My Life
Down in Beantown (Boston) for the summer to take care of some stuff and get caught up with some old friends before I go traveling again. This weekend I am out in upstate NY attending my niece's 10th wedding anniversary. She has me doing all of the cooking for about 60 people. This job really sucks for me at the moment. I can't stand it. It's getting harder and harder to keep my mouth shut. Today, before 9:00 am, the Project Manager mouthed off to our CO, who does not have any patience. Why can't civilian contractor employees understand that when a CO directs you to do something, you either better do it or keep your mouth shut? If he's wrong and you shouldn't do what he is telling you, then you keep your mouth shut and come up with a game plan to prove he's wrong. I have never served in the military, but I'm smart enough to know that when a CO tells you something, you don't give them any lip. What's really crazy is that this PM has served in the Navy. One day I was working the counter at my friend’s scuba shop when a Latin couple came in. The guy was this kinda short, extremely ripped, and very macho type. i'm writing this just to share my experience and hope it may help others.I thought i was a survivor of DV, but today i found out differently, you see my teenage son punched me today.He grew up watching his dad abuse me, and i thought i educated him about dv. i guess i was wrong, he doesn't even think what he did was wrong.Yes i kicked him out but the only place he has to go is with his dad, great.....now i feel like i'm right back where i was before i left his dad. i really hate feeling like this, like i'm out of control of my life. I'm very dissapointed in the local DV program, they helped me greatly when i needed to get away from my ex, but today i called 3 times for help and got no call back.If anyone who reads this has been thru the same thing plz message me with some tips. 3 slices bacon 1 bunch collard greens - rinsed, trimmed and chopped 1 onion, diced 1 (6 ounce) smoked pork chop, diced 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth 1 (12 fluid ounce) can beer salt and pepper to tastHeat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add bacon, and fry until crisp. Remove bacon, and drain off excess fat. Add the onion; cook and stir until slightly browned. Add the pork chop, and season with cayenne pepper. Cook until pork is browned. Add the collard greens, and pour in the chicken broth and beer. Cook over medium-low heat for 30 to 40 minutes, until collards are tender. Crumble bacon on top, and season with salt and pepper before servinge

1 (4 pound) chicken, cut into pieces 2/3 cup all-purpose flour salt and pepper to taste 2 teaspoons garlic powder 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 cup sherry Put the flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder in a brown paper bag. One by one, coat the chicken parts with mixture. In a large skillet, fry the chicken in 1 inch of hot oil until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the pan and drain the oil. Put the chicken back into the pan and cover the pieces with cooking sherry. Cover the pan and reduce to simmer. Let simmer for 20 minutes. Serve. 2 pounds medium shrimp, peeled and deveined 1/2 cup butter, melted 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 cup dry white wine 3 green onions, chopped Preheat broiler to 500 degrees (260 degrees C). Stir shrimp together with butter, garlic and wine. Place on a baking sheet and broil for 10 minutes. Sprinkle on scallions and broil for another 2 to 3 minutes, until shrimp are firm. Serve hot.

So last night while we were all getting drunk and playing video games, some chick knocks on our door. The Sweet Potato Pie
20 pounds frozen cleaned chitterlings, thawed 1 large baking potato 2 large onions, peeled and halved 1 green bell pepper, chopped 3 cloves garlic 3 stalks celery, with leaves 1 cup apple cider vinegar 2 tablespoons salt 1 bay leaf 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning to taste 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste Clean the chitterlings by removing all the specks and fat with specks on them. Rinse in several changes of salted water. Place them in a large pot and fill with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, drain, rinse and fill with enough water to cover again. Return to the heat and add the potato, onions, green pepper, garlic, celery and vinegar. Season with salt, bay leaf, Creole seasoning and red pepper flakes. Cover and simmer over medium heat for 3 to 4 hours. Chitterlings should appear clear to white in color. Cut the chitterlings into 1 inch pieces and return to the pot. Pour out most of the cooking liquid. Discard the potato, onions, celery and bay leaf

Those Born 1930-1979! TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1930's 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's !! First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes. Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking. Surgey!!
I am goin to have surgery again on the 19th of this month. They will be takin out my uterus & ovaries. They said I had more problems than just the endometriosis & that is the reason for them wanting it done so soon. I will be in the hospital for at least two days. I will be off work for at least 6 wks. I hope everything goes smoothly. Keep me in your prayers. I had the sugery today. They only just looked around today. They want schedule another sugery. This next time they will be taking it all. My uterus & my ovaries. They said that I had multiple sights of adhesions. So that is my only option now. Hello everyone, I have just finished reading book 7, but know that some of you people have not, so I won't leave any spoilers. After seeing movies 1-5 and reading these books, I have to say I was very disappointed with the way the new Director has been handling the movies. The Director that did movies 1 and 2 did a great job and didn't leave too much out and gave Harry Potter fans a true Harry Potter Movie. Then from there, we got a new Director on board, and while the movies are great and the acting suberb they left out so much stuff I had to wonder if J.K Rowling didn't regret signing away her say so. Being an artist myself, I was horrified when I say how much the Director left out and believe that the things that we left out hurt the movie and that should they had been put in, the movie would have done better. Well so far this year has been pretty decent and hasent kicked me in the ass like many before. Ive decided that this year is going to be the year of making changes and not letting myself settle for just anything. Thats why I am joining the National Guard. My First Blog
I really don't think that I can handle much more. In the last week I've lost 3 people. I lost my great grandma on the 14th, I lost a friend (Jarrett Lane) on the 16th at Virginia Tech, and this morning I lost my great aunt. Everytime I turn around something is going wrong. Everytime things finally start to look up, it all goes to hell. I am so sick of this. And everything that happened at VT is really killing me. Hello Everyone, Meet Tilly. She is a 9 year old ABPT/Boxer mix girly. This is her story, and it will break your heart. Tilly was bought by her previous owners as a pup and lived as an outside dog her whole life. When she became elderly, the family decided they didn't want her anymore and left her in the backyard with no food or water, for only god knows how long. When they finally thought she was dead, they took her to animal control to dispose of the body, and they realized she was still alive. Animal control left her in the back in a cement kennel with a bowl of slop and water expecting her to be ok. HAPBTR rep's found her in the back and immediately took action to get her out, sense she had been there two weeks with no medical attention. They did her vaccines and heart worm test and found out she was SEVERELY heart worm positive. We we're all devastated , but hope not lost for our Tilly.
