was more .... A year and a half ago, I had a surgery called " NovaSure ( endometiral ablation ) " What that was is to basically freeze my female parts and stop menstrual cycles rather than go thru a hystorectomy. Recently I had a shock, my Dad had a heart attack and we were very close to losing him. A very emotional time for myself and family. I just want to share with everyone how lucky I am to have Ric in my life....he was so thoughtful and supportive. He has a such a huge heart, so filled with love and caring for his friends and family! General Musings
Howdy everyone. It's been a while since I've actually sat down and wrote down some stuff...hope ya'll had a great new year...mine sucked kinda. I was sick, but i still managed to have a good time. Started back to school this week, and it should be quite fun again. I had a chance to go to the Packer game this weekend, but I couldn't find someone to watch the kids :(. Just as well it's going to be freezing out w/ anticipated high temperatures being below zero... I think i'll stay home and watch the game instead. I can sit in my chair w/ my cheetos and drinks and yell at the screen w/o having to worry about my butt freezing to the aluminum bleachers. It'll still be fun to watch the game anyways. Jan. 15th Doctor Visit...=)
Michael, my brother, had the day off, so he drove mom and I, and treated us to lunch after my doctor appointment...(my celebratory meal.)...we hadn't done that in a while...just the three of us, so that was really a treat for me. GOOD NEWS! wooohoooo!!! *take a big deep breath!* The doctor visit was great! Went over all my meds and he wants me to start weaning myself off of the hard diuretic (Lasix) and use it only as needed! That means I HAVE to be good with the sodium restricted diet! *ugh...* I think that's been the toughest part for me ~ I have no problem with the sugar restriction, but the sodium is so much harder to monitor...lots of fruits and veggies...less processed, ready to eat stuff since that's what is high in sodium. (grrr) He did, however, up my heart medication (Coreg), because my pulse is still high (92 when he checked it...he wants it A LOT lower). I'm sure that ADD-thang might have somethin' to do with it! *ha!* Exercise will help that as well...

Lately, among everything else in my life, I've had this new sensation. Can't really say if it's a good sensation or bad one, but it is unlike anything I've ever felt before. 2 Cups
Two cups of coffee and finally I'm getting the cobwebs out. By the way, I like my women like I like my coffee - in large cups :D I finally got about 3 hours sleep last night, the most in a week. One thing that's been keeping me from getting sleep though, is nightmares from experiences with her daughter, who is disliked by just about every who has ever known her, including her family. I don't know either, but you can own both for only 12.99. And they don't sell "explicit" music unless the "content" is edited, even though message the artist is trying to convey isn't blocked. I've been just looking around and I have decided that the word "HATER" is grossly over used. I may be wrong but my perception of a true hater is someone who dislikes someone for no apparent reason. If a two people have a falling out, I don't necessarily consider either side a true hater. Again, this is only my opinion but if a person is commenting on your looks, attitude or lifestyle but has not taken the chance to get to know you, I'd say that's a hater. Tequilla Christmas Cake!
Ingredients: 1 cup of water 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup of sugar 1 tsp salt 1 cup of brown sugar Lemon juice 4 large eggs Nuts 1 bottle tequila 2 cups of dried fruit Sample the tequila to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the tequila again. To be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. I Support Your Troops!
I was standing in line a Subway during lunch wearing my "I support our troops" T-shirt when this "woman" asked me if I loved America and do I support the war effort. I replied with yes. Then out of nowhere she spat on my shirt...WTF! She said that America kill her sons who served in the war against Iraq and she thinks I'm "a fuc$in' brainless idiot who dont know his ass from a hole in the ground!" I was raised with good morals so I didnt cuss her out or return spattle. I simply replied that God loves you and so do I and then i turned my back to her. A Choice I Make To Stay Living Consciously.
To date I have had no further seizures This morning, 17th January, the Epilepsy Nurse phoned to enquire about the drugs I am currently taking. Fortunately I did not answer the phone so my husband told her all she needed to know about dosage and the seizure I had. The nurse mentioned today about the drug I have completely withdrawn from and my husband explained that after taking just a half in December it had zonked me out. I am not quite sure on this but I have the feeling the Nurse wanted me to go back on them Whether it is because they are cheaper than the ones I have been forced to increase or not I do not know. What I do know is that I had surgery in order to cease taking the Mysolin due to its long term side effects of disorientation. This did occur especially when I was looking up and moving. Cleansing Of My Home....
No, nothing mystical... lol... Although, it might seem so daunting that I might have to find someone with mystic or mojo abilities to get it done... Hee hee.... This week I finally broke down and realized that, try as I might, I am just not going to be able to to store everything I need to in my 2-bedroom apartment that I have accumulated throughout the years (and have downsized from a 4-bedroom home to a 3-bedroom apartment and now, within the last couple of years, to the 2-bedroom apartment as I became an empty nester). As such, I finally broke down and paid for a storage unit to remove some items that I am trying to store in tubs. Thankfully, I have gone through tons of stuff and I have narrowed the stored items to about 24 tubs. Some things I am selling on eBay and Half.com as well under "devinetexan" in case you have a hankering for anything. :) I am just soooo tired of looking at these tubs.
