Babies First Picture
Babies First Picture Ryan & I went to the Dr's office for our first prenatal visit. We got to see the baby(grub worm) on an ultrasound. It was so amazing, that tiny little life force is inside me. I was so happy that I had Ryan there with me. After a poke of the needle we were of to dinner with babies first picture and home video. We keep watching the dvd of the ultrasound, its just so unreal. We head back in for more pictures in a few weeks. For now I'm off to stare at baby goods.

Hurricane Evac
ok, so we have gustav or however ya spelled it, coming for the gulf.predicted landfall is like wednesday at best. its barely a hurricane right now and everyone is heading out already. online reservations are nonexistant everywhere! its only friday!!!! everyone is just looking for a good reason to run for the laborday weekend right... the store down the street looked like the end of the world! i had to take 4th choice on cigs and the cooler was almost empty in drinks!!!! my prediction is it heads west and keeps right on for mexico...its already looking like its gonna hit cancun! have a nice holiday weekend!

Hey, I stayed home tonight with Jon, watched the eviction on BB9 (Lisa went...), nice bottle of Pinot Grigio Rose which inadvertently got us frisky and we ended up missing the interview because we were at it on the sofa as she wittered on about having 'the time of her life' (probably). James is back for a week from Monday onwards and that's something I always look forward to. It is a bit bizarre the set-up we have here and sometimes I can be with Jon in bed or whatever and I'll forget which twin I'm with, my husband or my brother-in-law!! They do very similar things in bed, all things I like so it's all good in the hood! James and Jonathan are so close though, they kind of see themselves as one person split in half so the situation with me has never been anything other than a practical solution to a number of problems. I have NO Brockman twins to contend with though for the weekend coming. I'm off to Liverpool to visit some of my bestest, oldest buddies and get extremely drunk

Lynyrd Skynyrd are reportedly eyeing an early-2009 release for their next studio album, says guitarist Rickey Medlocke. The band has spent the last year recording with a surprising choice — Marilyn Manson/Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 — and hope to spend the latter portion of 2008 in the studio to finish recording the new album, the band’s first since 2003’s maligned Vicious Cycle. “We’ve been doing quite a bit of writing with John 5,” Medlocke said. “While everybody thought, ‘My god, you are going to write with this guy? How is that ever going to work?’ But this guy came in and is really multi-talented in all genres.” Two of the songs expected to make the track list are the dark “Floyd” and the uptempo “Bang, Bang.” Lynyrd Skynyrd is not the first classic rock artist that John 5 has worked with. Last weekend I had what I would say is the honor to be able to hang with the band Del Mar in a music/club setting, and the following day/night in a personal setting just hangin. these members are very cool and very laid back, and if you are into surf/punk type music then they are the band to check out. their music is very alive, if you know what i mean. Update.
I haven't written in this blog for quite some time. I don't have much time on here these days. My husband came home from Iraq and we moved into our new place only to live there for a few short months. He has PTSD and its very frustrating for me. We are currently separated because of it. I was suffering from major depressive disorder and his PTSD was not helping my depression. I knew he had it before he came home because he became very distant with me then too. He just needed some time he'd always say. I felt so unwanted and so unloved I was in tears for many months awaiting his arrival home. This also didn't help my depression either. A Word About My Current State Of Health
Greetings, As some of you know I was diagnosed with kidney cancer 6 years ago, had a kidney taken out, and went through a years worth of chemo. Fast forward 5 years and it seems that the chemo severely damaged my remaining kidney. It appears that I am also faced with the beginning stages of kidney failure in the next few years. Right now I am on a strict diet that has cut out 99% of protein as that affects kidney function. As far as life span Ive been told anywhere between 5-30 years so who the fuck knows lol. I haven't been online this week because I have been spending time with my mother. We have been going to doctors all week. Yesterday was the 2nd cardiologist appointment. They were doing a heart cath on her and she suffered Angina while having it. They rushed her to the hospital for an emergency stint in her artery. They ended up ballooning another artery as well. She is fine this morning. Her surgery had to be put off because of this procedure, but without this her heart wouldn't have survived surgery. It's now set for 3 weeks from now, barring any complications. She will be leaving the hospital this afternoon to go stay with my sister. Once surgery is over she will be coming home with me. I've missed everyone. *Hugs*

Spirituality
All through nursing school, we were taught as nurses that we have to accept everyone, from every culture, every socioeconomic background, every life stage, and every religion...you get the point, all human beings deserve to be cared for, physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. That being said, most nurses are Christian, Baptist, Church of Christ, etc.... I run into problems, because I am not Christian. Nurses believe that behind closed doors with other nurses, it is ok to talk about other's beliefs. Should I keep on smiling and nodding, or should I say something? Yesterday's comment really blew me away. The nurse said she doesn't like it and doesn't feel very comfortable with a patient telling her "I'm Wiccan, I'm a Witch, and I'm the devil." I wanted to say something right then. People still believe that Pagans, and or Wiccans worship the devil? I suppose I could have mummed this, but it's very heart felt and kind of a tender subject to me right now.

It's something we used to sing to this kid named brian when I was in the fourth grade. Gawd, why do I remember this shit?! Everyday, like clockwork, all of us would be lined up for the school bus. The rule was, wherever the backpack lie designated your place in line for the bus...kinda like a first come first serve honor system. Everyday, there I'd be with my best friend jaime, all in line, ready and a waiting like the good kids we were. Bad Day Car Accident
My car is totally fucked! I got in an accident today (8/28/08 @ 1:45pm) with a semi. It was my fault, I was busy talkin with my friend in the car and didn't notice that the light had turned red. I'm so pissed off at myself and totally bummed about my car! On the good side, no one was hurt and it looks like it's just body damage on the car. I was able to drive it home and it drove straight and there was no noise from the engine. The hood is crumpled and doesnt latch, but it stays down. Both my quarter panels are messed up and my front bumper is trashed, more so on the passenger side bc I tried to swerve. I'll be posting pictures of it sometime later today I think. Guess I won't be needing that GPS on it now *sobs n cries*

i recently bought a computer(laptop) from a magazine aka The Sportsman Guide; anyways the price i paid for it was nearly $450. in the catalog, three brands of computers were listed,(Compaque,I.B.M,&Dell)but no chice was allowed 4 the purchase.Anyways I have this Acer/w Vista software i wanna get repaired {L.C.D_Monitor is Cracked) but its gonna cost me $350 that i don't have at the present time. I FELL INTO ONE... or nearly did. That's right, the BOARDING HOUSES where anyone that qualifies as a student in between classes can live for three months until their on campus dorm or apartment is available again. 4 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons salt 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 tablespoon solid shortening, melted 2 cups lukewarm milk Fat or oil (for deep-frying) Sift flour, salt and baking powder into bowl. 1 cup sliced leeks 1/3 cup oil 2 cloves garlic, crushed 2 lb canned black beans 1/2 cup water 11/8 tsp fresh ground pepper Sauté the leeks in the oil in a large saucepan until golden. Add garlic and half the beans with their liquid. Mash the beans with a fork. Then add the rest of the beans with their liquid but do not mash. Stir in the water, salt and pepper, and simmer, covered, for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. 2 lb fresh or dry Lima beans (baby limas are best) 3 cups fresh corn cut from cob 4-6 onions (wild or pearl) salt to taste 2 tbs melted bacon fat 2 pieces smoked ham hock 3 qts water pepper to taste (optional) Soak beans, if using dry ones, for 3-4 hours. Hopi Corn Stew With Blue Dumplings
For the Stew: 2 tbs bacon drippings 1 1/2 lb ground beef or goat meat 1 medium onion-chopped 1 green bell pepper-chopped 1 tbs ground New Mexico red pepper 4 cups corn kernels 1 small zucchini 1 small yellow squash 4 cups water 2 tbs whole wheat flour salt to taste For the Blue Dumplings: 2 cups blue cornmeal 2 tsp baking powder 2 tbs bacon drippings 1/2 tsp salt 2/3 cup milk Making the Stew: Heat bacon drippings over medium-high heat in a large stew-pot or Dutch oven. Add the meat and sauté until lightly browned. Stir in onion, pepper and ground chili. Sauté until onion is translucent, 3-4 minutes. Stir in corn, zucchini and squash and add enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 30-40 minutes, until meat and vegetables are tender. Then, in a small bowl, combine flour and 2 tablespoons broth from the stew. Whisk back into the stew and simmer until thickened. Add the dumplings to the stew during the last 15 minutes o

4 large ears corn 3 eggs well beaten 2 tbs melted butter 1 tsp sugar 3/4 cup condensed milk 1-1/2 lb small shrimp, shelled Salt and pepper to taste Preheat oven to 325F. Grease well a 1-1/2 quart casserole with butter and sprinkle with cornmeal. Set aside. Grate the fresh corn into a medium bowl. In a separate bowl beat eggs and fold into the corn. Add melted butter, sugar and condensed milk. Blend well. Add shrimp, salt and pepper, and blend well. Pour into the prepared casserole and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Serve immediately. Roasted Wild Turkey
wild turkey, 8-10 pounds Salt and pepper to taste 2 small apples, sliced in half 1 medium onion, cut in half 2 stalks celery, sliced 1 teaspoon sage 6-8 slices bacon Melted bacon fat Preheat oven for 20 minutes at 325F. Sprinkle turkey inside and out with salt and pepper. Place apples, onions and celery slices into the cavity. Sprinkle inside of the cavity with salt, pepper, and sage. Pull legs upward and tie them together with a string. Turn the wings under the bird and secure with toothpicks or a small skewer. Place turkey breast up on a rack in a roasting pan. Cover breast with bacon slices and a cheesecloth soaked in melted bacon fat. Roast in the preheated oven 20 to 25 minutes per pound or until the joints move freely. Baste often with pan juices. On Tuesday, I had a doctors appointment for a normal check up. The check up went fine and I got refills for my medications. My doctor had asked me if I had done my blood work test yet. I told her that I didn't get to that yet, so she told me that I should get it done. I decided to get it done after our appointment. So I go to the Lab to get my blood test and off I went. I get a phone call yesterday about my blood test results. She was saying something about my white cells where slightly elevated and something about my sugar. She wanted me to go in again when I can to take another blood test but this time fast. So I go there today for another blood test. They ended up taking more blood than the first time they drew blood. I guess I will find out the result sometime tomorrow during work. I think they were doing a glucose testing or that's what they did the first day. I dunno. So I'm a bit concern about it. Depresson is alovely hurting black hole that infects the heart then the soul then the mind. That hurting that takes total control of our lives. To makes us feel so numb to this sin filled world that we can get punched in the back of the head and just laugh. For the only thing we feel with depression is PAIN. We constantly need to feel pain just to feel something then nothing at all. Thats why we get into horrible relationships od hurt ourselves in every way possibly. Some like me go down a much wronger path of addiction of sex. Some have other additions but sex is mine that is my ecstasy! I feel I'll never stop and I'll kill myself over it! My moms second cousin, my third passed away a week ago, he was about 60. We believe that he overdosed on eye medicine and then he went in that same day for eye surgery, he went into a coma and was pronounced brain dead and his organs were shutting down. What Should I Do?
I've been married for about eleven years, and within this last year, and especially within the past two weeks, she has completely withdrawn from me, and is almost treating me with hate. I have not been allowed to kiss her on the lips at any time except when there is sex (which can be counted on a calendar). I was asked to take a second job so we can try to catch up on bills, and I'm being yelled at for not doing things around the house, even though I only have time to get dressed to go to the second job. We have two children together, and they are my world. My oldest son also loves them to death. I have heard divorce a few times as an answer, but I can't. I am at a dead end.
