My life the past month has been misserable as hell. I have been very sick and on top of everything else last week my brother got into a really bad car accident and almost died. Saturday Update
saturday update hi, its actually sunday morning but i was to0 tired to do this last night. whew, what a day saturday was. i put in 710 miles. i left fairfax va around noonish and took 66 west to 81 south to 40 west and arrived in nashville, tn. at 10:30 pm. i am about 1/4 to san francisco already. i have filled up the gas tank 4 times and have spent $170 on gas alone. this is going to get a bit spendy i think. my rig is so heavy that i can actually watch the gas meter move like an hour hand on a clock. i found a little dive hotel called knights inn and got a room. it'll do. what can you expect for $29.99? hey, its got free wi-fi and here i am online, right!? i slept very well and the hot shower and clean clothes never felt better. i am going to try and find the hard rock cafe in nashville and have lunch once i get out of this hotel. then the plan is to put in the same hours and miles and end up in oaklahoma city tonight. then i'll be close to half way. i'll be going t

Difficult Decision

Christmas Tree Disappointment.
As everyone knows last year was the year without a Christmas for me because my Grandmother died and I couldn't handle it. So, Yesterday I put up the Christmas tree. It's also Grixies first Christmas and I LOVE taking pictures of kittens in Christmas trees. I haven't had a kitten for 9 years, so I was excited. I got my camera out and sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. Hello! First I want to thank you for taking the time to look at my art work. I would like to tell you a bit about my work and why I chose this style. First I am an award winning artist. I have not had any professional training. I have been doing art work, drawing, painting and sketching for as long as I can remember. It gives me great pleasure to be creative with my work. I do not plan my drawings but instead let the creative energy come from where it will. I have spent any where from a few hours on some of the smaller ones to more than a week on the larger more detailed pieces. Can't Sleep

My Intention
OK, so here's my idea. Some of you may like it, most will probably be indifferent about it. Maybe I'm just doing this for my own self-gratification, who knows. Makes 50-60 Ingredients: 2 cups sifted flour 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup confectioners sugar 1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts 1-lb. confectioners sugar to roll cookies in Method: Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix butter with sugar until very light and fluffy. Mix in flour mixture. Stir in walnuts. Refrigerate until easy to handle. Make balls in the palm of your hand by tablespoons. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet, and bake in a 350 degree F. oven until golden brown, being careful bottoms do not burn. Place confectioners sugar in a large bowl. Take cookies from oven and gently put into bowl. Carefully, they are hot, toss cookies in sugar until they are coated.

Tonight I saw a beautiful sunset. As the sun was going down it cast a beautiful hue of red and pink across the clouds in the sky and it made me wonder what people thought about when they saw the sun rising. I've heard a lot of people say that when they see the sunrise that they believe it's a miracle that is proof that God truly exists. I, on the other hand see it as something different. When I see the sunrise in the morning casting a beautiful golden curtain across the sky it stirs something within me that is profound. It brings forth to me feelings of hope. Ingredients: * 2 tablespoons ground coffee beans * 2 tablespoons HERSHEY'S Cocoa * 1 tablespoon brown sugar * 1-1/2 teaspoons salt * 1 teaspoon chili powder * 1 tablespoon vegetable oil * 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts * SPECIAL SALSA MOLE(recipe follows) * Cilantro sprigs(optional) * Rice(optional) * Tortilla chips(optional) Directions: 1. Heat conventional oven to 425°F. Grease baking sheet. 2. Stir together coffee beans, cocoa, brown sugar, salt and chili powder. Rub chicken pieces with vegetable oil; pat on cocoa mixture. Finally, Something To Feel Good About!
I just got off of my other favorite site, the NASA powerlifting forum, and just found out that I am up for an athelete of the year award for the sub masters division for powersports, which is a part of powerlifting that requires you to lift with no suportive gear at all other than a lifting belt. All though I'm not the "best" lifter out there, it is an honor to be nominated for this award, much less, to actually get the award. I have won one athelete of the year award before in the novice division, and WOW how good that felt to be thought of over several hundred people in the country in the same division. I hope this doesn't seem like bragging, but it's kinda cool when a person works for something, and someone else sees that work and rewards you for it. Even if the prize is small, one should always be thankful that some is looking at them and willing to compliment then on a job well done, or the fact that you tried your best at the very least.
