STS-51L CHALLENGER The Challenger shuttle crew, of seven astronauts--including the specialties of pilot, aerospace engineers, and scientists-- died tragically in the explosion of their spacecraft during the launch of STS-51-L from the Kennedy Space Center about 11:40 a.m., EST, on January 28, 1986. The explosion occurred 73 seconds into the flight as a result of a leak in one of two Solid Rocket Boosters that ignited the main liquid fuel tank. The crewmembers of the Challenger represented a cross-section of the American population in terms of race, gender, geography, background, and religion. The explosion became one of the most significant events of the 1980s, as billions around the world saw the accident on television and empathized with any one of the several crewmembers killed. Well here we go again...I've had my profile deleted twice now...hopefully 3rd times the charm. Was admitted yesterday to st joe's hospital room 1501 will be having surgery i broke my c1 which is putting pressure on the base of my brain and i have a severe spinal compression and i'm not to move even coughing could paralyze me surgery will today. My surgery went well, I have my whole neck fused. I had busted open the origianl fix in my neck and the screw came withing 1.6millimeters of severing my spinal cord. I do finally have freelings in my arms and legs. and I feel 110% better than I did when I first got here. Great Documentary!
im watching this great documentary called "Breasty: A Documentary". It is so interesting. it tells about how women have advantage through their breasts and it brought up one good point that really hit home so far. in the documentary, the bigger girls talk about how they never want their significant other to see them naked because they feel self conscious about it. and the lights go out. I told myself that I didn't want to mess up on forms, so the technique part was what I mangled, but it's all good! The test was like this.... A Hard Week Ahead
Im now entering what I would call the hardest week of my life. Putting the final arrangements together for Stevens Funeral on Thursday. We are due to see the Humanist to talk about Steven's life so he can arrange for what he is going to say during the service. We have asked for a strange request for the funeral, that people dont wear funeral attire, although it is a sad occassion, we dont want it to be, but more of a rememberance of what Steven stood for and what he was like - and that was happiness, people who have seen Steven or seen his photos knows he had a very infectious smile and knew how to make other people smile. A lot of people going to the funeral are wearing football (soccer) shirts. I am going to wear one of Stevens old football shirts on the day. The social club that my brothers and me go to have had the Union Jack flying half mask in his honour since his death. Growing Up
For those Born 1920-1979 First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked &/or drank while they were pregnant. Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets & when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking. As infants & children, we would ride in cars w/ no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags. Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat. It's not easy having 5 people in your family and only one bathroom! Taking showers and using the restroom are not that easy and it is only the second day of dealing with it and already I am about to scream. Peter got a total of 4 or 5 tiles laid down yesterday. There is a GOD!!! This I can tell you because of an accident that happened on Saturday January 26,2008 on I 77 near Rock Hill SC. There was me and four other passengers in a small four door car traveling on the interstate when we were behind an 18 wheeler loaded with big heavy solid tubes of some sort. The driver of the rig had his right turn signal on trying to get into the right lane, so we were going around him in the left lane when suddenly he swerved back into the lane that he was trying to get out of. I'm curious if anyone really knows the answer. I'm watching the Florida Primary results and I noticed something that's happened twice on the Democrat side between Clinton and Obama. I noticed the same thing in in New Hampshire for that primary. Both times, votes were taken away from Obama and given to Clinton. In New Hampshire when I caught it it was around 500 votes or so....It wouldn't matter much i know....But Florida the votes were over 20,000 this time. That is a lot of votes to disappear from one candidate and reappear for another candidate. Maybe it's something common, but the shit disturbed the hell out of me...

While I was sitting on the couch last night watching TV I heard one of my rug rats coming down the stairs. I looked over at my daughter and told her she was crazy. At the age of 31 I had never been in ambulance as a patient untill yesterday and I would be content if it never happened again. Here's the story...yesterday morning while getting ready for work my hands and feet started to itch and burn (great an allergic reaction i figured) so i take some benadryl and keep getting ready for work when before i know it my hands are swelling my eyes are swollen and lips are huge (and not sexy big but scary big) and then within 5 minutes my throat started to swell shut and i couldn't breathe (in total this took maybe 20 minutes). Well if you haven't guessed it wasn't just an allergic reaction i was in full blown anaphalactic shock. Tragedy
Early this morning I heard my mom on the phone with one of my Aunts. Sometime a lot early in the morning my 25 year old cousin died in his sleep. When I heard that I shot right out of bed. Let's just say that is something that you do not want to hear when you are just waking up. I just can't believe that my cousin is now gone. And to make matters worse, he left behind a daughter. I can't even imagine what my Aunt is going through right now. Not to mention that someone has to tell his daughter that he daddy is dead. So much for trying to have a good day today. Work
This blog may sound like I am bitching and moaning, but I work as a sous chef at an assisted living home. I work and work till I am worn out by the time I go home. I have a co worker that works there, but also works another job and I am not really sure why. Anyway, my boss sent him home yesterday before I got to work because he says he was tired. I come to work tired some times because of the other things I have to do around the house. Welllllll I get a phone call this morning and called back. It was my boss thinking he was going to have to ask me to come in. If this had been me I would have have gotten my ass canned. He has done this mess before and even got his ass put in the hospital because of one of his "problems". Doesn't seem too fair does it???? Wish I could go into work and then decide I didn't want to work and be able to go home.

I have made a lot of friends, won some hearts, and lost a few a long the way. I know I made an impact or an impression enough for them to stay. I am fighting cancer, and life is so trying. Yet I find myself wondering why me. I have been ripped of ever having children, and I married a man whom had two beautiful sons. I took them under my wing, and called them My two Sons. Their father was cruel, and put me down so I had enough told him no more love was there to be found. He took my kids, left me alone. Now I am stuck in life my pockets empty, and my house hollow.
