I've always believed that love would find me. Lounges
I need to make it to level 10 soon, so that I can start my lounge. I am going to start a pagan lounge for the coven of the White Stag. Also if you are interested, I would love to hear from you too. I just wont to create a place, were people, can go to be there selves. I am not sure on the music choice yet, because I haven't figured out how to use it yet, but this is going to be a fun experience. I hope everything works out. Deployment
I am going to Iraq in July. I should return in January. I was asked to go by my former boss to go work for him over there in Al Asad. This is a rare thing to be asked to go. Usually it is more like "Hey, you are going in 3 months, get ready." I agreed to go. The pay over there will be good and also I am planning on re-enlisting while I am over there. Hopefully I will pick up Sgt too.

Good Morning all.... Well, last night at work was one of the toughest that a nurse has to face. We had a patient whose health was declining for about 5 days. She lived a good life though, she was 100 years old. It was a very difficult night to say the least. It was my first work realted death. No one ever prepares or teaches you how to deal with this when you are training to be a nurse. No one tells you how best to deal with the patient or the family or your peers for that matter. The lonliness I felt for this woman was almost overwhelming. I notified family, but suprisingly no one wanted to come and be with her in her final moments. So, who does that leave....ME. I stayed with this woman all night and made her as comfortable as possible. Really, how comfortable can you make one who is facing death? This Life Of Mine 29
I had two meetings this morning, one at 9:15 and one at 9:30 and 15 miles away from each other so really impossible for me to make both of them. I opted to send the stuff needed for the work meeting to work with Peter and have him give it to my Dad so they could have it if they needed it. I then went to my meeting at the high school for Anthony. It was a meeting about his tardiness and absenteeism problem! It was kind of a pointless meeting but they called anthony in there and we talked to the vise principal and he told him to stop going to his locker between classes and just carry his books so he won't be late for class anymore! Anthony is doing a lot better so I am happy as can be about that. The vise principal told Anthony that he has had good behavior lately and he thanked him for that. I sometimes wonder why when I have finished one ordeal, before I have time to catch a breath, I am being slammed with another challenge. Daily Musings
Well, I had my first horse show on Saturday Feb 9th. For starters, I was nervous as hell. Just like your first time driving, or your first day of high school, or hell even college...You're not really scared (well, some aren't), just nervous. It's a new experience, one you've never had before only heard about. Throughout the day I had 5 different people offer me a beer to calm my nerves, and Mel even offered me a Valium, lol. It was Georgia's first time at a show as well. It was a new place for her, a new experience and for the most part she did well. She wasn't used to be ridden for more than an hour or so a day, but she was a trooper, and except for a few kinks she did well. I rode her for about 2 hours all the while trying to clam my nerves. On top of being nervous, I do not do well in big crowds, especially when I'm the center of attention. Everyone came up to me throughout the day complimenting me or talking to me about my horse. Sky Diving
I went sky diving for the first time in my life on president's day, Monday. This is an experience I knew I had to try at least once. So now I can cross it off yay. The dive itself was short, only about seven minutes, but I'll remember it for so much longer. Looking down out of that plane 12,000 ft. to the ground I first thought I must have been crazy. But then my tandem instructor jumped and I at first felt hella scared looking down at Earth and moving so damn fast. All I could do during the first 30 seconds was psych myself up by saying "he will pull the chute, he will pull the chute" then I calmed down and we spun around for the remaining 30 seconds of the freefall. I was asked today by my SO why I have seemed so angry lately and why I seemed to pull away from her lately. I am currently 500 miles away from her and didn't want to go over it on the phone. So I was chatting with a friend tonight as I recieved a text from another asking if I'd seen the lunar eclipse... so I asked him (the chatter) if he had. So I am on a rant this morning for lots of reasons, one being the fact that I managed to diffuse a MUMM hater, which for some reason made the MUMMer delete the whole damn MUMM and start again. Did you see that in the paper the other day about those carp in the Mississippi River jumping into boats and bonking fisherman in the head? It's true. They're called big head carp, they're from Asia and they're attacking and severely injuring many fisherman. So the last month or so has been pretty shitty, mid January my grandma on my dads say passed away from cancer and then this past Sunday, Feb 17th, my grandma on my moms side passed away. So yeah, its been pretty rough and crappy. They both lived far from me, one in California and the other in Virginia, and I hadn't seen either of them for a few years, but they were my grandmas and now I'll not be able to see them again. Just when I think Winter is over....it gets cold again and is raining. :( I am really ready for Spring to come. It was nice having a week of almost 70 degree temps. I will stop my bitching now. And she tells me that her cousin a Jennifer had died on Monday by a train, this girl had her future ahead of her she was going to be going to OU and playing softball for them. And now she won't, my niece and Uncle are both being very strong right now. Snow Keeps Piling Up
On Feb. 17, 2008 a total of 0.93 of liquid precipitation fell by 11 am when it switched over to snow which fell steadily till 3:30 pm. Strong winds blew the 2.8" of snow around and there were whiteouts in the rural areas. Some of te roads drifted shut again. The barometer fell to a low of 29.05" which is the 2nd lowest reading ever recored for the month of February. The total snowfall for February stands at 34.0" which is also our 2nd snowiest month ever. Only January total stands at 67.7". We set a daily record for precipitation on Feb. 17 with 1.20". Our 34.0" for the first 17 days of February is also a new record for any month. While the first half of February was below normal, last year, the first 15 days were over 14 degrees colder. The first 10 days saw below readings. With 3.84" of precipitation so far this month, we are now in 2nd place for the wettest February, only 2001 with 4.19" had more.

So was at the last stop on the route the other day in Hartford. Tonight I was playing video games in the truck stop and I kept hearing someone making noises that sounded like they were having their own one person party. I turned to look and saw a little chubby Mexican guy playing the free machine. He was hooping it up every time that his little game character did anything, including dieing. I kind of shook my head and chuckled. That's when he noticed me laughing and decided to talk to me. Long story short, in his broken English, he gave his life story to me over dinner. He had only recently became a citizen in the US. He worked 41 years of his adult life to be here legally. He told me of his struggles in Mexico, and the things he and his family had gone through to do things the right way. Some of the stories he told brought tears to my eyes. To sum it all up, and not bore you to tears, the man made me take a minute to be thankful for the life I have. Life is like the mist you see just as the sun's coming up in the morning. You see everything real clear when it's close up like in the present. What A Mess....
So on Tuesday I was in a horrible car accident caused by a man stalled out on the highway. I got a few minor injuries. Bad. But to top it off I then I find out he has NO insurance. Worse.
