Need A Job
I would just like to know how I could be unemployed for 6 months now sending my resume everywhere and not get a bite? My brother is unemployed for 2 days and get a job in the court house as a translator mind you he is a felon. I on the other hand have a clean criminal background. I have skills... The Rooomate
As you know i live with my bestie in an apartment and so far things haven't been that bad. We're both messy in our own way so we never really fuss about cleaning. Dad Is Home
Dad should be home from the hospital by now. The results of the test showed 7 or 8 places with blockage in the arteries. Most were between 50 and 70%, though one small artery had 95%. The direction for now is medication for a few weeks to see if it helps and then a stress test to see if there is a change. TY so much for all the prayers

Christmas Party
Thursday is the annual work Christmas party. This is my first year attending unmarried. At first on Friday, I was counted as two invitations because everyone 'forgot' I'm no longer married. How nice! 4 Years
so 4 years ago today i moved to california. and my first night in my home was also the same night that one of my musicial heroes, Dimebag Darrell was murdered in my home state of Ohio. the irony wasn't lost on me. my whole time in california has been a mix of both good and bad times. i've had my share of both and when i look back i realize how much crazy shit has really happened in only 4 years. granted most of the last year and a half has been insanely more bad times than good, i still have done my best to keep my head up and survive. and i continue to survive. i don't give up easily no matter how many times i break down and want to. i stand up and plow through it. i'm too fucking stubborn. so as i blast some Pantera on my stero i just have a smile on my face cuz ya know what? i'm not done. i'm not giving up. and i'm sure as hell not gonna lie down and die. horns

I've Come To Realize
That much of my problem stems from loneliness. I have few ppl to share this with and they're all here. My closest RL friends have other things to worry about - I've always been the one to help THEM through their problems; maybe they just don't know how to listen, I dunno. My hubby is so consumed with stress from worrying about being the only breadwinner and keeping the kids under control that he has nothing left for me. I feel like I'm taking care of everyone and there's nobody left to take care of me. The last couple years of my life have been some of my happiest. I was finally feeling somewhat attractive for the first time since I started gaining weight. All of that is changing now that I'm losing my best physical feature. People say I should be happy that I get to live. But I can't work now and make my kids happier by getting them things, and I can't make my hubby happy with my appearance. And I can't keep him happy by keeping the house perfect because I'm soooo tired

Recently I decided that I will never try to be someone I am not for love. After 3 months of a very stressful relationship with someone I knew from the start was wrong for me, I just couldn't do it any longer. I had to let that freebird go. Obsessed With Twilight
I'm going to need to get a shot, to cure this unnatural obsession with Twilight. I went to see the movie Friday (premiere day) at 7:45pm. We got there at 7. The line started just outside the TWO theatres that was playing the movie and then circled around the huge building allllllll the way to where people were still buying for tickets. The line was for people who already had tickets. We were finally let in at 7:15 and it took forever to get in to the actual theatre. I sat the second seat from the aisle on the left in the row that right before the handicap seats. It was so god damn packed it was ridiculous. I went again today. Not so many people so I was able to get good seats. I really think it must be 1 in the box office this weekend. Police said the man swallowed the drugs after a short car and foot chase Tuesday about 20 miles northeast of Detroit. I am walking in the dark. I hate myself for it and I hate where I am in my life. I put on a happy face infront of my children but that is about it. I don't know which way to go. WEll I am back... I was having Fu-withdrawls...its been a few weeks...some things have worked out and somethings are still in working progress and some things I had to cut ties with. In this era of online social networking sometimes strange things can happen. Typically all of the people I have dated over the past three or four years have all had myspace, or facebook, and as is tradition, when you start dating someone you add them to your friends. The photo is showing Christmas wreaths adorning every gravesite at Arlington National Cemetery. Over 5,000 wreaths are donated by the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington, Maine. The owner, Merrill Worcester, not only provides the wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. He's done this since 1992. A wonderful guy. Also, most years, groups of Maine school kids combine an educational trip to DC with this event to help out. Making this even more remarkable is the fact that Harrington is in one the poorest parts of the state. Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, Teach our children the value of freedom !

Ingredients 1/4 cup butter, softened 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1 lemon, zested 1/2 cup lemon juice 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves 3/4 cup assorted frozen cherries, thawed, drained well, pitted and chopped 1/4 cup mixed berry preserves Powdered sugar, for dusting Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In large bowl with an electric mixer, mix butter until fluffy. Add half the flour, then add in order: brown sugar, lemon zest, juice and egg. To remaining flour add baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves. Combine both mixtures until just incorporated. Fold in cherries and pour into an ungreased 8 by 8-inch baking pan. Using a spoon, equally dollop preserves on top of batter and using a toothpick or skewer, drag the tip through the preserves to create a swirl pattern on top. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes o

Ingredients 4 large egg whites at room temperature 1 teaspoon cream of tartar 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons superfine granulated sugar 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips Directions Preheat oven to 225 degrees F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat egg whites on low-medium speed with the whisk attachment until the whites become foamy. Add the cream of tartar and turn speed up to medium, beating until just fluffy. Add the sugar gradually, so it incorporates into the whites slowly without collapsing them. Once all the sugar has been added, add the vanilla and increase the speed to high, whisking until the meringue is firm and glossy, about 5 to 7 minutes. So when I was in the Army and first stationed in Germany, the place where I was assigned required a security clearance, and mine was not finished yet. So they have "special" jobs for people without a clearance, like cutting grass, repainting yellow stripes in the parking lot, or climbing trees to get peoples' boots out of them. Poor Child
Around this time last year as I was driving to work , I saw a sign saying that somebody had stolen a four year old girls puppy from her front yard that was an early xmas gift. Feeling sad I contacted the phone number that was on the sign and spoke to the parents of the girl. I offered to help and invited her and her parents to visit my home, because each Xmas I decorate my house with lights for everyone to see and to get into the spirit of giving. That sign gave to me the sweetest family that anyone could wish for. Just to see the smile on the child's face was enough to bring a tear to my eye as well as her parents. By the way the little girls name was FAITH and she gave all that back to me with the biggest smile and the brightest gleam in her eye when I let her turn the lights on to my home. A child got a gift of happiness.....and I also bought her a white Labrador puppy. So be it!!!

Bourbon Balls I (makes 36) INGREDIENTS * 1 cup confectioners' sugar * 1/2 cup butter, softened * 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts * 1/2 cup chopped raisins * 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder * 2 tablespoons flaked coconut * 2 tablespoons bourbon * 2 1/4 ounces colored candy sprinkles DIRECTIONS 1. Mix the butter and the confectioners' sugar until smooth. Stir in the chopped nuts, raisins, cocoa, coconut and bourbon. Refrigerate mixture until firm, about 1 hour. 2. Shape mixture into small balls and roll in chocolate sprinkles to coat. Work fast, as they can melt in your hands. Chill on a wax paper lined tray. Scotch Fudge Into a thick bottom large pan, put the following all together: 3 1/2 lb granulated sugar 1/2 lb butter 1/2 lb syrup 2 large tins Carnation milk 1 large tin Nestles condensed milk 6 oz white chocolate 1/2 oz Scotch Whisky 1) On a very high heat, bring everything to boil, stirring frequently. 2) The mixture will get very hot so a long spoon is required. 3) Boil continuously for approximately 15 minutes until it just starts to caramelise. 4) Empty pan contents into a food mixer bowl and mix on a slow speed, and approximately 6 oz of white chocolate and allow to melt. 5) Pour into buttered trays. So the last couple months have been really hard on me. First I had to get an emergency root canal. That cost $600. Then I got laid off from my job because they didn't have the budget to keep me on. Then I got a job stocking over nights. While working there I sprained my knee. This is more of a need to vent. Ok my desktop computers power supply went out when replacing it I found that not only the power supply went out but my motherboard and processor was fried. Yes I do have surge protectors. So while needing to fix those issues I thought I would just use my ibm thinkpad laptop "old p.o.s" until fixed. sounds pretty simple right...wrong! The lcd on the laptop goes out on me, no worries I could rock ghetto. So I hooked up the monitor from my desktop to my laptop, that lasted about a day when my desktop monitor goes out on me...mind you yes once again I am using surge protectors. So what does my system looking like that I am rocking this wonderful vent on. IBM Thinkpad, Huge ass heavy as shit small screened monitor and a usb wireless key that has been duct taped to hold it together. I Don't Understand
I don't understand why humans have a need to control other humans. Why did this trait evolve in the human species ? I imagine it developed from food shortages and infant safety...but why did it travel to other areas that were not survival related ? Good Fu-friends?

Weekend Fun
Well this was a very interesting weekend. Me
I keep trying to tell myself I am good enough.. and deserve to be happy.. and that I deserve someone good in my life. But at the same time it scares me... confuses me.. makes me doubt myself. The thought of someone actually caring, wanting to be with me.. usually leads to selfdoubt and anxiety. I have trouble with trust.. because so many lies were told in the past. I will fight hard for something that I want... until I see that what I want was just a broken dream. I think I wish for things that I can't have, because I know I can't have them and when the wishes don't come true, it is just less of a blow because I never expect them to happen. Childhood Dreams Checklist
I sit here comparing notes on "what I want to be when I grow up" from when I was a kid, and find myself notching yet another one from the list. Update On Dad
The tests showed he did not have a heart attack yesterday. That is the good news. Tomorrow he will have a heart cath to check for blockage. Something caused the pain and the sudden high blood pressure. Hopefully tomorrow we will know the answer. I spent most of the day sitting in his hospital room. I just couldn't leave. Why I Decided To Come Back
I left Fubar.com in August 2007 due to drama and bullshit. I met one guy offline from this site who, to this day became one of my closest friends. Spicy Cranberry Chicken Drummettes
Spicy Cranberry Chicken Drummettes (makes 20 servings) Ingredients: - 40 chicken drummettes (about 4 pounds) - 3 oz dark rum - 1 oz Rhum Clement Creole Shrubb - 1/4 cup hot pepper sauce - 2 tbsp chili sauce - 1 tsp salt - 1 cup Ocean Spray Jellied cranberry sauce Combine all ingredients, except drummettes in a large resealable plastic bag. Mix well. Ad drummettes. Seal and turn bag to coat chicken. Refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight. Preheat over to 400F. Pour chicken and marinade in ungreased 1/2 sheet pan. Bake 40 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink hear bone, turning 2 or 3 times and brushing with marinade. Transfer chicken pieces to serving dish; discard any remaining marinade. Empanadas
Zesty Empanadas Ingredients: Preheat oven to 400 degrees, makes about 20 empanadas 3/4 lbs. lean ground beef Approx. 1 cup of large spicy green olives (from your gourmet grocer), finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 medium white onion, minced 1/2 teaspoon cumin 1 small can of quality chopped green chiles 1/4 cup of salsa (), just enough to hold the dish together Season to taste with salt, pepper and red pepper flake (the spiciness of the olives can vary so be careful with the red pepper flake) 2 frozen pie crusts 1 egg 2 tablespoons milk In a large saute pan, brown ground beef, drain and set aside. In same pan, saute onion, garlic and green chiles until tender, about 3-4 minutes. Add ground beef, olives, cumin, season to taste. Lay out pie crusts and cut 3 inch circles with a glass. Roll out remaining dough for additional empanadas. Place 1-1/2 to 2 teaspoons of filling on cut circles. Fold edges and crimp together. Be careful not too add too much filling, you
