If Only You Knew.....
Hey, well here it is another year, man I can't believe how fast they keep passing. I graduated from high school 10 years ago this year and time has flown by.Any one person would say that is soooo boring, but to me it makes me think about my mortality. I have had at least nine people I love and care about die in the last 10 years, yeah everyone dies thats why I have been thinking about my own death. I have had 5 people I love die in car wrecks, my mom being one of them. Being a girl I always thought she would be here, she was only 40 and I 20. I am lucky to have had that time but being selfish and human I wanted and still want more. My story is interesting compared to some and boring compared to others. McMurdo a little city of 1,500 people (there are about 200 hundred people there during the winter - Feb. thru October). There is much to do here at McMurdo: bowling, cross-country skiiing, hiking, drinking, etc. Quick Tips: There is 24 hour daylight during the summer months, so bring your sunscreen and sunglasses. Sandals actually are nice addition for inside the dorm rooms. Best Way To Get Around: We flew into McMurdo Station by airplane from Christchurch (airfare to New Zealand included in the contract), a C-5 Galaxy that landed on 5 feet of frozen sea ice. This sea ice melted away which brought in resupply vessels. There are many different types of land vehicles that run between some sights. Walking is the best choice however, although it turns into a run if a cold wind starts to nip at you. Everyone has to share it with a roommate. The old-timers (like myself)get to stay in the suite-style dorms. We share a bathroom with a neighbor. Every other dorm shares

Just this past month,I lost my 1st born nephew.He died two days before he was to turn 16 yrs old.I buried my nephew on dec. 13th, 2008.His birthday was dec. 12th.He died on dec. 9th.He was loved very dearly by his family and friends.We will miss him so.It was the hardest thing I had to do.He was so young and had his whole life ahead of him.He died from a blood vessel that exploded in his brain.He will be forever remembered as a bright young man.R.I.P. Okay... so... I've had a ton of drama on here since I started, so let's begin shall we? First off I started DJing at Darkmoon Radio, got all setup and everything until (I wont mention names since it's the "polite" thing to do) I was DJing one night and it started to buffer on me, im sure anyone who has DJed has experienced this problem. This is from the server not getting the streaming data fast enough to keep up, also happens if a server is set at a certain bit rate and you have yours set to high. ANYWAYS! I had my bit rate set at 96kb/s 44.1khz, and the server had a max of 56kb/s, and so the server got suspended for 24 hrs. Now, I got blamed for putting the bit rate to high when I was TOLD to set it at 96kb/s.. some adults cant man up and admit they made the mistake. Sad. How Stupid Are Some People?
I have 3 dogs & I was buying a large bag of Winalot in Tesco and was standing in the queue at the till. I like neck tats - like back of the neck with a chinese character or something like that. I guess I really should start take the depression meds that have been prescribed for me on a regular basis. But for some reason, when I don't feel that they are working like they should, I stop taking them. And then that gets me to thinking. Thinking about the way my life is, and how it got this way. Went to dentist today..and the tooth I had drilled out 3 yrs ago.. and is mostly filling..well it needs root canal. I am so scared over the thought of this. Anyways.. was talking to mom tonite. Farewell
Today I was struck with a deep sadness. I no longer have a crush...she is gone. My best friend is gone! I know she hasn't been happy here in a while, but thinkin of this place without the most honest, loyal and caring friend i have ever known is very painful. One Crappy Week!
so it started out me getting the sniffles on Friday night. not much happened on Saturday. On Sunday my asshole ex dumped me because he is a dumb ass! I slept through Monday. Tuesday I went to work for all of 45 minutes before I got very dizzy. Since I was driving a box truck I almost caused and accident. I had my passenger call dispatch to say we were headed back and I was headed home. Then I went home and slept. Wednesday Shawn took me to the doctors they did chest x-rays and gave me meds and sent me home. Shawn made me eat because we realized that I hadn't eaten anything since sat night. I was drinking lots of fluids, and just wasn't hungry. Today I was relaxing eating, drinking fluids, just trying to get better. and the nurse from the hospital calls and says could you come back in we think that there might be a spot on your left lung, but it could just be a shadow of your nipple. but we want to make sure. so i go in and get new x-rays done. and i

Into 2009
Well.... those of you reading this... do care... but.... I havent been on here posting as I did daily for the last year..... 2009 IS a year of change for me...there is never enough time in the day...I would get up at 5 am...post and read my comments...messages..etc..from 5am til 6:30.. I dont have a lot of time at night..that is for the kids....once in a while I will get on at night....but....in 2009...I also KNOW...it is time for me to get back in shape...lose the weight I have gained since 2006 after getting hit by a car and going through 2 back surgeries.. and steriod injections in my spine.. physical therapy...chiropractic care....I am ready to stop excuses...and the picts I have in my album marked...Old days...2003-2005.... Most of us who work can find both good and bad in our jobs and sometimes it is like that for me but then I have to remember that I do get to go to some awesome places…such as……below!! I think I have discovered a solution to keep cubecampers away from my desk! This is a genious idea. I know it's been awhile since i've been around. Finally got a life, and im trying to keep it all together. Fubar Reality
So I created my account on here in October but didn't get active until December. And I got active with vigor. I did what alot of people do when they first get on here. I looked and rated as many pics as I could, rated the blogs and stash, and blinged, fanned, friend'd, gifted and so on like a madman. And it was fruitful in relationship to the motivation. My coffee maker gives me one hour to brew and drink however much coffee I'm having that day. At the end of an hour, the coffee maker shuts off, thus preventing the coffee from cooking to the bottom of the pot and ensuring me of a perfect cup of coffee every time. I have only one complaint about my coffee maker—and it's the same one I have with every coffee maker—is that I can only get five cups of coffee out of it, even though it says I'm making ten cups. I don't know anyone who gets more than five cups out of their coffee maker, so this is something that needs to be addressed by the manufacturers. When Carol and I got married, we received several coffee cups in our pattern and they were very cute, but awfully dinky. They're way too small to drink coffee out of, but they're just right for a snack of chips and salsa. Now that I've rambled on about that, back to business

Okey... If you wondered how I got the terrific burn and awesome scars, let me relate. This is what the machines I operate look like. In July of 2004, we were performing a weekend shutdown. One of the tasks is to scrape clean a fume hood located near the front. It is something we'd all done a million times. As I was scraping away, my shirt came in contact with a pilot flame and ignited. Cotton burns. Like paper. I ended up with 2nd and 3rd degree burns over 70% of my back. Yeah, owie. The hospital sent me to the Burn Unit at the University of Michigan Hospital, where it was determined I would need skin grafts. That's not really a fun thing. When you hear that burns are the worst type of injury, believe it. The worst part was debridment, the removal of the dead skin. On a scale of 1-10, the pain was 194. It was a 9 month recovery. I couldn't be near any heat sources, and to this day, have to keep the grafted skin out of the sun. So much for mowing the lawn shirtle

Being an Army Veteran and proud of the fact, it gives me great pride when I see other people take pride in their country in dispalying our Flag. It does however sadden me that many of these people do not know the proper way to display the flag and in doing so inproperly it is a disgrace. It has become one of my biggest pet peeves.
