One Day At A Time
Well he hasnt even been gone 24 hours yet. But already seems like forever. Now is the wait and count down of 15 months. I know he will get to come home for a two week leave, but not sure yet when that will be. He is hopeing for sometime in January or Feburary kinda right in the middle. I cried when he got on the white bus to leave. And on the drive home I cried. But it hasnt quite all sunk in yet and I know there are billions of more tears to come yet. Living With Depression
Its very hard for me at the moment. I dont feel good and i am very tired. So i am not here most of the time. At the moment my life is gray again. I am tired of fighting and i rather be at sleep. For Those Wanting An Update
this morning there is not really any change to report. Daddy is sedated, still on the ventilator, still has a tube in his left lung where he blew/punctured a hole. they don't really expect much change over the weekend. Election Day
Its election day in Iceland today, for the last month and a half the politicians have been making all kins of promises to voters in the media that we all know they no intention of keeping. For the first time in 16 years it looks like we might actually be getting a new government, for the last 16 years we have had a right wing government but that might change today to a left wing/middle of the road kind of government. I wish i felt more enthusiastic about the whole thing, i probably wouldnt vote for any of the parties involved this time around exept for the fact that a friend of mine is running for office, still, i kind of wish she wasnt involved in this election, she is a nice person and nice people get chewed up and spit out by "professional" politicians, nice people should do nice things with their time, they shouldnt hang around with vultures.

Well I'm Back....
I'm finally back on CT. I havn't been on much in last two weeks or so. A lot has been going on. First, my accident, the situation is finally starting to improve since the other driver's insurance company finally took liability for it all. Plus, I'm feeling way better, just a back spasm here or there. And then my grandma dying last Sunday. That was super hard to deal with, and the closure is finally coming so I'm relieved. I miss her though :(. But it's probably for the better, no one should suffer like she was. It's just been a loooong two weeks. So I called into work today, to just have a day with myself. I havn't had one of those in a while and with everything running through my mind, I needed one...bad. I just need a mental health day. Just a quick blog to say hi. My fears about my ex's voiceemail and thinking she was going to say David could not come were wrong. What Ambulance??
Had a call last night. A multi car accident across the street from the barn so we happened to be outside getting ready to go for coffee so we HEARD the crash. So we take off running, my partner and I and a new memeber who is not signed off to drive yet. All 3 of us start running and when we get to the end of the driveway my partner realizes that hey we might need the actual ambulance...LOL. SO she stopped radioed on the call and then ran back and got the rig as I ran acoss the street looking like a fool I assume and started to do rapid trauma assements on our 3 pts. There were all fine but I have to say that this is the first time I have arrived at a call VIA FOOT!! especially a car accident...LOL. I think it was about 3 - 4 weeks ago now. I was heading into Scranton and on the major lane , RT 6, there was a vehicle disabled and stuck in the middle lane of 3. Ok, i was in a bitching mood and I e-maild a good friend to let her know how things were going. I was browsing throught the internet and god damn i found this recipe for Cow Udder Eclairs!! 12 fresh lean cow udders 1 pint of whipping cream 1 cup of brown sugar 1 can artichoke hearts 1 stick butter 1 small filleted smelt 1 container of Nair Soak the cow udders in Nair to remove the hair. Repeat several times if necessary until all hair is removed. Rinse in warm water. Place a stick of butter into a warm frying pan. Wait until all of the butter has melted, then add the cow udders. In a large bowl, add the whipping cream, brown sugar and the chopped artichokes and smelt. With a mixer on low, whip until creamy with a consistency like vanilla pudding. Belated Cancun Trip Report April 28 - May 5
The wife and I met our friends D and R at the Atlanta Airport Saturday morning and took a non-stop flight to Cancun. Been A Bad Day
Well, sorry if I have not been replying to messages, or posting comments, rating pics etc. The day started off great, had a day off, some of my friends boosted me over to level 10..WOO HOO... and I thank you and will return the favor 10 fold very soon. Then things went worse. Those that have pets will know what I am saying. Today I had to take my Rott (Gretchen) to the vet to be put down. She lived a long life of almost 15 years, and was in pain. I knew tha tI had to do it, but it was difficult to say good bye to a family member. She went quietly, I held her head and was able to give her a kiss good bye. I burried her in my back yard, along with my other family members (two dogs, and three cats) my boys and I dug her grave and made her cross. Well, I am hand rearing a baby kitten right now and he has nearly doubled in size in a week. That's good I am told. So far keeping him warm, clean, fed and loved are no problem. I just found out that a really good friend of mine passed away two days ago. I used to work with him before. I knew there was something wrong.... but, I was hoping this wasn't it.
