Pete's Gone To A Better Place.
My Buddy Pete passed away yesterday. He was 41. We have been friends for many years. I stood with him when he got married. We used to race together. We worked at the speedway together. Pete suffered for a long time. Many ailments. He even recieved a kidney transplant a few years ago. And he never, ever complained. I did. I hated to see the the things he had to go thru. Public Apology To Magicman
To Magicman and the others in Hell's Revenge Lounge, I want to apologize in a public manner as when I blew up. I did this due to the fact that I had gotten false information from several sources that have always been reliable in the past that he was running me down, and complaining about the music I play on my shows. First Day Of Kindergarten!
Well, Tash started Kindergarten Wednesday. She woke up and didn't even argue about getting ready. I guess I should have been telling her she was going to school instead of daycare all these yrs. LOL! She was excited and when we got there and got her to class she hung her backpack up and went and set down on the carpet like her teacher said to and didn't even cry or say I love you when I left. Lexi cried though, she wanted to stay with sissy or sissy to stay with her. I would have blogged earlier but I forgot the camera at work and was going to just do both at the same time. Anyway, I was sad when she didn't say I love you back or cry a lil, but happy that she didn't mind going.

Recent Dr Visit
For those who don't already know, I went to the dr just about 2 and a half weeks ago for a new patient exam with my new dr. He decided to run a bunch of bloodwork and do some xrays to have his own full set of records. Well, a full set of back xrays and 7 (YES SEVEN) vials of blood later, I went home. On Monday of this week, I went in to get the results of all those tests... So here's the rundown... Thyroid / Metabolism - Normal. White Blood Cell count - Normal. Blood Sugar - Normal. Cholesterol - Slightly elevated, but nothing that a little getting out and moving around won't fix. Slightly anemic - guess I need to take vitamins again LOL! Arthritis test was positive, duh, I've known that for damn near 14 years now. X-rays show NO damage in my spine from the arthritis though, so that's a good thing. Smoke Free For Me!!!
Well, I've been just thinking about quitting smoking now for about a month. I'm done thinking about it! I've signed up on http://www.becomeanex.org and I'm going to do the program and become a non smoker. I have so many reasons why I should and need to quit that the reasons I keep smoking are minuscule! I haven't set a date yet, but I will be clean come September when I move. This wont be easy, but I know I will do it for good this time! I'm done with smoking, I can't stand it anymore! I'm tired of throwing away good money on crap that is killing me. I'm all for a good fiery death, but not when I have to pay for it with good money that could be spent on so much more amusing things. HURRAY FOR A SMOKE FREE ME!

Thoughts For Tonight 8-14-08
As I am about to head to bed, a few thoughts have run through my mind that has been parading around on and off the past few days that I have questioned people about that I know, that are couples. How do you share your space? I have been single for so long, and not that I haven't been involved, but nothing has developed enough to such sharing living quarters has been an issue needing to be discussed. This Past Week...

Breakfast Bars
5 Cups Frosted Flakes, crushed to 3 cups 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup light corn syrup 1/2 cup peanut butter 1 tsp vanilla extract Combine crushed cereal with raisins in a large bowl; set aside. Bring brown sugar and corn syrup to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. remove from heat. Stir peanut butter and vanilla into syrup mixture until well blended. Pour over cereal and raisins, stirring until evenly coated. Press into a 9-inch square pan. Cool Completely. Cut into 16 bars.

well, I have had 9 radiation treatments.....and it is catching up to me. I am feeling blah these days. My right breast feels like it is sunburned and it is tender. I quit going to gym 3 months ago that didn't help my weight. Well starting today. My little one started school (poor teachers). So all 3 are in school now. I got off mt lazy butt with the permission from my Dr. and went to the gym today. So as of today I am back to the gym working out.. Taking Her To School
today was the day. she was ready for it too, i bet she asked me a dozen times last night when she got to go to school. this morning when i dropped little brother off at daycare she was sitting in the truck arguing with the kids in the daycare telling them "i'm not coming in, just my brother, i'm not coming in, i'm going to school" it was funny. after that we had to go see my mother before we could go to school. she was telling everyone at the store she was going to school. when we got to school she wanted a picture in front of the sign outside so we did that then i walked her to her classroom and sat there with her for a few minutes then they went to breakfast. while they were at breakfast she told me i could go so i gave her a hug and left. she was really excited that she gets to ride the bus to daycare too. i'll just have to wait and see how the day went until i get home

The Olympics
I'm not into the Olympics, never have been, so I wasn't as excited as alot of people were. But luckily they're not on ESPN, Court TV, The Food Network, or The Travel Channel, so my viewing pleasure was safe. BUT...my wife is. She is glued to the screen. She starts watching as soon as they are on, into what I assume the wee hours. I am asleep, I do not know. But since its on, I find myself getting reeled in more and more. So here are my views so far. Michael Phelps is a freak of nature. He is absolutely incredible. He is the one thing I tried to make sure I watched. Not only is he winning gold, but he is winning each one in world record time. I hope he gets gold in every event, so I can say I actually saw one of the greatest sports feats of all time. I watched the women's beach volleyball. I got sucked into the hype of them being in hardly any clothes. I may be in the minority here, but I wish they'd cover up more. I'm not a fan of tall, lanky women, with no asses.

I Just Want To Sleep......
For almost 4 months now I have been lucky to get 2 hours of sleep a night. I close my eyes and my brain fires up and will not stop. When I do get to sleep, I have nothing but nightmares that wake me up. The docs gave me some meds, which do little. I am not very trusting of meds in the first place. I mean, I don't even take anything for headaches or a cold or anything really. Also in the past few months I have had many headaches, which I am sure is due to little sleep. A couple of semesters ago I had to take a class for my Major called "Choice Theory". Mind you that my idea about this class was less than to be desired but once the semester moved on I learned alot and opefully pass the idea around for other to think about. Choice Theory is an idea (a very true and insiteful idea) that was written by William Glasser,M.D. A psychiatrist that has been known world wide. But we live in our houses that are like big boxes..then we go to work, another one, and a smaller one is our cars.
