What I Want For Christmas...

Ok I guess this is one of the best ways to try to put my thoughts together. Right now it's 10:12am. So anyway, I'll just keep typing until I get interrupted. So today i receive a random call from my baby daddy asking about tanner, which caught me way by suprise bc he isnt in his life, well we are going through a divorce and now all of a sudden he wants to go back to settling out of court wtf loser whatever, i want nothing to do with him and is sorry self, besides he didnt even buy his son a xmas gift how low could you go?! Why do I, a fun loving Floridian hate the cold so much? Where to start... there's so many things. First, it's f'in COLD! Second, it seems the colder it gets, the bi***yier ppl become. Trans Siberian Railway (my Trip Related)
So finally hubby is making the itinerary for the trip/work thingy for us. And he decided that we take a Trans Siberian railroad to get from Moscow to China. I doubt he knows what 7 days on a train is, but wth. He'll find out. We are stopping in Kazakhstan on a way there, to visit my great aunt, but otherwise it sucks spending 6 days on a train with no shower.

Another Year

A Leg Up...literally
Ok friends so i made a mumm before my surgery but many people are just finding out and asking questions so ive decided to kind of fill in the holes and put it all out there. I initially went in on the 18th for a 2nd ankle fusion, bone graph and removal of a couple tumors that had formed in my leg do to all the surgeries ive had ( this one being my 4th on just this leg ). Well during the surgery they faced several complications and i ended up having even more work performed. After 3 hrs in surgery this is what i had done..ankle fusion, heel fusion, removal of 2 tumors as well as the removal of my rt ligament and finally a couple titanium screws in the bottom of my heel and a 2nd skin graph. Now thats a mouth full and its a lot to have to type over and over so i hope this answers most of ya'lls questions. Random Thoughts.
Here we go... I hate it when it's freezing freakin cold! Right now, temperatures are so cold, we didnt even come close to 25 today. It was 3 this morning. Brrrr. As you all might know Mindy had surgery today to relieve swelling from her brain..she had some minor complications but seems to be holding her own in recovery right now...there is no news yet weather it was successful or not...but she did make it thrhough and should be out of recovery very soon....thank you all on her behalf for the concern and care and love from all of you...she needs it!!!

Sometimes in this life you find someone who just fits you and you can't figure out how it's possible because there are too many challenges in your way. For Those Who Were Wondering
Friday night i started feelin a lil sick. I was thinkin I was comin down with the flu. Body aches, my right ear and jaw hurt. The next day the pain was gone but I had a bit of tingling on the right side of my face. Things tasted a lil funny but i thought that was the flu. Late saturday night i noticed i was losing contol of the right side of my face. So Sunday the entire right side of my face was completely paralyzed. I go to the ER and they did a cat scan and told me that i have bells palsy( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell%27s_palsy ). They have no idea what causes it or why. But that its there. In most cases people funny recover and are fine with no problems after that. So we shall see. and i wanna say thank you and send love out to my fantasia family .. you guys are the best..

I had just moved into this tiny ass apartment. Done most of the serious cleaning and scrubbing because this place was a shit hole inside.. Almost done unpacking everything, still hanging shelves and whatnot, pictures, etc etc.. So, what happens? Landlord shows up today, telling me that all my neighbors around me, other houses, and the drug addict welfare scum next door were bitching about the kids... Apparently, they were outside over the weekend swearing. Words I never use. My daughter even told me her mother uses them, though.. Also, the noise level here. The swearing I can deal with, but the landlord tells me my kids need to be quieter at all times. All times? They're brother and sister, bound to fight. They're both hard of hearing, so they're both bound to get louder and louder. I told the landlord of this before I had moved in and there was no problem at all with it. Giving Thanks at year's end Giving Thanks Each year I reflect on what has taken place. I think about where I was at January and where I am now at Christmas. College Towns
I wasn't going to login while I was here, but I had to share this real quick. The things that happen in this town make me chuckle sometimes. I don't know what it is about gas stations and around here, but I've been approached by some strange people while filling my car up. Just now a guy walks up to me and asks me to go into the store for him. I tell him I'm sorry, but I paid at the pump, I'm not going into the store. His response to convince me was he wanted to get some papers. The guy looked old enough to buy smokes, so I'm wondering why he couldn't go into the store. A while ago, while at the gas station I had a guy walk up to me with a bike, he asked me if I wanted to buy it for 10 bucks. Christmas Memory
In 1963, I was still just a babe in arms, barely off the floor, but that year something happened that is my earliest memory. Mom and Dad had gathered up enough capitol and credit to buy a place, 104 acres of prime West Virginia mountain top, which was dubbed "Pumpkin Knob". By the time we got moved in, fixed what needed to be fixed to survive the winter, and laid in some supplies, we were pretty broke. If I may describe the place, starting at the foot of the hill, there was kind of a 2 mud track road that snaked up the side of the hill that was extremely steep at places. Plus it only took 3 drops of rain on a cigarette paper to make it slick as snot on glass! You topped out the hill after about a mile of this steep climb to a saddle back (level spot between mountain peeks) where the house and barns sat. The house was a bit 2 story affair, very solid, but kind of drafty. We had a well behind the house, and a hand pump. Out baths were in a 10 gauge tub in front of our wood stove. Kitche

Tribute To Mike Holmgren

Recipe - Slushy Whiskey Sour
Slushy Whiskey Sour Makes 7 drinks per recipe below. You make it ahead and freeze it the night before. I put one batch in a gallon freezer zip-lock bags. 5 cups 7-Up soda 1 ¼ cup Whisky/Bourbon (I used Crown Royal) 4 oz. (1/2 cup, 1/3 can) thawed orange juice concentrate, undiluted 6 oz. (1/2 can) thawed lemonade concentrate, undiluted 6 tablespoon lemon juice Combine all ingredients. Place in the freezer bag, seal and freeze at least night before. Take out of freezer 30 min before serving. Serve when slushy. I recommend a ladle for serving.

We've all been on the road at one time or another. Some like me seem never to get off it. No matter how hard we try to take an exit ramp off for something better it always seem to be blocked.
